Flow field prediction of variable geometry aims for the precise prediction of varying flow fields with complex geometric shapes and their variations. By combining a novel deep convolutional neural network (CNN) model with a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method, the solution of the Navier-Stokes equation can be effectively approximated with a significant reduction in the corresponding computation time cost. This paper proposes an approach named AM UNet-3 for predicting the flow field of variable geometry, which can directly predict the expected flow field of new shapes after the training of deep CNN through extracting and identifying dual features of flow field regions: geometric information features and multi-class channel features. The AM UNet-3 is a convolutional neural network model that combines a U-Net variant structure with three independent decoders and attention mechanisms. The framework of U-Net can learn the complete numerical solutions of the N-S equations to velocity and pressure fields from ground-truth data. The three independent decoders are used to output the pressure field and the velocity components in the x-direction and y-direction respectively. The embedded channel attention and spatial attention mechanisms can enhance the ability of AM UNet-3 to extract fast-changing boundary layer characteristics. The performances of AM UNet-3, U-Net and UNet-3 are tested and compared on a dataset consisting of flow field data with 981 different geometric shapes. Experiment results show that AM UNet-3 gets the fastest inference and the lowest prediction error in the three methods. Compared with the standard CFD method, AM UNet-3 is able to speed up the computation more than three orders of magnitude. © 2024 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Broadcast Gossip Algorithm for Nash Equilibrium Seeking of Nonaggregative Games

In this article, we focus on seeking the Nash equilibrium (NE) of nonaggregative games over a directed communication network. An asynchronous broadcast-based gossip algorithm is proposed, where each player broadcasts its own decision and estimates of other players' decisions to its out-neighbors. Then, the neighboring players update its respective decisions using its independent stepsize and estimates of other players' decisions by weighting its own and the received decision estimates from $(0,\,1)$. The almost surely convergence of the proposed algorithm with the diminishing stepsizes is presented by using a lemma and the property of the Kronecker product. Furthermore, the expected error bound between the NE and decisions for the proposed algorithm with constant stepsizes is presented with the increasing active probability of each player. Finally, two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and the convergence rate comparison. © 2020 IEEE.

The Bypass Dual Throat Nozzle(BDTN)is a novel fluidic Thrust Vectoring(TV)nozzle,it switches to TV state by opening the valve in the *** greatly manipulate the BDTN,the dynamic characteristics in the TV starting process should be *** paper conducts numerical simulations to grasp the variation processes of performances and the flow field evolution of BDTN and Dual Throat Nozzle(DTN).The dynamic responses of TV starting in typical DTN models are investigated at ***,the TV starting processes of BDTN in different Nozzle Pressure Ratio(NPR)conditions are simulated,and the valve opening durations(T)are also *** the expected TV direction is achieved in the DTN,the jet is deflected to the opposite direction at the beginning of the dynamic process,which is called the reverse TV ***,this phenomenon disappears in the *** larger injection width of DTN intensifies unsteady oscillations,and the reverse TV phenomenon is *** the BDTN,T determines the delay degree of performance variations compared to the static results,which is called hysteresis *** NPR=10,the hysteresis affects the final stable performance of *** study analyses the dynamic characteristics in DTN and BDTN,laying a foundation for further design of nozzles and control strategies.

Municipal solid waste(MSW)is an important destination for abandoned *** the waste disposal process,large plastic debris is broken down into microplastics(MPs)and released into the ***,current research only focuses on landfill leachates,and the occurrence of MPs in other leachates has not been ***,herein,the abundance and characteristics of MPs in three types of leachates,namely,landfill leachate,residual waste leachate,and household food waste leachate,were studied,all leachates were collected from the largest waste disposal center in *** results showed that the average MP abundances in the different types of leachates ranged from(129±54)to(1288±184)MP particles per liter(particlesL1)and the household food waste leachate exhibited the highest MP abundance(p<0.05).Polyethylene(PE)and fragments were the dominant polymer type and shape in MPs,*** characteristic polymer types of MPs in individual leachates were ***,the conditional fragmentation model indicated that the landfilling process considerably affected the size distribution of MPs in leachates,leading to a higher percentage(>80%)of small MPs(20–100 lm)in landfill leachates compared to other *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study discussing the sources of MPs in different leachates,which is important for MP pollution control during MSW disposal.

Emerging contaminants (ECs) are widely present in aquatic environments, posing potential risks to both ecosystems and human health. Theultrasound-assisted persulfate oxidation process has attracted considerable attention in the degradation of ECs due to its ability to generate bothsulfate radicals and cavitation effects, enhancing degradation effects. In this paper, the principle of ultrasonic synergistic Fenton-like oxidationsystem for degrading organic pollutants was reviewed, divided into homogeneous system, non-homogeneous system, and single-atom system toexplore the synergistic effect of ultrasound-enhanced persulfate technology in three aspects, and the effects of environmental factors such asultrasonic frequency and power, system pH, temperature, and initial oxidant concentration on the system's decontamination performance werediscussed. Finally, future research on ultrasonically activated persulfate technology is summarized and prospected.

