Calibration of a functional structural plant model is a challenging task because of the complexity of model structure. Parameter estimation through gradient-based optimization technique was highly dependent on initial parameter values. This motivated the use of global sensitivity analysis technique to choose parameter subset in fitting the data sequence. Global sensitivity indices were computed using the source sink ratio as the output of interest, which regulates all organ growth. By fitting on chrysanthemum data from nine sampling dates, it is shown that sensitivity analysts method helps to identify the influential parameters for a given sampling date. As a result, fitting process is less dependent on the initial parameter values. Current work provides a new method of calibrating a plant growth model with multiple outputs.

Internet as the fertile ground of free speech, everyone can express their emotions, cognition and views of things via the internet, especially in the era of Web2.0, the occurrence of blog which provides a wider space for personal speech. Internet provides a broad platform for contemporary college students to express thought and emotion, at the same time it provides a channel for education workers to understand students' thought and mental. Through real-time monitoring information on school area network, we can get real-time status, mood and some dynamic data which can portray characteristics of emotion of the concerned entity; also we can abstract the characterization of psychological crisis information, and use this feature to do data mining on these data. In this way we can find group of students which have tendency of psychological CriSIS, and use corresponding psychological crisis intervention online and offline methods to ease students' psychological crisis and to prevent tragic events in timely.

This note generalizes the stability analysis for a high frequency networked control system. The high-frequency networked control system is described by a delta operator system with a high frequency constraint. Stability conditions are given for the high frequency delta operator system. Furthermore, by developing the generalized Kalman-Yakubovic-Popov lemma, improved stability conditions are also presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Some experiment results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed techniques.

This paper is concerned with the problem of stability of systems with time-varying delay in a given interval. A novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is proposed to obtain new stability conditions. Some triple integral terms are introduced in the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and the information on the lower bound on the delay are sufficiently used. New delay-dependent stability criteria are derived using integral inequalities and formulated in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). Comparing numerical examples show that the proposed criteria yield a larger upper bound on the delay for a given lower bound on the delay than existing results.

To better handle the problem on robust stability for neutral controlsystems, in which time-varying delay was involved, a stability criterion with less conservatism was put forward. Firstly, a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional was constructed based on the uncertain neutral control system model. The generalized convex combination and integral inequality techniques were altogether employed, which can help to estimate the derivative of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and effectively extend the application area of the results. Secondly, by taking the lower and upper bounds of time-delays and their derivatives, a criterion on asymptotical and robust stability were presented in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI), which can be easily checked by resorting to LMI in Matlab Toolbox. Finally, through one numerical example the criterion was compared with relative ones. The smaller delay upper bound was obtained by the criteria, which demonstrates that our stability criterion can reduce the conservatism more efficiently than those earlier ones.
