We introduce a novel RGB-D descriptor called local ordinal intensity and normal descriptor (LOIND) with the integration of texture information in RGB image and geometric information in depth image. We implement the descriptor with a 3-D histogram supported by orders of intensities and angles between normal vectors, in addition with the spatial sub-divisions. The former ordering information which is invariant under the transformation of illumination, scale and rotation provides the robustness of our descriptor, while the latter spatial distribution provides higher information capacity so that the discriminative performance is promoted. Comparable experiments with the state-of-art descriptors, e.g. SIFT, SURF, CSHOT and BRAND, show the effectiveness of our LOIND to the complex illumination changes and scale transformation. We also provide a new method to estimate the dominant orientation with only the geometric information, which can ensure the rotation invariance under extremely poor illumination.

In recent years, the rapid development of network and E-commerce technologies, promotes the development of human body big data. New technologies, such as 3D scanning and 3D printing will improve our life quality. The new socialized manufacturing network composed of Io T, advanced logistics network and 3D printers. Everyone is allowed to have chance to participate in any process of the whole production manufacturing lifecycle by some ways, such as crowdsourcing. Boosts the creation, production and consumption patterns of individuation, real-time transformation and E-commerce, possibly will lead to a new industrial revolution. In this revolutionary change wave, public concerns focus on the human body big data used for social manufacturing of wearable products or personalized medical treatment. Although many scholars have done a lot of research work, the collection of the human body shape big data still faces many challenges. There is no complete, separated theoretical research works in progress, it should be summarized and improved systematically. In this paper, we review that big data for human body shape is gaining momentum. The 3D scanning and 3D modeling of human body shape are summarized and concluded. The main applications of these big data are analyzed.

In recent years, the Information technology develops rapidly. With the development of the Information technology, the social manufacturing, a new mode of manufacturing, has been proposed. The social manufacturing combines the Internet technology, the three-dimensional scanning technology and the virtual reality technology, and is used in the apparel industry and other fashion industries for the mass customization. The three-dimensional scanning technology and the virtual fitting mirror technology are inseparable from the depth camera. Depth cameras play an important role in the social manufacturing. Manufacturers use depth cameras to obtain three-dimensional models of the body of customers to design suitable clothes. Customers can visually see the effect of clothes by using a virtual fitting mirror which is based on the depth camera. The social manufacturing makes mass customization possible, and the depth camera help develop the social manufacturing. This paper introduces the principles of depth cameras, and the application of depth cameras in the social manufacturing.

In this paper, we consider the internal stabilization problems of FitzHugh-Nagumo （FHN） systems on the locally finite connected weighted graphs, which describe the process of signal transmission across axons in neurobiology. We will establish the proper condition on the weighted Dirichlet-Laplace operator on a graph such that the nonlinear FHN system can be stabilized exponentially and globally only using internal actuation over a sub-domain with a linear feedback form.

A modified method for analyzing authentication protocol security using Colored Petri Nets

The security problems of authentication protocol have been increasingly recognized. However, it is difficult to design an effective and secure authentication protocol for industrial networks, which is not only because of the characteristics of industrial networks, but also due to the lack of proper analysis techniques. In this paper, a modified method for analyzing authentication protocol security using Colored Petri Nets (CP-Nets) is presented. Especially, in this modified method, CPN tools is used for the construction and the analysis of CP-Nets model. The modified method is applied in the analysis of the Helsinki protocol. An attack, which is the same as the one found by G. Horng and C. K. Hsu, is found after the model checking. NiO, conductive polymers have many important applications in supercapacitor, lithium-ion batteries, H2 production with photocatalysis, chemical sensors, biosensors, electrochromic, environmental fields, and so on. Due to P-type semiconductors of NiO and polyaniline, the NiO/Polyaniline (PANi) would be a new nanocomposite with synergistic behaviors or complementary properties. Different morphologies of NiO were synthesized with hydrothermal method. NiO nanosheets arrays on glass substrate were obtained with optimized condition. And the NiO nanosheets arrays were immersed in the solution of aniline accompanying chemical oxidation reaction. The results indicated that a very thin layer of NiO, Ni(OH)2 nanosheets arrays with organic functional modification of polyaniline were formed on glass substrate due to acid etching effects. The results of XRD showed that the presence of NiO and Ni(OH)2 in prepared film were observed. The FTIR results also confirmed that this very thin film contained the components of polyaniline. This paper proposes a new control synthesis approach for the stabilization of boundary-controlled parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs). In the proposed approach, the optimal boundary control is expressed in integral state feedback form with quadratic kernel function, where the quadratic's coefficients are decision variables to be optimized. We introduce a system cost functional to penalize both state and kernel magnitude, and then derive the cost functional's gradient in terms of the solution of an auxiliary "costate" PDE. On this basis, the output stabilization problem can be solved using gradient-based optimization techniques such as sequential quadratic programming. The resulting optimal boundary control is guaranteed to yield closed-loop stability under mild conditions. The primary advantage of our new approach is that the costate PDE is in standard form and can be solved easily using the finite difference method. In contrast, the traditional control synthesis approaches for boundary-controlled parabolic PDEs (i.e., the LQ control and backstepping approaches) require solving non-standard Riccati-type and Klein-Gorden-type PDEs.

In this paper, a discrete mathematical approach to solve scheduling of multi-pipeline systems for petroleum products under demand uncertainty is presented. To deal with the uncertainty, the conditional value-at-risk(CVAR) analysis is adopted as a risk measure. Firstly an improved scheduling approach is proposed to model the multi-pipeline system with the consideration of different pipeline segment sizes. The improved formulation is computationally intractable when pipeline segments have distinct capacities. Then the model takes a scenario-based approach to cope with uncertainty in a CVAR framework. Computational results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. All the instances are implemented using CPLEX.

The integration of process design and control (IPDC) has become increasingly important and received considerable academic and practitioner attention over the recent decades. Moreover, some works in the field have utilized advanced controllers into IPDC framework. Considering the fact that the hierarchical control structure which consists of local PID controllers and an advanced process control (APC) as the central controller has been used widely in industrial practice, in this paper, the two-level hierarchical control structure is taken into account within the IPDC framework for the first time. The IPDC problem using hierarchical control structure is formulated as a bi-level optimization problem, which separates the design decisions from the APC decisions and then keeps the problem size manageable. And the APC decisions are incorporated in a superstructure-based dynamic optimization formulation which considers both cost and controllability. A continuous stirred tank reactor is used to test the proposed IPDC methodology.

With the development of smart grid and opening-up progress of the electricity market, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) plays a more and more important role in the power electric industry. Conducting medium and long term consumption pattern analysis of major customers can help the electricity providers grasp the changing trends of the future consumption, and thus better formulate the dedicated tariff offers and provide professional services according to various consumer demands. However, it's computationally costly and impossible to conduct such analysis for every single customer. To overcome this complexity, this paper aims to provide an effective solution to group customers into certain number of categories with similar electrical behavior by utilizing clustering techniques. By combining distance and correlation, a novel clustering validity indicator is proposed to evaluate the effectiveness of clustering procedure, which is subsequently helpful for choosing algorithms and the optimum number of clusters. Eventually, a case study has been conducted with electricity market data including various electricity customers from different industrial fields. Two frequently-used clustering algorithms have been employed to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.