Image-based quantitative probing of 3D heterogeneous pore structure in CBM reservoir and permeability estimation with pore network modeling

Coalbed methane(CBM)recovery is attracting global attention due to its huge reserve and low carbon burning benefits for the *** understanding the complex structure of coal and its transport properties is crucial for CBM *** study describes the implementation of mercury intrusion and μ-CT techniques for quantitative analysis of 3D pore structure in two anthracite *** shows that the porosity is 7.04%-8.47%and 10.88%-12.11%,and the pore connectivity is 0.5422-0.6852 and 0.7948-0.9186 for coal samples 1 and 2,*** fractal dimension and pore geometric tortuosity were calculated based on the data obtained from 3D pore *** results show that the pore structure of sample 2 is more complex and developed,with lower tortuosity,indicating the higher fluid deliverability of pore system in sample *** tortuosity in three-direction is significantly different,indicating that the pore structure of the studied coals has significant *** equivalent pore network model(PNM)was extracted,and the anisotropic permeability was estimated by PNM gas flow *** results show that the anisotropy of permeability is consistent with the slice surface porosity distribution in 3D pore *** permeability in the horizontal direction is much greater than that in the vertical direction,indicating that the dominant transportation channel is along the horizontal direction of the studied *** research results achieve the visualization of the 3D complex structure of coal and fully capture and quantify pore size,connectivity,curvature,permeability,and its anisotropic characteristics at micron-scale *** provides a prerequisite for the study of mass transfer behaviors and associated transport mechanisms in real pore structures.

Bioaccessibility and health risk assessment of hydrophobic organic pollutants in soils from four typical industrial contaminated sites in China

There have been reports of potential health risks for people from hydrophobic organic pollutants,such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),polychlorinated hydrocarbons(PCHs),and organophosphate flame retardants(OPFRs).When a contaminated site is used for residential housing or public utility and recreation areas,the soil-bound organic pollutantsmight pose a threat to human *** this study,we investigated the contamination profiles and potential risks to human health of 15 PAHs,6 PCHs,and 12 OPFRs in soils from four contaminated sites in *** used an in vitro method to determine the oral bioaccessibility of soil *** PAHswere found at concentrations ranging from26.4 ng/g to 987 ng/***(0.27-14.3 ng/g)and OPFRs(6.30-310 ng/g)were detected,but at low levels compared to earlier *** levels of PAHs,PCHs,and OPFRs released from contaminated soils into simulated gastrointestinal fluids ranged from 1.74%to 91.0%,2.51%to 39.6%,and 1.37%to 96.9%,*** on both spiked and unspiked samples,we found that the oral bioaccessibility of pollutantswas correlated with their logKow andmolecularweight,and the total organic carbon content and pH of *** in 13 out of 38 contaminated soil samples posed potential high risks to *** considering oral bioaccessibility,nine soils still posed potential risks,while the risks in the remaining soils became *** contribution of this paper is that it corrects the health risk of soil-bound organic pollutants by detecting bioaccessibility in actual soils from different contaminated sites.

Cadmium ion(Cd^(2+))detection technology plays a prominent role in food safety and human ***,we designed and constructed an 2-aminoethyl dihydrogen phosphate(AEP)@upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)fluorescence sensor for quantitative detection of Cd^(2+)in paddy rice based on inner filter effect(IFE)combined with enzyme inhibition *** AEP modification UCNPs can offer a stable fluorescence donor at 658 nm and be quenched by the oxidized tetramethylbenzidine(oxTMB)catalyzed by horseradish peroxidase(HRP)*** addition of Cd^(2+),the fluorescence of AEP@UCNPs fluorescence sensor was weaken due to the IFE between AEP@UCNPs and *** addition of Cd^(2+),HRP enzyme activity was inhibited by Cd^(2+),leading to the decreased oxTMB,resulting in the enhance upconversion fluorescence *** a result,the fluorescence intensity signal at 658 nm of the IFE-based AEP@UCNPs fluorescence sensor increased linearly with the increase in Cd^(2+)in a wide range from 0.5μmol/L to 6μmol/L and the limit of detection(LOD)was 24.6 n mol/*** addition,our proposed IFE-based AEP@UCNPs fluorescence sensor can achieve Cd^(2+)detection in paddy rice in 30 min.

Learning-based tracking control of AUV:Mixed policy improvement and game-based disturbance rejection

A mixed adaptive dynamic programming(ADP)scheme based on zero-sum game theory is developed to address optimal control problems of autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV)systems subject to disturbances and safe *** combining prior dynamic knowledge and actual sampled data,the proposed approach effectively mitigates the defect caused by the inaccurate dynamic model and significantly improves the training speed of the ADP ***,the dataset is enriched with sufficient reference data collected based on a nominal model without considering modelling ***,the control object interacts with the real environment and continuously gathers adequate sampled data in the *** comprehensively leverage the advantages of model-based and model-free methods during training,an adaptive tuning factor is introduced based on the dataset that possesses model-referenced information and conforms to the distribution of the real-world environment,which balances the influence of model-based control law and data-driven policy gradient on the direction of policy *** a result,the proposed approach accelerates the learning speed compared to data-driven methods,concurrently also enhancing the tracking performance in comparison to model-based control ***,the optimal control problem under disturbances is formulated as a zero-sum game,and the actor-critic-disturbance framework is introduced to approximate the optimal control input,cost function,and disturbance policy,***,the convergence property of the proposed algorithm based on the value iteration method is ***,an example of AUV path following based on the improved line-of-sight guidance is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
