Mining additional modulation information of signal propagation environment as a new fingerprint feature is more important for modern radar reconnaissance systems. This paper proposes a definition and processing method of a new radar emitter fingerprint from multiple path propagation environment, and demonstrates its application in an improved radar pulses deinterleaving task. For the fingerprint generation, the proposed method reconstructs a reference radar pulse by pulse description words (PDW) and correlate it to intercepted pulse sequence firstly. Then an adaptive threshold is utilized to pick out the main peaks belonging to the same radar. Next all the selected range profiles take a procedure of self-focusing and coherent accumulation among different pulses. Finally, propagation environment fingerprint (PEFP) is obtained after eliminating main-peak by CLEAN in the accumulated results. For the deinterleaving application, a sparse auto-encoder (AE) is used to extract high dimensional features from the generated PEFPs, then the features are combined into traditional PDW as extended features to implement an improved deinterleaving task. Simulation results verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed fingerprint. The PEFP enhanced deinterleaving processing can improve the precision by 6% in non-cooperative conditions compared with traditional methods. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

An efficient collector is one of the key factors in improving the overall efficiency of a sheet beam traveling wave tube(SB-TWT). In this paper, K-means algorithm is used to process the massive data of sheet electron beam (EB) after beam-wave interaction, so that a more representative and smaller amount of data is obtained. These data will be imported into the CST Tracking module for the quickly simulation design of the collector. The designed two-stage depressed collector is applied to a 6 kW continuous wave Ku-band SB-TWT with 26 kV Voltage and 1.3 A current. The collector efficiency is up to 80.79% with a backflow current of 0.13%. The overall efficiency of SB-TWT reaches about 52.9%. © 2023 IEEE.

In-band full-duplex (IBFD) integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) systems, where the base station (BS) simultaneously conducts the IBFD mode for both communication and sensing functions, increase spectral efficiency and reduce both communication and sensing latency. However, it is challenging to decouple the target echo and uplink communication signal at the digital domain of the receiver within serious self-interference (SI) from the transmitter. This paper investigates a digital canceller for IBFD ISAC systems with orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform, enabling IBFD communication and sensing within the same time-frequency resource. With the proposed frequency-domain two-stage interference cancellation method, the ISAC receiver cancels the static interference and extracts the moving target echo signal for the sensing function. Subsequently, the uplink communication signal is decoupled after mitigating the target echo signal. Both sensing and communication performance are evaluated under different merits. Meanwhile, simulation and experiment results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the frequency-domain-canceller-enabling IBFD communication-based ISAC system. © 2014 IEEE.

With the increasing number of satellites being launched in China,the demand for Telemetry,Tracking,and Command(TT&C)resources is also *** of the global coverage and resource requirements of TT&C management,this paper proposes a TT&C scheme based on the Global Short-Message Communication System(GSMCS)of the BeiDou-3 Navigation Satellite System(BDS-3).The system composition,workflow,and functions of satellite TT&C are analyzed using the GSMCS of *** the coverage analysis of the Medium Earth Orbit(MEO)constellation of BDS-3,scheme’s applicability is pointed out,and the correctness of the analysis results is verified via *** value range of the link distance is derived by calculating the range of the distance variation between any 2 satellites in the BDS-3 MEO constellation and combining the intersatellite routing *** calculation results show that the response time range of the autonomous request management application of in-orbit satellites based on the GSMCS of BDS-3 is 1.407 to 2.448 *** can meet the requirements of TT&C service.

This paper presents a method of generating sub-nanosecond microwave pulses with a high compression factor using a reflection structure. This method can reduce the length of the compressor and has a high compression factor, which can further enhance the power level of broadband vacuum electron amplifiers. In the experiment, a microwave pulse with a duration of 0.257 ns and a high compression factor of 43.3 is generated. The experiment is in good agreement with our theory and simulation. © 2024 IEEE.

