Efficient translation mediated by the 5'untranslated region(5'UTR)is essential for the robust efficacy of mRNA ***,the N1-methyl-pseudouridine(m1)modification of mRNA can impact the translation efficiency of the 5'*** discovered that the optimal 5'UTR for m1y-modified mRNA(m1y-5'UTR)differs significantly from its unmodified counterpart,high-lighting the need for a specialized tool for designing mly-5'UTRs rather than directly utilizing high-expression endogenous gene 5'*** response,we developed a novel machine learning-based tool,Smart5UTR,which employs a deep generative model to identify superior m1y-5'UTRs in *** tailored loss function and network architecture enable Smart5UTR to overcome limitations inherent in existing *** a result,Smart5UTR can successfully design superior 5'UTRs,greatly benefiting mRNA vaccine ***,Smart5UTR-designed superior 5'UTRs significantly enhanced antibody titers induced by COVID-19 mRNA vaccines against the Delta and Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2,surpassing the performance of vaccines using high-expression endogenous gene 5'UTRs.

Predicting the future trajectory of multi-agent in dynamic scenarios is a crucial part of autonomous driving. Despite fruitful progress, existing methods still suffer from immatu-rity in tackling social interaction modeling, which is essential for trajectory prediction. A key reason is that the previous works only consider the interaction of a single category of agents while ignoring the influence between different types of agents. This paper contends a novel framework LG-LSTM to model local and global social interactions between different types of agents by scenario graph and attention fusion. It is mainly composed of two functional components: 1. LSTM-based interaction architecture consists of LSTM-based en-coding function, graph-aware encoding function, attention-fusion encoding function, and LSTM-based decoding function. 2. Multi-task training, which conducts trajectory pre-diction and multi-agent classification. Extensive experiments on two public autonomous driving benchmarks verify the ef-ficacy of the proposed techniques and achieve superior per-formance against state-of-the-art approaches. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents Universal Vision-Language Dense Retrieval (UniVL-DR), which builds a unified model for multi-modal retrieval. UniVL-DR encodes queries and multi-modality resources in an embedding space for searching candidates from different modalities. To learn a unified embedding space for multi-modal retrieval, UniVL-DR proposes two techniques: 1) Universal embedding optimization strategy, which contrastively optimizes the embedding space using the modality-balanced hard negatives;2) Image verbalization method, which bridges the modality gap between images and texts in the raw data space. UniVL-DR achieves the state-of-the-art on the multi-modal open-domain question answering benchmark, WebQA, and outperforms all retrieval models on the two subtasks, text-text retrieval and text-image retrieval. It demonstrates that universal multi-modal search is feasible to replace the divide-and-conquer pipeline with a united model and also benefits single/cross modality tasks. Helical anchor is a kind of novel foundation for floating offshore wind turbines,which should be subjected to combined tensile loading caused by wind,wave and ***,the research about the capacity of helical anchor was mainly examined under uniaxial loading and scarcely explored under combined *** this study,three-dimensional finite element limit analysis is adopted to assess the bearing capacities of single-plate rigid helical anchors with different ratios of helix to shaft diameter,D_(H)/D_(S) and embedment ratios L/D_(S).Result shows that the vertical,horizontal and moment bearing capacities increase with increasing D_(H)/D_(S) and L/D_(S).The normalized V-H failure envelopes expands with increasing L/D_(S),while the normalized V-M failure envelopes tend to contract with the increase of D_(H)/D_(S).With increasing D_(H)/D_(S) or decreasing L/D_(S),the normalized H-M failure envelopes expand when the horizontal and moment loading act in the same direction and contract when they act in the opposite *** effect of D_(H)/D_(S) and L/D_(S) on the shape of H-M failure envelope become insignificant when L/D_(S)≥4.A series of failure mechanisms under different loading conditions were observed and can be used to explain the ***,a series of approximate expressions were proposed to fit the uniaxial bearing capacities and the failure envelopes.

