This study presents a breakthrough in flexible strain sensor technology with the development of an ultrahigh sensitivity and wide-range sensor,addressing the critical challenge of reconciling sensitivity with measurement *** by the structure of bamboo slips,we introduce a novel approach that utilises liquid metal to modulate the electrical pathways within a cracked platinum fabric *** resulting sensor demonstrates a gauge factor greater than 108 and a strain measurement capability exceeding 100%.The integration of patterned liquid metal enables customisable tuning of the sensor’s response,while the porous fabric structure ensures superior comfort and air permeability for the *** design not only optimises the sensor’s performance but also enhances the electrical stability that is essential for practical *** systematic investigation,we reveal the intrinsic mechanisms governing the sensor’s response,offering valuable insights for the design of wearable strain *** sensor’s exceptional performance across a spectrum of applications,from micro-strain to large-strain detection,highlights its potential for a wide range of real-world uses,demonstrating a significant advancement in the field of flexible electronics.

Adaptive neural network control of a 2-DOF helicopter system considering input constraints and global prescribed performance

In this study, an adaptive neural network(NN) control is proposed for nonlinear two-degree-offreedom(2-DOF) helicopter systems considering the input constraints and global prescribed ***, radial basis function NN(RBFNN) is employed to estimate the unknown dynamics of the helicopter system. Second, a smooth nonaffine function is exploited to approximate and address nonlinear constraint functions. Subsequently, a new prescribed function is proposed, and an original constrained error is transformed into an equivalent unconstrained error using the error transformation and barrier function transformation methods. The analysis of the established Lyapunov function proves that the controlled system is globally uniformly bounded. Finally, the simulation and experimental results on a constructed Quanser's test platform verify the rationality and feasibility of the proposed control.

Language-image pre-training is an effective technique for learning powerful representations in general domains. However, when directly turning to person representation learning, these general pre-training methods suffer from unsatisfactory performance. The reason is that they neglect critical person-related characteristics, i.e., fine-grained attributes and identities. To address this issue, we propose a novel language-image pre-training framework for person representation learning, termed PLIP. Specifically, we elaborately design three pretext tasks: 1) Text-guided Image Colorization, aims to establish the correspondence between the person-related image regions and the fine-grained color-part textual phrases. 2) Image-guided Attributes Prediction, aims to mine fine-grained attribute information of the person body in the image;and 3) Identity-based Vision-Language Contrast, aims to correlate the cross-modal representations at the identity level rather than the instance level. Moreover, to implement our pre-train framework, we construct a large-scale person dataset with image-text pairs named SYNTH-PEDES by automatically generating textual annotations. We pre-train PLIP on SYNTH-PEDES and evaluate our models by spanning downstream person-centric tasks. PLIP not only significantly improves existing methods on all these tasks, but also shows great ability in the zero-shot and domain generalization settings. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. Although the performance of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has been dramatically increased in recent years,stability is still the main obstacle preventing the PSCs from being *** device instability can be caused by a variety of reasons,including ions diffusion,surface and grain boundary defects,*** this work,the cross-linkable tannic acid(TA)is introduced to modify perovskite film through post-treatment *** numerous organic functional groups(–OH and C=O)in TA can interact with the uncoordinated Pb^(2+)and I^(-)ions in perovskite,thus passivating defects and inhibiting ions *** addition,the formed TA network can absorb a small amount of the residual moisture inside the device to protect the perovskite ***,TA modification regulates the energy level of perovskite,and reduces interfacial charge ***,following TA treatment,the device efficiency is increased significantly from 21.31%to 23.11%,with a decreased hysteresis ***,the treated device shows excellent air,thermal,and operational *** light of this,the readily available,inexpensive TA has the potential to operate as a multipurpose interfacial modifier to increase device efficiency while also enhancing device stability.

Most of the images on the Internet are color images, and steganalysis of color images is a very critical issue in the field of steganalysis. The current proposed color image steganalysis features mainly rely on manual design, and the steganalysis features do not fully consider the internal connections between the three channels of color images. Most steganalyzers based on deep learning are also designed for grayscale images. In recent years, the continuous introduction of advanced steganography techniques for color images has also brought more severe challenges to the steganography analysis of color images. Quaternions are a tool that can effectively represent color images, and utilizing quaternion transformations can fully exploit the correlation between color image channels. Combining quaternion theory with convolutional neural networks, this paper proposed a color image steganalysis algorithm based on quaternion convolutional neural networks. Firstly, the image is represented by quaternion, and then input into the quaternion convolutional neural network. The convolution kernel in the network is composed of quaternions, and then perform convolution and pooling. Contrastive learning has been widely applied in sequential recommendation to improve the recommendation performance. Existing contrastive learning methods focus on adjusting the views number of positive and negative samples to enhance the item representation via data-level augmentation(e.g., MMInfoRec). However, they generally ignore the sampled items still follow a long-tail distribution, i.e., a few popular items have a high-frequency occurrence in contrastive learning, while the majority of unpopular items have a low-frequency in contrastive learning. As a result, this imbalance in sample extraction leads to insufficient contrastive learning between popular and unpopular items, resulting in sub-optimal item representation. In this paper, we propose CA4Rec, a Contrastive learning based item representation with Asymmetric augmentation for Sequential Recommendation, that adopts an asymmetric augmented multi-instance contrastive learning strategy to enhance the item representation. Specifically, we first use the popularity-aware method to divide the entire item set into popular and unpopular items, then we generate k augmented views for popular items, and k + n augmented views for unpopular items. Finally, we use our proposed asymmetric multi-instance noise contrastive estimation (AMINCE) to perform contrastive learning calculation. Make sure there is sufficient contrast between popular and unpopular items to mitigate the issue. we implement the improvements on the state-of-the-art model and conduct extensive experiments on three benchmark datasets. The experimental results demonstrate that CA4Rec outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines. © 2023 Owner/Author.

The widespread use of image tables presents significant accessibility challenges for blind and low vision (BLV) people, limiting their access to critical data. Despite advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) for interpreting image tables, current solutions often fail to consider the specific needs of BLV users, leading to a poor user experience. To address these issues, we introduce TableNarrator, an innovative system designed to enhance the accessibility of image tables. Informed by accessibility standards and user feedback, TableNarrator leverages AI to generate alternative text tailored to the cognitive and reading preferences of BLV users. It streamlines access through a simple interaction mode and offers personalized options. Our evaluations, from both technical and user perspectives, demonstrate that TableNarrator not only provides accurate and comprehensive table information but also significantly enhances the user experience for BLV people. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
