Short message is one of the most common communication media for mobile subscribers, so major mobile operators are devoted to improve their Short Message Service (SMS). However, the annoying and undesired messages, also named message spam or simply spam, not only worsen the users' experience, but also cause their complaints on SMS. In this paper, we present a novel Chinese SMS spam filtering framework based on AdaBoost algorithm to provide accurate and effective short messages classification. Three content-based weak filters are introduced to boost the performance of final classification decision. Results from Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) analysis prove the proposed method has such advantages as higher efficiency and fewer parameters over those established SMS spam filtering methods. The application of the proposed method is expected to block the most spam for mobile subscribers and improve the service quality of SMS. With simple data processing and few training parameters, the proposed method can be applied into the practice of short text classification.

The traditional PHD tracker(PHDT) generates the newborn PHD from the prior knowledge, thus can not be applied when the prior newborn target knowledge is unavailable. To this end, we propose a historical information feedback multiple-target tracker(HIFMTT) as an improvement to the traditional PHDT. The HIFMTT generates the newborn PHD through processing the historical observation and estimating results with a feedback structure, and thus can overcome the above mentioned difficulty. For the real application, we also construct the PF-HIFMTT algorithm by embedding the particle filter into the HIFMTT framework. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the PF-HIFMTT algorithm in two different scenarios.

Social media has exploded beyond anyone's wildest imagination, and User Generated Content (UGC) is propagated online at an unparalleled level. Organizing and associating the heterogeneous UGC data in different social media networks is playing a more and more important role in comprehensive user modeling and social media applications. Since social media data are essentially user-centric, which are generated from user and customized for user, we introduce a user-centric dataset to analyze and exploit the social media heterogeneity, which involves with six popular social media networks and 180, 000 overlapped users. A pilot study on the collected dataset is conducted to demonstrate the limitations of traditional content-centric metrics in analyzing the cross-OSN data. Finally, we conclude this work with discussions on the potentials of usercentric framework for cross-OSN organization and association. © 2015 ACM.

Path planning for unmanned aerial vehicles in surveillance tasks under wind fields

The optimal path planning for fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) in multi-target surveillance tasks(MTST) in the presence of wind is *** take into account the minimal turning radius of UAVs,the Dubins model is used to approximate the dynamics of *** on the assumption,the path planning problem of UAVs in MTST can be formulated as a Dubins traveling salesman problem(DTSP).By considering its prohibitively high computational cost,the Dubins paths under terminal heading relaxation are introduced,which leads to significant reduction of the optimization scale and difficulty of the whole ***,in view of the impact of wind on UAVs' paths,the notion of virtual target is *** application of the idea successfully converts the Dubins path planning problem from an initial configuration to a target in wind into a problem of finding the minimal root of a transcendental ***,the Dubins tour is derived by using differential evolution(DE) algorithm which employs random-key encoding technique to optimize the visiting sequence of ***,the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed algorithm are demonstrated through computational *** results exhibit that the proposed algorithm can produce high quality solutions to the problem.

This study compares the degradation of diethyl phthalate (DEP) by the electro-peroxone (E-peroxone) process with three different carbon-based cathodes, namely, carbon-polytetrafluorethylene (carbon-PTFE), carbon felt, and reticulated vitreous carbon (RVC). Results show that the three cathodes had different electrocatalytic activity for converting sparged O2 to H2O2, which increased in order of carbon felt, RVC, and carbon-PTFE. The in-situ generated H2O2 then reacts with sparged O3 to yield OH, which can in turn oxidize ozone-refractory DEP toward complete mineralization. In general, satisfactory total organic carbon removal yields (76.4-91.8%) could be obtained after 60min of the E-peroxone treatment with the three carbon-based cathodes, and the highest yield was obtained with the carbon-PTFE cathode due to its highest activity for H2O2 generation. In addition, the carbon-PTFE and carbon felt cathodes exhibited excellent stability over six cycles of the E-peroxone treatment of DEP solutions. Based on the intermediates (e.g., monoethyl phthalate, phthalic acid, phenolics, and carboxylic acids) identified by HPLC-UV, plausible reaction pathways were proposed for DEP mineralization by the E-peroxone process. The results of this study indicate that carbon-based cathodes generally have good electrocatalytic activity and stability for application in extended E-peroxone operations to effectively remove phthalates from water.

