A recent development in molecular imaging is in vivo fluorescence molecular imaging with near-infrared light, which has extraordinary significance in early diagnosis of the disease. This paper presents a method of recovering high dynamic range radiance maps at in vivo fluorescence molecular imaging technology. Use differently exposed photographs to recover the response curve of the imaging process, with the known curve, can fuse a single, high dynamic range radiance map whose pixel values are proportional to the true fluorescence signal values in the scene. Will contribute to quilitative and quatitative analysis, offer better observation, and get information much more accurate and true. Have great significance for analysis and diagnosis.

LMI condition of robust D stability for singular systems with polytopic uncertainties

The robust D stability analysis problem for a class of singular systems is considered in this paper. With the introduction of some free matrices, a new necessary and sufficient condition for a singular system to be D stable is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). This result is extended to the singular systems with polytopic uncertainties and a sufficient condition is obtained for the uncertain singular systems to be robust D stable using the parameter-dependent Lyapunov function method. Numerical example shows the effectiveness of the obtained approach. © 2011 ISSN 1881-803X.

This paper is concerned with the identification of multiple model process with transition using the output error (OE) method. Local multiple linear models with output error model structure are identified at fixed operating points first and then a global nonlinear model is approximated by interpolating the multiple linear models with exponential weighting functions. With all the obtained initial values of the system's parameters, nonlinear optimization strategy is implemented to find the optimal values of the parameters for both the local multiple models and their corresponding weighting functions. Finally a more accurate global model can be obtained. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through simulation examples. © 2011 Zhejiang University.

In this paper, we present an exergame called VNM (Virtual Network Marathon). The VNM employs devised treadmills for immersive virtual running in local network or on Internet, which are embedded with various sensors for collecting the body performance data and connected with computers or Set-Top Box (STB) to synchronously control the player's avatar in the virtual game environment. VNM is implemented on a novel ISCAL model (Immersion, Scientificalness, Competitiveness, Adaptability and Learning) model for exergames design, The exercise time and intensity strictly conform to the physical exercise guidelines of the ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), and a novel demonstration-based non-player modeling technique is employed to simulate the marathon race crowd. The VNM also allows players to learn the Chinese culture and the Olympic knowledge in the tour mode during or after the running exercise. The user study of VNM indicates that the proposed ISCAL model can be successfully applied in the exergame design. © 2011 IEEE.

An effective dynamic optimization solution method based on the modified orthogonal collocation (mOC) and reduced successive quadratic programming (rSQP) is proposed, where the mOC is proposed to decrease the approximation error of the discrete optimal problem while traditional OC method converts the dynamic optimization problem to a regular but discrete nonlinear programming (NLP) problem, and the rSQP method is introduced to solve the resulting NLP problem in the reduced space of the independent variables. A classic benchmark of dynamic optimization problem is explored as demonstration, where the detailed comparative researches between the literature reports and the proposed method are carried out. The research results illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

A method is proposed for performance assessment of PID control loops subject to time-varying disturbance dynamics, which is often observed in industrial processes. The proposed method optimizes overall performance of the processes and presents a PID tradeoff curve which provides a useful lower bound on the achievable performance of the PID controller in terms of both the most significant disturbance rejection and the representative disturbance rejection. One can choose an optional benchmark to assess the PID control performance according to the tradeoff curve. The developed performance assessment technique is illustrated by simulation and industrial examples.

This note discusses the problem of stabilization for a class of uncertain networked control systems(NCSs) with nonlinear perturbation. By introducing a new model of NCSs with parameter uncertainty, network-induced delay, nonlinearity and data packet dropout in the transmission, a strict linear matrix inequality (LMI) criterion is presented for robust stabilization the uncertain nonlinear NCSs based on the Lyapunov stability theory. The maximum upper bound of the allowable delay can be obtained by solving the convex optimization problem of the corresponding LMI. Numerical example is provided to demonstrate the applicability and feasibility of the proposed algorithm. © 2011 Chinese Assoc of Automati.

Carbon fibers are attractive substrates to be used for designing flexible and weavable devices. In order to obtain some flexible chemical sensors or other nanodevices, surface treatment of carbon fiber was carried out with oxidation approach. Studies on preparation of some typical metal oxide or other inorganic functional film (such as, ZnO, NiO, CdS, et al) with different morphologies under hydrothermal reaction condition were examined. A series of characterizations were employed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence spectra (PL), et al. Results indicated that the ZnO film with porosity was uniformly formed on the surface of carbon fibers, and the uniformities of other films will be improved further by adjusting synthesis conditions.
