Complex and distributed AIoT applications usually involve multiple interconnected heterogeneous devices, leading to requirements of modeling device states and interaction diagrams. It is found that actor model is well-suited for distributed IoT contexts due to its inherent distributive nature and concurrency safety, but existing works lack runtime scalability and support for asynchronous task execution. In this paper, we propose Actor of Things, an approach to transform AIoT applications into efficient and resilient actor systems. We first transform synchronous function calls into Actor Task Graph which decouples nodes with real actors and executes asynchronously. The graph is then executed by Actor Runtime which deploys and schedules actors on IoT devices committed to lowest latency. Preliminary evaluations of our implementation demonstrate the advantages of proposed method in building distributed AIoT applications.

Dissociative adsorption of HCl on Au(111)has become one of unsolved puzzles in surface *** tremendous efforts in the past years,varioustheoretical models still greatly overestimate the zero-coverage initial sticking probabilities(So).To find the origin of the large experiment-theory discrepancy,we have revisited the dissociative adsorption of HCl on Au(111)with a newly designed molecular beam-surface *** zero-coverage So derived from Cl-coverage measurements with varying HCl doses agree well with previous ***,we notice a sharp change of the coverage/dose slope with the HCl dosage at the low coverage regime,which may result in some uncertainties to the fitted So *** seems consistent with a coverage-dependence of the dissociation barrier predicted by density functional theory at low *** results reveal the potential inconsistency of utilizing simulations with finite coverage to compare against experimental data with zero coverage in this system,and provide guidance for improving both experiment and theory in this regard.

Tissue P systems are a class of distributed and parallel computing models inspired from inter-cellular communication and cooperation between cells. In this work, a variant of tissue P system, named tissue P system with look-ahead mode, is discussed for decreasing the inherent non-determinism of tissue P systems and helping implementing tissue P systems on computers.
