In recent years, the design of anomaly detectors has attracted a tremendous surge of interest due to security issues in industrial control systems (ICS). Restricted by hardware resources, most anomaly detectors can only be deployed at the remote monitoring ends, far away from the control sites, which brings potential threats to anomaly detection. In this paper, we propose an active real-time anomaly detection framework deployed in the controller of OpenPLC, which is a standardized open-source PLC and has high scalability. Specifically, we add adaptive active noises to control signals, and then identify a linear dynamic system model of the plant offline and implement it in the controller. Finally, we design two filters to process the estimated residuals based on the obtained model and use χ 2 detector for anomaly detection. Extensive experiments are conducted on an industrial control virtual platform to show the effectiveness of the proposed detection framework.

Real-time and accurate water supply forecast is crucial for water plant. However, most existing methods are likely affected by factors such as weather and holidays, which lead to a decline in the reliability of water supply prediction. In this paper, we address a generic artificial neural network, called Initialized Attention Residual Network (IARN), which is combined with an attention module and residual modules. Specifically, instead of continuing to use the recurrent neural network (RNN) in time-series tasks, we try to build a convolution neural network (CNN) to recede the disturb from other factors, relieve the limitation of memory size and get a more credible results. Our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on several datasets, in terms of accuracy, robustness and generalization ability. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In order to solve the problem of image degradation caused by dust environments, an image degradation model considering multiple scattering factors caused by dust was first established using the first-order multiple scattering method. Then, a dark channel prior principle was applied to present an image restoration algorithm based on the image degradation model. Finally, GA optimization algorithm was applied to optimize the atmospheric light and the exposure parameters. This optimization algorithm was established according to the criterion of the image evaluation based on kirsch operator with automatic threshold. By using the method an optimistic result of image restoration was obtained. The experimental results have shown that the method not only enhanced luminance and contrast, but also discovered more detail edges information. The method provided a foundation for target recognition in the dust environments.

The self-organized criticality is a fundamental property for organisms to perform normal functional *** large-scale biological neural network researches have found the existence of self-organized criticality through avalanche phenomenon, which is typical characteristic of self-organized criticality. However, such research method is not suitable for small-scale biological neural network, because number of neurons in small-scale biological neural network is not large enough to support the emergence of avalanche phenomenon. It has been demonstrated that branching parameter can also be used to describe the propagation of activity in the neural network. Here, in this paper, the C. elegans neural network composed of 302 neurons is selected to investigate the existence of self-organized criticality using branching parameter. Based on the obtained connectome of C. elegans, a directed graph model is constructed to simulate the gradient potential of neurons and the activity of C. elegans, then, the existence of self-organized criticality in the neural network of C. elegans is proved by using branching parameter method. Meanwhile, the result is further confirmed by analyzing the calcium activity data of C. elegans obtained from biological experiments.

This study investigated the optimal tracking performance (OTP) of multi-input multi-output (MIMO), discrete- time networked control systems (NCSs). The limits of tracking performance (TP) under the influences of bandwidth, encoding- decoding, and additive coloured Gaussian noise (ACGN) are derived using the techniques of coprime decomposition and all-pass decomposition. The results reveal the negative impact of non-minimum phase (NMP) zeros and unstable poles of the plant as well as network communication constraints on the TP of NCSs. Finally, a numerical simulation is discussed and verifies our conclusions.

Distributed Nonconvex Optimization: Gradient-free Iterations and ϵ-Globally Optimal Solution

Distributed optimization utilizes local computation and communication to realize a global aim of optimizing the sum of local objective functions. This article addresses a class of constrained distributed nonconvex optimization problems involving univariate objectives, aiming to achieve global optimization without requiring local evaluations of gradients at every iteration. We propose a novel algorithm named CPCA, exploiting the notion of combining Chebyshev polynomial approximation, average consensus, and polynomial optimization. The proposed algorithm is i) able to obtain ϵ-globally optimal solutions for any arbitrarily small given accuracy ϵ, ii) efficient in both zeroth-order queries (i.e., evaluations of function values) and inter-agent communication, and iii) distributed terminable when the specified precision requirement is met. The key insight is to use polynomial approximations to substitute for general local objectives, distribute these approximations via average consensus, and solve an easier approximate version of the original problem. Due to the nice analytic properties of polynomials, this approximation not only facilitates efficient global optimization, but also allows the design of gradient-free iterations to reduce cumulative costs of queries and achieve geometric convergence for solving nonconvex problems. Estimating the pose information on moving vehi-cles is one of the most fundamental functions of autonomous driving for detecting and tracking moving objects. The current methods are often based on the prior information of the point cloud distribution, however, the distribution in the actual scene changes dynamically, and is easy not to meet a priori. This paper proposes a 3D pose estimation method based on heuristic rules. In a single frame point cloud, the edge length and edge visibility are used to heuristically screen the candidate orientations established by the convex hull sampling method. On consecutive frame point clouds, tracking heuristics are employed to obtain smoother orientation estimation results. The experimental results on the KITTI dataset and the data from the actual scene of vehicles show that the proposed method reduces the average object-orientation error and improves the accuracy of estimation effectively.

This paper considers privacy-concerned distributed constraint-coupled resource allocation problems over an undirected network, where each agent holds a private cost function and obtains the solution via only local communication. With privacy concerns, we mask the exchanged information with independent Laplace noise against attackers with potential access to all network communications. We propose a differentially private distributed mismatch tracking algorithm (diff-DMAC) to achieve cost-optimal distribution of resources while preserving privacy. Adopting constant stepsizes, the linear convergence property of diff-DMAC in mean square is established under the standard assumptions of Lipschitz smoothness and strong convexity. Moreover, it is theoretically proven that the proposed algorithm is ϵ-differentially private. And we also show the trade-off between convergence accuracy and privacy level. Finally, a numerical example is provided for verification.