Manufacturing equipment takes the task of operation and directly effects on the manufacturing process. One single key Performance Indicator （KPI） is mainly employed to evaluate equipment in most studies, neither integrating the KPIs into a completed evaluation system nor considering the impact and conflict among KPIs. In this paper, a KPI evaluation architecture is presented to define and analyze KPIs, and then a common structure for KPI to obtain the KPI set of manufacturing equipment is introduced. An available multi-KPl coordination model is proposed to discern and balance the relationship among multi-KPl. Finally, a case study is introduced to illustrate the applicability of the coordination model by using multi-objective optimization strategy and an efficient solution is obtained.

With the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment {GRACE） mission as the prime example, an overview is given on the management and processing of Level IA data of a low-low satellite to satellite tracking mission. To illustrate the underlying principle and algorithm, a detailed study is made on the K-band ranging （KBR） assembly, which includes the measurement principles, modeling of noises, the generation of Level 1A data from that of Level 0 as well as Level IA to Level IB data processing.

With increased market competition and advances in modern manufacturing technologies, requirements on customer orders and manufacturing conditions have become more diversified. This paper addresses a dynamic production planning problem for a steel plate fabrication plant with practical flexibility of both customers and manufacturing, such as steel slab-plate matching rules, plate substitution options, production line assignment. These flexibility factors can provide the decision maker with auxiliary options to satisfy customer requirements through realizable production planning. The steel slab-plate matching rules combined with plate substitution options are visualized by a networked graph and formulated by a set based design. A mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model that incorporates various manufacturing constraints and the flexibility is proposed to simultaneously optimize production strategy and provide practical managerial information such as backlogging/inventory level, capacity availability, and also steel slab demand. Linearization methods are used to transform the original MINLP problem into mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model resulting in easier and quicker solutions. A real industrial steel plate fabrication plant is used as a case and illustrates the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed method. © IFAC.

Gene Manipulation Based Selenium-containing Peptide Exhibiting Synergism of SOD and GPx

In this paper, we constructed a novel bifunctional superoxide dismutase（SOD）/glutathione peroxi- dase（GPx） mimic, a selenium-, copper-containing 35-mer peptide conjugate（Se-Cu-35P） in which a three-amino acid linker（（31y-Asn-Gly） connects the C-terminus of 17-mer polypeptide SOD mimic with the N-terminus of 15-mer po- lypeptide GPx mimic. The SOD and GPx activities of Se-Cu-35P are two orders of magnitude lower than those of natural SOD and GPx, respectively. It provides a GPx activity 56-fold higher than Ebselen（a well-known GPx mimic）. The glutathione（GSH） binding constant is 5.6× 10^2 *** 1. Se-Cu-35P synergistically resists against the inactivation by H202 and protects the mitochondria from oxidative damage in a dose dependent manner. These results highlight the challenge of generating an efficient SOD/GPx synergism mimic. It could facilitate the studies of the cooperation of GPx and SOD and could be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of ROS-mediated diseases,

A Novel Mechanism for TRF of Plant-wide Material Flows in Process Industry MES

This paper is standing on the recent viewpoint originated from relevant industrial practices that well or-ganized tracing, representing and feedback(TRF) mechanism of material-flow information is crucial for system utility and usability of manufacturing execution systems(MES), essentially, for activities on the side of multi-level decision making and optimization mainly in the planning and scheduling. In this paper, we investigate a key issue emphasized on a route of multi-level information evolution on the side of large-scale feedback, where material-flow states could evolve from the measuring data(local states) to networked event-type information cells(global states) and consequently to the key performance indicators(KPI) type information(gross states). Importantly, with adapta-bilities to frequent structural dynamics residing in running material flows, this evolving route should be modeled as a suit of sophisticated mechanism for large-scale dynamic states tracking and representing so as to upgrade accu-racy and usability of the feedback information in MES. To clarify inherent complexities of this evolving route, the investigated issue is demonstrated from extended process systems engineering(PSE) point of view, and the TRF principles of the multi-level feedback information(states) are highlighted under the multi-scale methodology. As the main contribution, a novel mechanism called TRF modeling mechanism is introduced.
