In the training of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), the conventional max unpooling architecture introduces significant sparsity for zero-filling during upsampling, leading to additional resource costs in adjacent deconvolution layers. In order to leverage the high sparsity of the recovery matrix, this paper proposes a low-complexity hardware architecture. This architecture solely stores the input matrix in the max unpooling layer, eliminating the need for the upsampling recovery process, while mapping the stored relative indices from the forward inference to deconvolution. Moreover, the deconvolution process exclusively involves non-zero elements, reducing computational and storage requirements. This paper derives the distribution of the maximum number of non-zero values corresponding to the deconvolution window for different layers, demonstrating its compatibility with networks of various sizes. Synthesizing the proposed architecture on Arria 10 AX115N2F45E1SG, for the VGG16, it can save 60.7% of ALMs and 68.8% of storage resources, Moreover, the proposed architecture enhances the frequency by 8.0%.

Negative emotion will spread among the crowd, and make people irrational. Intervention can reduce crowd panic by isolating the source of transmission or spreading positive emotions, which is an effective measure to ensure the safety of the crowd. However, it is still a very challenging problem that how to use appropriate intervention to maximize the influence to infected individuals while minimizing the cost of the intervention. To this end, we present an intervention optimization method for crowd emotional contagion (IO-CEC) to adaptively intervene in negative emotional contagion. First, we build a stochastic events based emotional contagion model (SEEC) to capture the dynamic evolution characteristics of crowd emotional contagion. In this model, we combine the SIS infection model and the Markov stochastic process to study the dynamic change of the number of infected individuals. Second, we propose a Hawkes process based intervention model (HIM) to describe the intensity of intervention. By using the Hawkes stochastic point process, two intervention intensity functions are defined to quantify the infection rate and recovery rate. Then, in order to improve the efficiency of intervention, we formulate the intervention optimization as a problem of maximizing the utility and use a heuristic algorithm to solve it. Finally, we implement a crowd emotional contagion simulation system to visualize the results of emotional intervention. Experimental results show that our method is effective and has great significance for guiding realistic emotional intervention.

With the development of human-computer interaction and mobile sensors, emotion recognition based on physiological signals has aroused a lively discussion among scholars. The main difficulty faced is the small amount of data which leads to poor training results. In this paper, we proposed a multimodal emotion recognition using CNN-SVM and data augmentation (CSDAMER). Electrocardiography (ECG), galvanic skin response (GSR) and respiration (RSP) are utilized as input data, which are less requiring on the collection environment and can be collected by mobile sensors. To improve the training effect of model, data augmentation is performed by transformations, such as inversion, recombination and noise injection. Moreover, the convolutional layer of the convolutional neural network (CNN) is leveraged to extract the high-level features of the physiological signals, and then the features are input into the support vector machine (SVM) classifier to obtain the recognition results. The experimental results show that CSDAMER achieves 80.7% and 79.92% accuracy in arousal and valance, respectively. Compared with CNN alone, the accuracy of arousal and valance is increased by 12.87% and 9.95%. Meanwhile, the addition of the data augmentation improves the accuracy in arousal and valance by 21.94% and 25.73%.

With the development of cloud computing, container cloud, and other technologies, CPU and memory virtualization becomes more mature. Since the performance of I/O virtualization affects the overall operational efficiency of the system, improving I/O performance and the utilization of transmission bandwidth of devices is the focus of virtualization technology research. Based on the theoretical research of Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) technology, this paper designs and implements a Direct Memory Access(DMA) interaction architecture based on SR-IOV virtualization devices using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), which solves the need for high-speed data transmission between cloud computing platforms and virtual devices. This architecture adopts the processing method of independent virtual device management descriptors and shared data movers, ensuring independent operation between virtual devices and reducing the resource utilization rate of the design. Firstly, the chain structure is employed flexibly and efficiently to achieve descriptor management. In the meantime, it also reduces the pressure of interrupts on the CPU. Secondly, the data mover implementation framework adopts asynchronous pipelining mode, with extremely high transmission performance. After testing and verification, the interactive architecture can achieve high-speed data communication, with read and write bandwidth utilization rates of up to 87% and 79%, respectively. At the same time, this architecture can balance the bandwidth allocation among virtual devices.