Image inpainting based on deep learning has been greatly *** original purpose of image inpainting was to repair some broken photos, suchas inpainting artifacts. However, it may also be used for malicious operations,such as destroying evidence. Therefore, detection and localization of imageinpainting operations are essential. Recent research shows that high-pass filteringfull convolutional network (HPFCN) is applied to image inpainting detection andachieves good results. However, those methods did not consider the spatial location and channel information of the feature map. To solve these shortcomings, weintroduce the squeezed excitation blocks (SE) and propose a high-pass filter attention full convolutional network (HPACN). In feature extraction, we apply concurrent spatial and channel attention (scSE) to enhance feature extraction and obtainmore information. Channel attention (cSE) is introduced in upsampling toenhance detection and localization. The experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve improvement on ImageNet.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has profoundly changed and will continue to change our lives. AI is being applied in more and more fields and scenarios such as autonomous driving, medical care, media, finance, industrial robots, and internet services. The widespread application of AI and its deep integration with the economy and society have improved efficiency and produced benefits. At the same time, it will inevitably impact the existing social order and raise ethical concerns. Ethical issues, such as privacy leakage, discrimination, unemployment, and security risks, brought about by AI systems have caused great trouble to people. Therefore, AI ethics, which is a field related to the study of ethical issues in AI, has become not only an important research topic in academia, but also an important topic of common concern for individuals, organizations, countries, and society. This article will give a comprehensive overview of this field by summarizing and analyzing the ethical risks and issues raised by AI, ethical guidelines and principles issued by different organizations, approaches for addressing ethical issues in AI, and methods for evaluating the ethics of AI. Additionally, challenges in implementing ethics in AI and some future perspectives are pointed out. We hope our work will provide a systematic and comprehensive overview of AI ethics for researchers and practitioners in this field, especially the beginners of this research discipline. © 2020 IEEE.

Plant diseases have become a challenging threat in the agricultural *** learning approaches for plant disease detection and classification have been adopted to detect and diagnose these diseases ***,deep learning entails extensive data for training,and it may be challenging to collect plant *** though plant datasets can be collected,they may be uneven in *** a result,the problem of classification model overfitting *** study targets this issue and proposes an auxiliary classifier GAN(small-ACGAN)model based on a small number of datasets to extend the available ***,after comparing various attention mechanisms,this paper chose to add the lightweight Coordinate Attention(CA)to the generator module of Auxiliary Classifier GANs(ACGAN)to improve the image ***,a gradient penalty mechanism was added to the loss function to improve the training stability of the *** show that the proposed method can best improve the recognition accuracy of the classifier with the doubled *** AlexNet,the accuracy was increased by 11.2%.In addition,small-ACGAN outperformed the other three GANs used in the ***,the experimental accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 scores of the five convolutional neural network(CNN)classifiers on the enhanced dataset improved by an average of 3.74%,3.48%,3.74%,and 3.80%compared to the original ***,the accuracy of MobileNetV3 reached 97.9%,which fully demonstrated the feasibility of this *** general experimental results indicate that the method proposed in this paper provides a new dataset expansion method for effectively improving the identification accuracy and can play an essential role in expanding the dataset of the sparse number of plant diseases.

In the field of automated language processing, distinguishing between Moroccan Arabic (Darija) in multilingual contexts is a major challenge. This study addresses this challenge by exploiting feature selection techniques to improve the accuracy of tongue detection. Using a comprehensive methodology integrating various feature selection methods, including TF-idf, CBOW, Word2Vec for feature extraction, LASSO regression, decision trees for machine learning techniques, and statistical feature selection such as ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and Mutual information, alongside semantic techniques by developing our semantic encoders adapted to Arabic data, we strive to uncover the most important, relevant language features while attenuating the noise. As a result, we have obtained robust results by applying the famous XGBOOST, with conventional extraction methods and SVD as a dimensional reduction method with a very reasonable execution time. Our experimental results highlight the effectiveness of feature selection techniques to reinforce supervised learning tasks. This research not only advances the field of natural language processing but also highlights the central role of feature selection in deciphering complex linguistic landscapes. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Using a room-temperature dip-coating technique, we propose a cinnamate-unit-phosphonic-acid-based surface tantalignment material that can be orientated by linear polarized light. Using the technique, we can treat a substrate simply and quickly, achieving a uniform pretilt angle of approximately 86° with a low dose of polarized UV light. We examined the optical and electrical properties of the alignment material under different conditions, including pretilt angles under different irradiation doses, voltage holding ratio (VHR) and residual direct circuit (RDC) when using different solvents, stability, etc. The results show that the material has acceptable performance. Since the phosphonic acid series photosensitive materials still have much room for optimization, we believe it is a potential new generation of photosensitive surfactant alignment materials. © 2024, John Wiley and Sons Inc.
