The small-signal stability of multi-terminal high voltage direct current(HVDC)systems has become one of the vital issues in modern power *** among voltage source converters(VSCs)have a significant impact on the stability of the *** paper proposes an interaction quantification method based on the self-/en-stabilizing coefficients of the general N-terminal HVDC system with a weak AC network ***,we derive the explicit formulae of self-/en-stabilizing coefficients for any N-terminal HVDC system,which can quantify the interactions through different paths *** relation between the self-/en-stabilizing coefficients and the poles of the system can be used to evaluate the impact of the interactions on the system stability ***,we employ the obtained formulae to analyze the parameter sensitivity and explain how a parameter affects the stability of the system through different paths of ***,extensive examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Based on the coding scheme, this paper proposes a method to distinguish false data injection (FDI) attacks and sensor faults in networked control systems. Since attacks and faults occur on physical devices and cyber layers respectively, the coding scheme is capable of amplifying attack-induced residuals, while keeping fault-induced residuals unchanged. We utilize the false positive and negative rates to evaluate the effectiveness of the coding scheme in achieving threat differentiation. Accordingly, we design a suitable threshold for the residue-based detector, and derive a sufficient condition for the coding matrix, such that the above two indicators can be guaranteed to be sufficiently low. Furthermore, from the perspective of mathematical statistics, we analyze the possibility of an intelligent attacker cracking the coding scheme by eavesdropping the transmission data. In this case, the time-varying coding matrix should be adopted to ensure its effectiveness in distinguishing attacks and faults. Finally, some numerical simulations are given to verify the theoretical results. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

MAO-DBN based membrane fouling prediction

Due to the complexity of the factors influencing membrane fouling in membrane bioreactors (MBR), it is difficult to accurately predict membrane fouling. This paper proposes a multi-strategy of integration aquila optimizer deep belief network (MAO-DBN) based membrane fouling prediction method. The method is developed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of membrane fouling prediction. Firstly, partial least squares (PLS) are used to reduce the dimensionality of many membrane fouling factors to improve the algorithm's generalization ability. Secondly, considering the drawbacks of deep belief network (DBN) such as long training time and easy overfitting, piecewise mapping is introduced in aquila optimizer (AO) to improve the uniformity of population distribution, while adaptive weighting is used to improve the convergence speed and prevent falling into local optimum. Finally, the prediction of membrane fouling is carried out by utilizing membrane fouling data as the research object. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can achieve accurate prediction of membrane fluxes, with an 88.45% reduction in RMSE and 87.53% reduction in MAE compared with the DBN model before improvement. The experimental results show that the model proposed in this paper achieves a prediction accuracy of 98.61%, both higher than other comparative models, which can provide a theoretical basis for membrane fouling prediction in the practical operation of membrane water treatment. © 2024-IOS Press. Oral Potentially Malignant Disorders (OPMD) contain a variety of diseases with complex pathological features, most of which are associated with systemic diseases and have a high risk of malignant transformation, making diagnosis challenging. In this regard, we adopted rapidly developing artificial intelligence methods in recent years, using deep learning for feature extraction and multi-task research on images of oral mucosal diseases. Concerning the severity of oral mucosal diseases, we employed a Swin Transformer-based classification model for the classification of benign diseases, OPMD, and oral cancer, achieving an accuracy of 94.2% and a precision of 95.0%. Further research explored the instance segmentation algorithm based on Mask2Former, comparing it with classic segmentation algorithm to achieve automated segmentation of oral mucosal inflammatory lesions. The study shows that deep learning methods can effectively discriminate the severity of oral mucosal disease images and segment lesion areas, providing solid research foundation for intelligent assisted diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

Metagenomic Insight Reveals the Microbial Structure and Function of the Full-Scale Coking Wastewater Treatment System:Gene-Based Nitrogen Removal

One-Variable Attack on the industrial Fault Classification System and Its Defense

Recently developed fault classification methods for industrial processes are mainly ***,models based on deep neural networks have significantly improved fault classification accuracy owing to the inclusion of a large number of data ***,these data-driven models are vulnerable to adversarial attacks;thus,small perturbations on the samples can cause the models to provide incorrect fault *** recent studies have demonstrated the vulnerability of machine learning methods and the existence of adversarial *** paper proposes a black-box attack method with an extreme constraint for a safe-critical industrial fault classification system:Only one variable can be perturbed to craft adversarial ***,to hide the adversarial samples in the visualization space,a Jacobian matrix is used to guide the perturbed variable selection,making the adversarial samples in the dimensional reduction space invisible to the human *** the one-variable attack(OVA)method,we explore the vulnerability of industrial variables and fault types,which can help understand the geometric characteristics of fault classification *** on the attack method,a corresponding adversarial training defense method is also proposed,which efficiently defends against an OVA and improves the prediction accuracy of the *** experiments,the proposed method was tested on two datasets from the Tennessee–Eastman process(TEP)and steel plates(SP).We explore the vulnerability and correlation within variables and faults and verify the effectiveness of OVAs and defenses for various classifiers and *** industrial fault classification systems,the attack success rate of our method is close to(on TEP)or even higher than(on SP)the current most effective first-order white-box attack method,which requires perturbation of all variables.

Bearing fault diagnosis method for unbalance data based on Gramian angular field

In the application of deep learning-based fault diagnosis, more often than not, the network model could perform better with a balanced dataset input, whereby the number of fault data is equivalent to that of normal data. However, in the context of real-world applications, the number of fault data is generally insufficient compared to the normal data. In this study, a new approach for fault diagnosis in unbalanced data sets is proposed using the Gramian angular field (GAF) method. Firstly, the GAF method is employed to convert one-dimensional data into two-dimensional data, which enhances the feature extraction process. Secondly, to balance the sample distribution, fault data is generated using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). Finally, the Residual neural network (ResNet) with an attention mechanism is utilized to improve the accuracy of fault diagnosis. The proposed method is experimentally validated using open-source bearing datasets that are published by Case Western Reserve University and the University of Ottawa. The experimental results show that the proposed method has greatly improved fault diagnosis performance in cases of data distribution imbalance, surpassing that of the compared methods. © 2024 - IOS Press. Rapid and real-time analysis of multi-component dissolved gas in seawater by Raman spectroscopy combined with continuous gas-liquid separator

Rapid and sensitive detection of dissolved gases in seawater is quite essential for the investigation of the global carbon *** quantities of in situ optical detection techniques showed restricted measurement efficiency,owing to the single gas sensor without the identification ability of multiple *** this work,a novel gas-liquid Raman detection method of monitoring the multi-component dissolved gases was proposed based on a continuous gas-liquid separator under a large difference of partial *** limit of detection(LOD)of the gas Raman spectrometer could arrive at about 14 μl·L^(-1)for N_(2)***,based on the continuous gas-liquid separation process,the detection time of the dissolved gases could be largely decreased to about 200 s compared with that of the traditional detection method(30 min).Effect of equilibrium time on gas-liquid separation process indicated that the extracted efficiency and decay time of these dissolved gases was CO_(2)>O_(2)>N_(2).In addition,the analysis of the relationship between equilibrium time and flow speed indicated that the decay time decreased with the increase of the flow *** validation and application of the developed system presented its great potential for studying the components and spatiotemporal distribution of dissolved gases in seawater.
