Traditional time-domain simulation method has long calculation time on transient voltage stability margin prediction problem, the direct method is difficult to adapt to the complex power grid model, and the deep neural network method requires a large data set. In this paper, we propose the method based on LightGBM, which has the advantages of appropriate model complexity and less training time demand. Based on a regional subsystem of Guangxi power Grid with more electrolytic aluminum load, and a power system transient voltage stability margin prediction model based on LightGBM is constructed. To solve the long tail distribution learning problem, target clipping and log transformation techniques are proposed to enhance the model. The effectiveness of them is verified by experiment results. And we propose a new metric, partial RMSE, to evaluate the performance of the model fitting the instability data. The experiment results also show that it has achieved better performance and training time than other machine learning models. © 2021 IEEE.

Application of renewable energy is an effective way to control the excessive petroleum consumption in transportation ***,there is a worthy concern about the applicability of alternative fuel on in-use vehicles and the variation of exhaust emissions when switching from the traditional gasoline to a new *** paper is aimed to investigate the impact of two typical kinds of alcohol gasoline,E10 and M15,on fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions of a late-model multi-port fuel injection（PFI） passenger vehicle over the worldwide harmonized light-duty test cycle（WLTC）.The results showed that fuel consumption and CO emissions of the test vehicle with both E10 and M15 were higher than that with gasoline.E10 reduced most of the gaseous and particulate emissions,except NOx,while M15 deteriorated the exhaust emissions seriously,especially for the THC and PN emissions those increased by approximately 3.4 and 4.6 *** most likely reason was that M15 did not match the configuration of engine and emission control system of this test *** studies about fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions after traditional gasoline replaced by alcohol gasoline has also revealed the deterioration when the alcohol gasoline didn't match the vehicle configuration,which would result in some negative impact on the atmospheric environment.

This paper presents an optimal power flow (OPF) model for AC/DC meshed networks with Modular Multilevel Converter based High Voltage Direct Current (MMC-HVDC) system. The OPF problem is formulated to minimize the total network loss of the whole AC/DC grids by adjusting generators and modular multilevel converters considering N-1 constraints and post-contingency corrective control. A practical method is proposed to handle N-1 static security constraints and corrective control with OPF more effectively. simulations are conducted on IEEE 39-bus testing system and a practical power grid. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. © 2017 IEEE.

Continuous-time random disturbances from the renewable generation pose a significant impact on power system dynamic behavior. In evaluating this impact, the disturbances must be considered as continuous-time random processes instead of random variables that do not vary with time to ensure accuracy. Monte Carlo simulation (MCs) is a nonintrusive method to evaluate such impact that can be performed on commercial power system simulation software and is easy for power utilities to use, but is computationally cumbersome. Fast samplings methods such as Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) have been introduced to speed up sampling random variables, but yet cannot be applied to sample continuous disturbances. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes a fast MCs method that enables the LHS to speed up sampling continuous disturbances, which is based on the Itô process model of the disturbances and the approximation of the Itô process by functions of independent normal random variables. A case study of the IEEE 39-Bus System shows that the proposed method is 47.6 and 6.7 times faster to converge compared to the traditional MCs in evaluating the expectation and variance of the system dynamic response. © 2020 IEEE.

In the new power system, the output of new energy power stations has strong volatility, which leads to huge deviation assessment expenditure. Therefore, based on the improved data preprocessing algorithm and deep learning algorithm, a day-ahead reporting strategy of wind power plants considering error prediction characteristics is proposed. Firstly, considering the historical real output and prediction error, the historical data is decomposed based on the complete noise-assisted ensemble empirical mode decomposition algorithm (CEEMDAN). Then, the components are introduced into the long short-term memory (LSTM) optimized by the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (IPSO), and the components are reconstructed to obtain the original prediction curve and the error prediction curve. Finally, the empirical distribution function is used to revise the prediction error curve, and the original prediction curve and the error prediction curve are superimposed to obtain the final day-ahead report curve. The correctness and feasibility of the reporting strategy are verified by simulation analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

Loss of excitation (LOE) is a common fault found in the generators. The most widely applied method for detecting a generator loss of excitation is the use of impedance relays to sense the variation of impedance as viewed from the generator terminals [1]. However, compared with China's approachs, in the setting of impedance circle, the IEEE's allow the circle to extend along the negative X axis, meanwhile, in the latest edition of the "IEEE Guide for AC Generator Protection", the circle is further extended, reaching to -*** think this is adverse, to prove our point, the paper ,basing on the IEEE 9 bus model and using computer digital simulation, have studied various loss-of-excitation conditions and some system disturbances that may lead to the relay false tripping. simulation results indicate that the IEEE's method not only can't accelerate the operation effectively, but also will increase the chances of maloperation.