The malicious jamming attacks will disrupt legitimate public wireless communication systems, which has become a critical issue that must be considered in modern communication system design. This paper considers an anti-jamming unicast transmit beamforming problem with a smart reactive jammer. We model this problem as a Stackelberg game and formulate a bilevel optimization problem, in which the base station maximizes the minimum signal-to-interference-jamming-noise ratio (SIJNR) of legitimate users and the jammer minimizes the maximum SIJNR. This problem is quite challenging due to its hierarchical structure and nonconvexity. A penalty method is developed to solve this problem, which transforms it into a mathematical program with equilibrium constraint (MPEC) problem after implementing a tight semi-definite relaxation (SDR) method. The numerical results demonstrate its superior performance. © 2023 IEEE.

With the popularity of drones, incidents that threaten public safety caused by drones occur more frequently. In drone control and countermeasures scenarios, it is needed to further identify drones of the same type based on type recognition in order to determine the specific source of the signal. Existing schemes are multistep, which increases the complexity and overhead of post-maintenance. In this work, we propose a joint scheme based on RE fingerprinting where the type and individual belonging to the same type are identified in one step. Specifically, we adopt short-time Fourier transform to calculate the spectrogram of the received signal and label the types and individuals of the drone signals on the spectrogram to develop a data set. Based on the data set, we train a YOLOv5 neural network to extract detailed RF characteristics to identify which type and individual the signal belongs to. To further improve the identification performance, we introduce grayscale image colorization. Furthermore, we use median filtering to reduce noise and protect image edge information. Results on data set composed of real signals from 18 drones of 9 types show the classification accuracy of our proposed framework reaches over $98\%$ at saturation and $3\%$ higher than the method without grayscale image colorization.

In this paper, an on-chip wideband bandpass filter (BPF) with high frequency selectivity and low insertion loss is proposed using gallium arsenide (GaAs) integrated passive device (IPD) technology. Multiple transmission zeros can be provided by the capacitors loaded on the series and parallel LC resonators for the proposed design. Comparing with the state-of-the-art on-chip wideband BPFs, the proposed design has the advantages of high frequency selectivity and low loss. The final filter centered at 1.93 GHz with the 3-dB fractional bandwidth of 64.2% is demonstrated, which exhibits the excellent shape factor (30-dB BW/3-dB BW) of 1.28 and the minimum insertion loss of 1.17 dB. © 2023 IEEE.

Movable antennas (MA) allow flexible positioning within a specified region, enhancing wireless communication performance. This paper explores leveraging MA to improve physical layer security in analog beamforming (AB) systems. Specifically, we aim to maximize the secrecy rate by jointly optimizing the AB and MA positions under constant modulus (CM) and position constraints. To solve the resulting non-convex problem, we propose a penalty product manifold (PPM) method, which converts MA position constraints into a penalty function, reformulating the problem as unconstrained optimization on the product manifold space (PMS). We then derive a parallel conjugate gradient descent (PCGD) algorithm to efficiently update both AB and MA positions, providing analytical solutions at each step and ensuring convergence to a KKT point. Simulation results confirm that the MA system achieves a higher secrecy rate than systems with fixed antenna positions.

While 6G provides communication services for massive wireless devices, it faces huge security risks due to its open feature. Cooperative jamming techniques in physical layer security provide a viable way to ensure 6G security. By actively transmitting jamming signals to deteriorate the eavesdropping channel, while authorized receivers implement cooperative jamming cancellation (CJC) using the prior knowledge of cooperative jamming, thus securing the communication at the physical layer. In practice, incomplete matching of oscillator device characteristics will lead to the in-phase and quadrature (IQ) imbalance problem, where the quadrature branches of the up and down converted carrier signals are not perfectly orthogonal to the in-phase branches, which may degrade the CJC performance. For this reason, this paper specifically analyzes the impact of the IQ imbalance problem on the CJC performance, where a closed-form expression of the jamming cancellation ratio (JCR) with respect to amplitude imbalance and phase imbalance is derived. The simulation results show that when jamming-to-noise ratio (JNR) is 35 dB, the system can tolerate up to 1% amplitude imbalance and 1° phase imbalance with 3 dB JCR degradation. Moreover, the IQ imbalance has a noticeable effect on the reachable security rate of the communication system.