On the basis of designing and implementation of heterogeneous dual computer fault-tolerant system architecture,a Markov based system availability evaluation model is proposed to address the problems of how to evaluate and estimate the availability index of such high availability *** evaluation model we analyze the system's availability,estimate the availability index,and prove the superiority of such heterogeneous system by comparing it with stand-along system and homogeneous dual computer *** estimation and comparative analysis results shows that,such evaluation model evaluate the system's availability effectively,and prove the system can meet the requirements of five 9s high availability ***,the paper sums up two main factors which impact the availability of heterogeneous dual computer fault-tolerant system,one is the mean time between failure and the other is system's total repair time.

The current approaches of deep neural network lack capacity on action recognition, yet ineffective structure for spatiotemporal feature learning, and heavy parameters of architecture are even harsh to optimize. In this paper, we propose multi-clue sparse 3-dimensional convolutional networks(MS3D ConvNet) based on landmark works that aims to make it far known in this field. The MS3D ConvNet enhances channels of input through low, medium, and fast pathways with disparate frames of video, frame sequences considering as temporal clue sampled in terms of variance rate of action. The frames of each pathway are convolved with commonly shared kernels forming cohorts as initial results, and pile up three-way cohorts to the 3D block transmitting to subsequent 3D network. The 3D network is modified by DenseNet architecture with randomly dropping out connections among the layers, and introduces 3D convolutional kernels to deal with temporal information, eventually generating 256-dimension codes of actions. Action recognition employs centers of vector clusters of actions instead of stubborn format, which provide a robust convergence environment. Spontaneously, the MS3D ConvNet fosters capacity of action information and hardly ever sustains heavy amounts of parameters which deserves double profits. This fancy structure also leaves an end-to-end fashion training and a possibility to pre-train parameters. Besides that, we devise tailor strategy based on yolo algorithm to endow disparate factors on pixels in compliance with bounding box frontier, regarded as the means of attention. The MS3D ConvNet has been applied to three public action datasets and a self-defined dataset, which performs advanced steps on accuracy, convergence, and robustness.

The non-volatile logic unit based on memristor can build a computing architecture which integrates processor and memory. A novel XOR logic gate as well as half adder with four memristors, one NMOS and one power excitation is proposed in this study. The constraints on the NMOS and power excitation are also presented. The effectiveness of the XOR logic gate proposed is confirmed by the simulation results of LTSPICE. Compared with several prior schemes, the design has better performance in terms of power consumption, operation steps and architecture complexity. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SpMV) is a memory intensive kernel, executing with different thread quantity is very different in performance. In this paper, we present a new method based on knowledge discovery technology to give the optimal thread quantity to improve SpMV performance and reduce execution time. Considering the feature of sparse matrix, which affecting the efficiency of SpMV, we cluster sample matrices by hierarchical clustering algorithm. Record the attributes values of the matrix that has large arithmetic intensity with different thread quantity in each cluster. Then predict thread quantity by comparing similarity between the test and record matrices. We test 10 sparse matrices on the Xeon E5-2670 multi-core platform. The experimental results show that the thread quantities predicted by this method agree with the practical result, and the accuracy of prediction reaches 90%. The method we proposed can estimate the optimal thread quantity accurately that can improve SpMV efficiency and reduce the computation time effectively.

Anomaly detection on servers is a crucial technique with the increment of computing patterns in this period. To accommodate current demands, we propose a version of a bilateral detection scheme based on the baseboard management controller with machine learning to conduct compound anomaly detection and boost the upper bound. On the local part, the naive logic trees are deployed on the calculating module to make initial detection and carry out prompt actions maintaining the applicable working environment. Once the local anomaly alerts, the remote part is triggered to judge with the Gaussian Mixture Model, which ensures the anomaly type and proceeds with advanced steps. The bilateral detection system resorts to edge computing priority and scientifically allocates computing power to improve the level of anomaly detection on servers. The anomaly detection system’s effect herein is excellent in real-time demand and stability.
