A single-machine infinite system (SMIS) simulation model with AVR, thyristor high gain exciter and PSS is established by using the mathematical mode and Simulink. Firstly, the dynamic performance simulation of the system is carried out under different disturbance conditions. Then analyze the dynamic performance of the system with different types of power system stabilizer ( PSS ) . The experimental results show that the system with PSS can effectively suppress the low-frequency oscillation and maintain the dynamic stability of the system. And the two-input PSS provides better robustness to the system than a single-input PSS.

Permanent magnet synchronous machines have advantages such as small size, light weight, high efficiency, etc. It is more and more widely used in robots, electromagnetic propulsion, electric vehicles and so on. High power density and high torque density are urgent need for those applications. The electromagnetic design of machines mostly adopt multi-pole magnet patterns to reduce the stator yoke size. It helps to decrease the mass of the machine with the same power and improve the torque density. As the number of poles grows larger, the frequency and the core loss of per unit volume will also increase with the same speed, which can aggravate the heat problem of the machine. It is easy to generate the low-order vibration with high flux density. Therefore, the performance of a special-shaped external-rotor machine and comparisons with the traditional machine are analyzed in this paper. Numerical simulation is conduced to validated that the special-shaped magnet pattern can reduce the torque ripple, improve the torque output and power density. From the two-dimensional Fourier analysis of the radial electromagnetic force, it is found that the low-order amplitude of the special-shaped machine is greatly reduced, so the vibration can be avoided. Subsequently, the vibration simulation is carried out to indicate that the magnet pattern can satisfy low level in vibration and noise of the machine.

Atmospheric glyoxal(GLY) and methylglyoxal(MGLY) are key precursors of secondary organic aerosol(SOA). However, anthropogenic emissions of GLY and MGLY and their contribution to surface GLY and MGLY concentrations, as well as the secondary organic aerosol(SOA) formation, are not well quantified. By developing an emission inventory of anthropogenic GLY and MGLY and improving Community Multiscale Air Quality Model(CMAQ) with SOA formation from irreversible surface uptake of GLY and MGLY, as well as a precursor-origin resolved technique, we quantified the source contributions of GLY and MGLY and their impact on wintertime SOA formation in Beijing, China. The total emissions of GLY and MGLY in Beijing in 2017 are 1.1×10～4 kmol and 7.0×10～3 kmol, respectively. Anthropogenic primary emissions are found to be the dominant contributor to GLY and MGLY concentrations(～74% for GLY and ～63% for MGLY). Anthropogenic primary emissions of GLY and MGLY contributes to 30% of GLY/MGLY SOA daily average concentration and accounts for up to 45% of nighttime GLY/MGLY SOA. The study suggests that the anthropogenic GLY and MGLY emissions, mainly from gasoline vehicles and cooking, are important for SOA formation and shall be strictly controlled in Chinese megacities.

In order to meet the operational needs in some narrow environments, the hyper-redundant snake-shaped manipulator has received extensive attention and has been widely studied due to its compact shape and multiple degrees of freedom. At present, the research of hyper-redundant manipulator mainly focuses on the straight push platform. Considering the limitation of working space, this paper designed a hyper-redundant manipulator delivered by a curled turntable. According to the characteristics of turntable delivery, a tip-following algorithm based on curve fitting and a tip-following strategy based on terminal posture record are proposed. Finally, with the algorithm applied to the physical robot we made, we successfully realized the tip-following motion control of the hyper-redundant manipulator.

The concept of cloud energy storage provides a new idea and platform for the scale application of consumer-side energy storage. To further study the role of cloud energy storage in business, we improve the optimization clearing model of cloud energy storage on the basis of benefit analysis. In this paper, a distributed Nash bargaining method is used to share the profits obtained from their cooperation, and we explain it through model derivation. Finally, an example is given to verify the effectiveness of this method.

The Roller-Quadrotor is a novel quadrotor that combines the maneuverability of aerial drones with the endurance of ground vehicles. This work focuses on the design, modeling, and experimental validation of the Roller-Quadrotor. Flight capabilities are achieved through a quadrotor config-uration, with four thrust-providing actuators. Additionally, rolling motion is facilitated by a unicycle-driven and rotor-assisted turning structure. By utilizing terrestrial locomotion, the vehicle can overcome rolling and turning resistance, thereby conserving energy compared to its flight mode. This innovative approach not only tackles the inherent challenges of traditional rotorcraft but also enables the vehicle to roll through narrow gaps and overcome obstacles by taking advantage of its aerial mobility. We develop comprehensive models and controllers for the Roller-Quadrotor and validate their performance through experiments. The results demonstrate its seamless transition between aerial and terrestrial locomotion, as well as its ability to safely roll through gaps half the size of its diameter. Moreover, the terrestrial range of the vehicle is approximately 2.8 times greater, while the operating time is about 41.2 times longer compared to its aerial capabilities. These findings underscore the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed structure and control mechanisms for efficient rolling through challenging terrains while conserving energy.

Improved simultaneous extrapolation in sharp impulse signals in time and frequency domains

The characteristic of the transient response of the grounding system takes on a fast rising and slow damping with the lightning excitation. An improved simultaneous time and frequency domain extrapolation method is presented based on Hermite function expansion, which takes the above mentioned characteristic of the transient signal into account, using early time response and low-frequency data, the complete electromagnetic response is generated. By using mutually complementary data, simultaneous extrapolation in time and frequency domains are carried out by using the Hermite polynomials as the basis function. However, the extrapolation method is not suitable to deal with the transient response with the fast pulse excitation. The improvement for the extrapolation method is to pre- and post-process the transient response data with the fast pulse excitation. As a pre-processed procedure, in order to reduce the condition number of the matrix used for determined the coefficient of basis function, the scale transformation is used in time and frequency domain respectively, and the data in time domain is smoothed and padded with zero. An adaptive algorithm to determine the order of Hermite function is also proposed. As a post-processed step, the transient data are smoothed by using GPOF to obtain a convergent result. The numerical example and the field measurement are presented to illustrate the application of this methodology. The method proposed enhances the ability of the simultaneous time and frequency extrapolation techniques.

Modern network-constrained unit commitment (NCUC) bears a heavy computational burden due to the ever-growing model scale. This situation becomes more challenging when detailed operational characteristics, complicated constraints, and multiple objectives are considered. We propose a novel simplification method to determine the flexible temporal resolution for acceleration and near-optimal solutions. The flexible temporal resolution is determined by analyzing the impact on generators in each adaptive time period with awareness of congestion effects. Additionally, multiple improvements are employed on the existing NCUC model compatible with flexible temporal resolution to reduce the number of integer variables while preserving the original features. A case study using the IEEE 118-bus and the Polish 2736-bus systems verifies that the proposed method achieves substantial acceleration with low cost variation and high accuracy. Existing pedestrian re-identification methods based on deep learning have achieved good results under constrained conditions. However, there exist some challenges including large human pose variations, viewpoint changes, severe occlusions and imprecise detection of persons. So we present a Hard/Soft hybrid Attention Network (HSAN) that combines pose information and attention mechanism to deal with the challenges. Our model includes two main parts: Pose-guided Hard Attention (PHA) and Regional Soft Attention (RSA). PHA uses the keypoints generated by pose estimation to enhance the foreground information, and RSA is learned to eliminate the background clutter. We extract reliable features and locate discriminative regions by using these two modules to handle occlusions, pose changes and background noises. We conduct a lot of experiments on public datasets including DukeMTMC-ReID, Market-1501, and CUHK03, and the results show that our method achieves stateof-the-art performance.
