An efficient evaluation index system and evaluation model is crucial for effectiveness evaluation of the air defense networked fire control system. This paper, based on pre-research for functions and characteristics of the system, put forth a comprehensive evaluation index system which includes four layers of index hierarchy. Aiming at the characters of some indexes, several evaluation methods are adopted for giving their corresponding evaluation results. Under the condition of networking, the key effect of information stream for exerting system effectiveness is highlighted in this paper. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is employed to establish effectiveness evaluation model for the system. Moreover, to identify the validity of the proposed methods and model, a case study is discussed. The evaluation case shows that the model of effectiveness evaluation is feasible, and capable to carry out objective and reasonable effectiveness evaluation for the system. © 2011 Chinese Assoc of Automati.

A new 3-DOF pose precision measurement system based on linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) is developed, built and tested. The system is mainly composed of four LVDTs of symmetrical distribution, which is used to detect the pose relations between a spherical mirror and a resonantor in an optical assembly process. Motion pose of the spherical mirror controlled by an optical assembly robot is formulated according to their geometrical relationship. A LVDT processing circuit using integrated signal conditioning chip AD598 is designed as the control system of pose measurement. Calibration experiments illustrate that the LVDT possesses well static and dynamic characteristics. A PID algorithm is used to improve the adjusting efficiency. Experimental results show that the pose measurement system with maximum angle error of 10" and maximum distance error of 0.5 μm can complete pose adjustment between the spherical mirror and the resonator in 25 seconds, which demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for pose measurement. Differential Evolution (DE) is a simple and efficient numerical optimization method. Most DE variants in the literature adopt fixed population size. This paper incorporates into DE the mechanisms of lifetime and extinction which regulate DE's population size in an adaptive manner. The population size is adjusted according to the online progress of fitness improvement. Two schemes of inserting new individuals are proposed to match different mechanisms respectively. The performance of these innovations is examined through the optimization of benchmark problems. The results show that the proposed adaptive population sizing strategy is efficient for improving the convergence and efficiency of the DE. © 2011 Asian Control Association.

This paper investigates the problem of designing fuzzy H∞ filter for a class of nonlinear singularly perturbed systems (SPSs) with time-varying delay in states. The considered system is approximated by a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. By using linear matrix inequality (LMI) methods, we give a -independent sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy H∞ filter such that, the resulting filtering error system is globally stable with guaranteed H∞ performance for sufficiently small . The gains of filter are obtained by solving a set of -independent LMIs, and therefore the ill-conditioned problem caused by can be easily avoid. The proposed method can be applied to both standard and nonstandard nonlinear SPSs. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed method. © 2011 IEEE.

Recently a graphic model method has been developed to reconstruct an image from a bag of square, non-overlapping patches. Markov Random Field (MRF) is used to model this type of jigsaw puzzle problem. In this model, each node represents a spatial position where patches are placed. Belief Propagation (BP) algorithm is used to solve the model. BP naturally fulfills the fact that each node should be assigned a patch with probability one. However, the fact that all patches should be equally used in the reconstructed image with probability one is neglected. As a result, there is little chance for some patches to be used in the reconstructed image. In this paper, we propose a Co-Normalization method to encourage equal treatment toward patches and nodes. Our method naturally yields a new update formula for the exclusivity term introduced by previous work. This term requires each patch to be used only once in the reconstructed image. Experiments show that our method preserves exclusivity term's requirement and adds a new requirement of equal usage of patches. Image reconstruction results show that our method solves the jigsaw puzzle problem much better.

Cognitive Radio is the most effective technology to deal with the contradiction between limitedspectrum radio resources and rapid growth of the traffic of wireless communications, and has been a hot *** spectrum sensing is a key scheme in the field of spectrum sensing, however, the effect will belargely degraded because of malicious SUs and malfunctioning SUs in cognitive radio network. Several me-thods proposed to mitigate the effects of malicious SUs on CSS, like Parameter Estimate, Weighted SequentialProbability Ratio Test and Outlier are shown to be effective. However, the disadvantage of methods proposedis high time complexity and relaying on the fusion center excessively. Considering the method of spectrum clustering,a new perspective proposed can separate malicious SUs from trusted ones under two mathematical models ofmalicious SUs：static unchanging behavior and dynamic changing behavior. Simulation results show spectrumclustering works well on the issue.

The image patches learned by recent works are usually only bar-like or Gabor-like patterns. However those simple patterns are not meaningful enough to capture higher level information. In this study, we try to learn more complex image patterns from unaligned images. We propose Scale And Shift Invariant Sparse Coding (SASISC), which aligns basis patches at proper locations and scales to reconstruct the whole image. The experiment results on unaligned images show that SASISC can explain the images much better than the original sparse coding, and can extract more complex image patterns.

In our previous work, we proposed a novel method Virtual Slope Walking(VSW) for biped locomotion. Mechanical energy is restored by actively extending stance leg in this method. VSW has two kinds of implementations, termed self-excited mode and parametric excited mode, respectively. In self-excited mode, stance leg extension is controlled according to its angle, but the measure of leg's angle is difficult in practical implementation; while in parametric excited mode stance leg extension is controlled according to time. In this paper, we investigate a method for VSW using parametric excited mode named Time Zero Reset method, which controlling stance leg extension with relative time, time zero is reset at each heelstrike. The method generates stable period-1 and multi-period walking cycles which not seen in VSW before. The results of stability analysis show the method has strong tolerance to disturbances. Compared to previous parametric excited mode with open-loop control, it has wider speed range and is more robust to disturbances with low cost as only touchdown sensors are needed.

Word burstiness phenomenon, which means that if a word occurs once in a document it is likely to occur repeatedly, has interested the text analysis field recently. Dirichlet Compound Multinomial Latent Dirichlet Allocation (DCMLDA) introduces this word burstiness mechanism into Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). However, in DCMLDA, there is no restriction on the word burstiness intensity of each topic. Consequently, as shown in this paper, the burstiness intensities of words in major topics will become extremely low and the topics' ability to represent different semantic meanings will be impaired. In order to get topics that represent semantic meanings of documents well, we introduce constraints on topics' word burstiness intensities. Experiments demonstrate that DCMLDA with constrained word burstiness intensities achieves better performance than the original one without constraints. Besides, these additional constraints help to reveal the relationship between two key properties inherited from DCM and LDA respectively. These two properties have a great influence on the combined model's performance and their relationship revealed by this paper is an important guidance for further study of topic models.

A novel thickness measurement method for surface insulation coating of silicon steel based on NIR spectrometry is *** NIR spectra of insulation coating of silicon steel were collected by acousto-optic tunable filter(AOTF) NIR *** make full use of the effective information of NIR spectral data,discrete binary particle swarm optimization(DBPSO) algorithm was used to select the optimal wavelength *** new spectral data,composed of absorbance at selected wavelengths,were used to create the thickness quantitative analysis model by kernel partial least squares(KPLS) algorithm coupled with *** results of contrast experiments showed that the Boosting-KPLS model could efficiently improve the analysis accuracy and *** indicates that Boosting-KPLS is a more accurate and robust analysis method than KPLS for NIR spectral *** maximal and minimal absolute error of 30 testing samples is respectively-0.02 μm and 0.19 μm,and the maximal relative error is 14.23%.These analysis results completely meet the practical measurement need.
