Renewable energies are growing fast and have occupied great percentage in power generation. However, one major drawback of most renewable energies is the variability due to the stochastic nature of wind speed, solar irradiation, and etc. It is important to integrate the risk of wind power's uncertainty into profitability assessments for investors. In this paper, certain effective ideas from portfolio theory in financial engineering field are exploited to deal with renewable energies as risky assets to be invested. It's a systematic way to neutralize risks as well as maximize return values. To adjust these financial tools used to solve renewable energy's problem, some other financial models and concepts are introduced. Time Series models, ARMA (autoregressive moving average), GARCH (generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity) and PSO (particle swarm optimization) algorithm are utilized to modify data to be real-time effective. Utility function is introduced to evaluate different energy resources. This paper is abundant with interdisciplinary ideas using advanced risk management methods on renewable energy issues. The proposed approach is also applied in real world problem to provide consulting evidence for power system planning and dispatching in Gansu province, northwest of China.

Agent-based evacuation modeling approach is gained more and more attention for investigating human cognitive capabilities and social behaviors in building fires. This paper mainly overviews the research about various agent-based evacuation models. For the decision-making reflects the intelligence of agent individual, we define three types of behavior decision-making models for agent individual based on the collected literatures and sum up the characteristics of each type. Aiming at crowd' important influence on evacuation processes, we also sum up two types of agent-based crowd modeling approaches to simulate crowd evacuation processes and give corresponding cases. Finally, after summing up the existing problems, the outlooks of the research from computational experiments point of view is proposed.

The design of robust H-infinity controller for uncertain discrete-time Markovianjump systems with actuator saturation is addressed in this paper. The parameter uncertainties are assumed to be norm-bounded. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions are proposed to design a set of controllers in order to satisfy the closed-loop local stability and closed-loop H-infinity performance. Using an LMI approach, a set of state feedback gains is constructed such that the set of admissible initial conditions is enlarged and formulated through solving an optimization problem. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

The main purpose of this paper is to make table tennis robots complete the hit table tennis ball action by imitating human’s behavior. The main strategy is to record a video of action which people played the table tennis, then analysis the video of the racket trajectory. The racket in the image is extracted by image processing when the each frame is captured in the video. Then three-dimensional coordinates of the center of the racket and racket posture are obtained via PnP positioning approach based on the intrinsic parameters of the camera. The table tennis robot will off-line learn to complete the imitation of basic actions of the racket trajectory and postures. A large number of experimental data is used to establish basic actions of table tennis robot.