Batteries are used the energy storage of the pure electric vehicle. When the battery pack work in the high temperature environment for a long-term, permanent damage that high temperature does to the battery cannot be restored, the battery life will be drastically reduced. When the batteries temperature reaches a relatively high value, the battery pack will caught fire. This paper firstly analyzed the characteristic of the Lithium-ion Battery by batteries experiment. On the basis of the thermal experiment,this paper do a lot of research of the cooling method by ANSYS and verified the accuracy of the model of the thermal model. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Black carbon(BC)is considered the second largest anthropogenic climate forcer,but the radiative effects of BC are highly correlated with its combustion ***-road vehicles are an important source of anthropogenic ***,there are major uncertainties in the estimates of the BC emissions from on-road light-duty passenger vehicles(LDPVs),and results obtained with the portable emissions measurement system(PEMS)method are particularly *** developed a PEMS platform and evaluated the on-road BC emissions from ten in-use *** demonstrated that the BC emission factors(EFs)of gasoline direction injection(GDI)engine vehicles range from 1.10 to 1.56 ***^(-1),which are higher than the EFs of port fuel injection(PFI)engine vehicles(0.10–0.17 ***^(-1))by a factor of *** BC emissions during the cold-start phase contributed 2%–33%to the total emissions.A strong correlation(R^(2)=0.70)was observed between the relative BC EFs and average vehicle speed,indicating that traffic congestion alleviation could effectively mitigate BC ***,BC and particle number(PN)emissions were linearly correlated(R^(2)=0.90),and compared to PFI engine vehicles,the instantaneous PN-to-BC emission rates of GDI engine vehicles were less sensitive to vehicle specific power-to-velocity(VSPV)increase in all speed ranges.

The distribution network detection devices are generally using two kinds of instrument current transformer (ICT), of which one is used to transform the travelling wave and transient signals, while the other is used to transform the power frequency signals. Such scheme is neither necessary nor economical. This paper analyses the influences of sampling resistance, stray capacitance and magnetizing inductance on the frequency characteristic of ICT. Considering that fault zero sequence transient current has big transient component and small power frequency component, an ICT with wide band frequency accuracy has been chosen. Practical experiments have been done. The technical parameters given by the instrument factory are only within 20-20kHz. The characteristics in higher frequency are seldom reported due to the lack of test means. The experiments in this paper is based on the transient tester instrument and current amplifiers developed by our laboratory, which can output wide frequency band current within 20Hz-100kHz up to 50A. Experiment shows that, the predicted results were in good agreement with the measured ones.

Cleanliness of energy system requires both NOx reduction due to urgent air pollution control and CO2 cutting due to long-term climate change pressure. In the urban heating sector, quick-win plans use to be popular that focus on the NOx reduction by replacing untreated scattered coal fired boilers to natural gas or combined heat and power generators (CHPs). Meanwhile, in the electrical sector, all these fossil fuel generators should be cut down in the long-term decarbonization process. There should be a need for coordination of short- and long-term targets, because two energy supply sectors are believed to work in a coupled way in the future. A three-layered collaborative planning model is proposed in this paper: the top layer focuses roadmap economic evaluation;the middle layer applies coupled production simulation aiming at verifying energy balance;and the bottom one checks real-time operational feasibility. Pathways are made from 2020 to 2040 based on Hebei, China. Results indicate that the pathway with quick win will have delayed construction of renewable power, resulting the slow process in emission control. The long-term strategy scheme greatly promotes the renewables for supply in both sectors, but the close operational link forces the decoupling, leading to rebound on emission and operation cost on decentralized heating for the long-term future. In conclusion, the tradeoff pathway, reducing CO2 emission as much as possible with NOx emission controlled to acceptable level, is recommended with good performance on emission control and economy. © 2020 IEEE.
