Due to the discharge of industrialwastewater,urban domestic sewage,and intensive marine aquaculture tailwater,nitrate(NO_(3)^(−))pollution has emerged as a significant issue in offshore *** pollution affects aquatic life and may interact with other pollutants,leading to comprehensive ***(Cd^(2+))is the most widespread metal contaminant,adversely affecting aquatic life in the coastal waters of *** this,few studies have focused on the synergistic toxicity of NO_(3)^(−)and Cd^(2+)in marine *** study conducted a 30-day exposure experiment on marine Japanese flounder(Paralichthys olivaceus)to explore the synergistic toxicity of NO_(3)^(−)and Cd^(2+).Our results demonstrated that the exposure to Cd^(2+)alone induced slight histopathological changes in the ***,malformations such as hepatic vacuolar degeneration and sinusoid dilatationwere exacerbated under ***,co-exposure induced the downregulation of antioxidants and the upregulation of the product malonaldehyde(MDA)from lipid peroxidation,indicating potent oxidative stress in the *** increased mRNA expression of IL-8,TNF-α,and IL-1β,along with the decreased expression level of TGF-β,indicated a synergistic inflammatory response in the ***,the co-exposure led to an abnormal expression of P53,caspase-3,caspase-9,Bcl-2,and Bax,and disturbed the apoptosis in the liver through TUNEL staining ***,our results imply that co-exposure synergistically affects inflammation,redox status,and apoptosis in ***,the findings from this study provide valuable perspectives on the ecological risk assessment of marine teleosts co-exposure to NO_(3)^(−)and Cd^(2+).

Sulfation treatment has been widely used to promote the catalytic performance of ceria(CeO_(2))based catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR of NO).Praseodymium oxide(PrO_(x)),another commonly used rare earth material with similar structural properties as CeO_(2),also shows satistactory redox properties due to the facile redox cycle of Pr^(3+)■Pr^(4+).In this work,gas phase sulfation treatment with varied duration was performed on PrO_(x) at 200℃,and the NH_(3)-SCR activity of sulfated PrO_(x) was *** on the results of systematic characterizations(e.g.,N_(2)-physisorption,NH_(3) oxidation,NO oxidation,in situ diffuse Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy),it is revealed that the catalytic performance of sulfated PrO_(x)is highly dependent on the sulfation time(or the amount of sulfate species deposited on PrO_(x)),which has a significant impact on the competitive reaction between NH_(3) oxidation and NH_(3)-SCR of NO,thus determining the NH_(3)-SCR activity of PrO_(x).This work provides new insight into tuning the interaction between PrO_(x) surface and reactants(NO,NH_(3))via sulfation treatment,which cam guide the design and application of PrO_(x)based catalysts for NH_(3)-SCR of NO in the future.

Laser ultrasound is a non-destructive inspection technique, but its application in internal defect detection and state characterization is limited by its weak body wave displacement induced by thermo-elastic mechanism. In this paper, the influence of the constraint layer on the directivity of laser induced ultrasonic force source and the excitation efficiency of longitudinal wave is analyzed by finite element modeling with transparent glass as the constraint layer. With the optimization of the parameters of the confinement layer, the longitudinal waves with energy comparable to that of the free surface ablation mechanism can be excited under the thermoelastic mechanism, which greatly improves the efficiency of the longitudinal wave of laser ultrasonic. Applying the above research results to the detection of internal defects, the imaging results of the internal defects are obvious and the location defects are accurate. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Utilizing the reverberation chamber to build a system-level HIRF test system for civil aircraft, and the influencing factors of the uncertainty of the test system were qualitatively analyzed through the establishment of a mathematical model. The uncertainty is extended by quantitative analysis of the mathematical model, the measurement uncertainty of the HIRF test system is calculated, and the uncertainty factor influence is controlled to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test results. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2024.

Abstract. The propagation attenuation law of elastic waves generated by rock mass fractures in strata is of great significance in explaining engineering problems, such as rock bursts. In this study, a wave velocity model was established based on the actual stratum conditions of the Jining No.2 coal mine in China. The propagation process of different types of elastic waves is simulated using the elastic wave equation and finite difference method. The attenuation coefficients of various elastic wave parameters propagating at different positions were calculated. Based on the calculated results, an attenuation equation for the elastic wave energy is proposed. The results show that the propagation of S-waves and P-waves in strata is similar to each other, and wave pattern transformation occurs at the interface of the strata. The magmatic rocks played a role in channeling and reflecting elastic wave propagation, leading to the occurrence of low-energy aftershocks in the coal seams. The peak displacement, peak stress, and energy density of the elastic wave that propagated to the coal seam after the siltstone layer fracture of the roof of the 3down coal seam decreased to 28%, 25%, and 9% of the source, respectively. The attenuation of elastic wave energy is highly correlated with the propagation distance, and the attenuation equation can be represented as an exponential function. These results are of great significance for revealing the propagation attenuation process of elastic waves in the stratum. © 2025 Techno-Press, Ltd.

The magnesium sulfate(MgSO_(4))-ascorbic acid(Vc)compound leaching technique can extract rare earth elements(REEs)existing in ion-exchangeable phase and colloidal phase from ion-adso rption type rare earth ore through the synergy effect of coordination and reduction,but its reaction process and mechanism remain *** this paper,the coordination-reduction leaching mechanism was analyzed from the perspectives of leaching thermodynamics and kinetics,which provide theoretical guidance for the compound leaching *** the case of neodymium,about 45%of dissolved neodymium will exist as the complex species of NdVc_(()3(aq))in Nd-Vc-sulfate *** on this,it is deduced that the Gibbs free energy of the leaching reaction of ion-exchangeable phase REEs will change to a more negative value through the coordination of REEs cations and Vc anions in the MgSO_(4)leaching *** addition,the E_(h)-pH diagrams of Ce-SO_(4)^(2-)-H_(2)O and Fe-SO_(4)^(2-)-H_(2)O together with the dissolution experiments confirm that the added Vc initiates the leaching process of colloidal phase REEs through reduction-dissolution *** the study of leaching kinetics,the leaching of REEs is controlled by diffusion and chemical reaction in the co mpound leaching system since colloidal phase REEs are ***,the addition of Vc can shift the leaching equilibrium to a more favorable state and accelerate leaching *** rare earth leaching efficiency of ion-exchangeable phase and colloidal phase can be effectively improved by increasing the reaction temperature,the conce ntrations of leaching agent and Vc,and the leaching agent acidity.

China's aging demographic poses a challenge for treating prevalent bone diseases impacting life quality. As bone regeneration capacity diminishes with age due to cellular dysfunction and inflammation, advanced biomaterials-based approaches offer hope for aged bone regeneration. This review synthesizes materiobiology principles, focusing on biomaterials that target specific biological functions to restore tissue integrity. It covers strategies for stem cell manipulation, regulation of the inflammatory microenvironment,blood vessel regeneration, intervention in bone anabolism and catabolism, and nerve regulation. The review also explores molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying aged bone regeneration and proposes a database-driven design process for future biomaterial development. These insights may also guide therapies for other age-related conditions, contributing to the pursuit of ‘healthy aging'.
