For the complex low-altitude flight mission of fixed-wing aircrafts, this paper proposes a terrain-based trajectory generation method based on hierarchical planning framework. The sampling-based path planning algorithm, rapidly-exploring random tree (RRT*), is modified to search collision-free low-altitude path according to the terrain information. Since the generated path by RRT is not dynamically feasible, the subsequent trajectory optimization step is introduced to refine the non-smooth path. In this step, an advanced numerical optimization method is used to achieve spatial optimization subject to the flight performance of fixed-wing aircrafts, which can improve the trajectory smoothness and dynamic feasibility effectively. Numerical simulations on complex terrains are conducted, and the results validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Autonomous formation flight of fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in confined environments still remains an open problem. To tackle this challenge, this paper proposes a safe corridor constrained trajectory planning method for formation flight. A novel safe corridor construct method is designed to generate collision-free space in narrow passage. Then, the formation keeping constraint is described by using Laplacian matrix, and the similarity deviation between current formation and predefined formation is used as the cost function in the optimization problem. The formation flight trajectory planning problem is formulated via MINCO, a powerful spatial-temporal joint trajectory representation method, to efficiently generate dynamically feasible trajectory for fixed-wing UAVs. Numerical simulations on formation flight scenarios are implemented, and the results validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the safe corridor constrained trajectory planning method. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

CuInS2/ZnS QDs-based fluorescent probe for detection of Cu2+

High concentrations of Cu2+exceeding what the required level for the cellular process can changes the properties of protein, affects the normal function of the body, but also affect the body's metabolism, so that the body's immunity appears to decline. Detection of Cu2+is important for the environmental monitoring. Here, a fluorescence probe that uses heavy metal-free and properties-superior CuInS2/ZnS was proposed for detection of Cu2+. The fluorescence intensity of CuInS2/ZnS quantum dots（QDs） decreased obviously after Cu2+were added,and the intensity with the concentration of Cu2+showed excellent linear relation within the scope of 0–50 μM, the LOD down to 0.45 μM, a possible detection mechanism was analyzed. The QDs was further applied to the detection of Cu2+in drinking water, manifesting the foreground of the current strategy.

Novel quantitative structure activity relationship models for predicting hexadecane/air partition coefficients of organic compounds

The capacity of smartphones to provide high-precision indoor positioning is an increasingly important application of these devices. Nevertheless, in complex indoor environments, it is challenging to achieve high-precision real-time mobile phone positioning through the use of a single sensor. This paper presents an analysis of the error sources and performance bottlenecks associated with smartphone indoor positioning and outlines the design of a multimodal fusion positioning method. Firstly, initial coarse positioning of the mobile phone is determined at the base station by estimating the angle of arrival (AOA) of the Bluetooth signal broadcast by the mobile phone. Secondly, in the region of coarse positioning, the time difference of arrival (TDOA) of the acoustic signals transmitted from the base station to the mobile phone is combined based on an improved indoor signal propagation model and a geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) factor. Finally, the optimal TDOA set is selected, and the weights of the two sensors are adjusted by updating the GDOP value of the device's current position in real time. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed multimodal fusion method enhances the efficiency of position computation by 18.7% in comparison to the single-sensor positioning method. © 2024 IEEE.

Identifying the origin of porous evolution of microsized bismuth in potassium-ion batteries

Microsized bismuth(Bi)with in-situ constructed three-dimensional(3D)porous network has been considered as a promising anode for high-performance potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).However,the mechanism of the in-situ porous evolution of microsized Bi during the charge/discharge process is still ***,various electrolytes are employed to disclose the origin of porous evolution of microsized Bi in *** and theoretically,the 3D porous network originates from the uniform interfacial charge distribution on the Bi surface in the linear ether-based *** addition,the universality of the interfacial charge distribution mechanism was verified by microsized Sn and *** in-situ constructed 3D porous network of Bi enables a superior potassium storage performance in a wide temperature range from-40 to 40℃.More importantly,the K_(0.9)Mn_(0.7)Ni_(0.3)O_(2)||Bi full cell delivers excellent cycling stability(a high capacity retention of 88.44%even after 2,000 cycles)and good temperature *** work gives a distinct clarification of the origin of the porous evolution of microsized Bi during cycling,which is critical for developing high-performance PIBs.

The blast furnace ironmaking process is a crucial step in the steel *** modelling the blast furnaces is significant in ensuring smooth operation and accelerating the digitalisation transformation of blast *** authors focus on the mechanism modelling of the blast furnace operation process,using a digital twin model development platform to simulate the main reaction processes inside the blast *** on-site production conditions,Si,Mn and Ti contents of molten iron and the corresponding indicators for model accuracy are *** Si,Mn,and Ti content,the Root Mean Square Error values are 0.0678,0.0108 and 0.0093 for dataset 1,while 0.0933,0.0120 and 0.0111 for dataset 2,respectively,indicating that the model has a small simulation error and high *** comparing the simulation results with accurate laboratory results,the model is validated to have satisfactory simulation reliability and compensates for the existing shortcomings in the blast furnace mechanism modelling field.

Solution-processed organic‒inorganic halide perovskite(OIHP)single crystals(SCs)have demonstrated great potential in ionizing radiation detection due to their outstanding charge transport properties and low-cost ***,the energy resolution(ER)and stability of OIHP detectors still lag far behind those of melt-grown inorganic perovskite and commercial CdZnTe counterparts due to the absence of detector-grade high-quality OIHP ***,we reveal that the crystallinity and uniformity of OIHP SCs are drastically improved by relieving interfacial stress with a facial gel-confined solution growth strategy,thus enabling the direct preparation of large-area detector-grade SC wafers up to 4 cm with drastically suppressed electronic and ionic *** resultant radiation detectors show both a small dark current below 1 nA and excellent baseline stability of 4.0×10^(-8) nA cm^(-1) s^(-1) V^(-1),which are rarely realized in OIHP ***,a record high ER of 4.9% at 59.5 keV is achieved under a standard 241Am gamma-ray source with an ultralow operating bias of 5 V,representing the best gamma-ray spectroscopy performance among all solution-processed semiconductor radiation detectors ever reported.

Underground pipe galleries are constructed beneath urban areas, providing pathways for the installation of various municipal pipelines. These galleries help protect pipelines and efficiently utilize underground space, serving as a significant facilitator for the construction of smart cities. Due to the confined space inside the galleries and the simultaneous presence of multiple pipelines, there is a potential safety hazard of fire incidents. To ensure the safe operation of pipelines, online monitoring and timely warning of fire incidents are valuable tasks. Current traditional computer vision and machine learning approaches for object detection often experience slow response time. Therefore the You Only Look Once (YOLO) series due to its fast response time, has become a popular method in real-time detection. Nonetheless, YOLOv8 still suffer from information fusion problems. In response to this issue, this paper proposed YOLOH algorithm, which improves YOLOv8 by employing the Gather-and-Distribute (GD) mechanism for intelligent online monitoring of fire incidents in underground pipe galleries. Finally, the effectiveness of YOLOH was validated using a combination of publicly available fire datasets and simulated fire datasets in underground pipe galleries. The YOLOH attains a 63.2 mAP, surpassing the YOLOv8-N baseline by +2.15 mAP. © 2024 IEEE.
