Heat dissipation is extremely important for electronic component such as CPU or GPU of the computer. Now most researchers only design optimal heat sink for CPU for better heat dissipation, while few of them consider waste heat recycling of CPU. The CPU can be used as the heat source, while the original system has fan and heat sink as the cooling system. Thus, the original CPU working condition is very suitable for thermoelectric power generation and will bring great benefit to system itself. However, adding thermoelectric generator will increase the temperature of CPU, which will decrease the performance of the computer. It is necessary to reduce the hot side temperature while generating energy as much as possible. To achieve this, this paper designed a kind of intelligent waste heat generation system based on thermoelectric power generator. Three different shape heat sinks are designed, contrasted, and tested. By building experimental platform and establishing simulation model, the power of thermoelectric power generation and temperature change of the three heat sink structures are compared. The fin shaped heat sink is considered has the best output performance while keeping the hot side temperature within the acceptance range. The maximum output power is 10.67mW, and the maximum hot side temperature is 72°C during the experiment.

Innate immunity plays critical antiviral roles. The highly virulent avian influenza viruses (AIVs) H5N1, H7N9, and H5N6 can betterescape host innate immune responses than the less virulent seasonal H1N1 virus. Here, we report a mechanism by whichtranscriptional readthrough (TRT)-mediated suppression of innate immunity occurs post AIV infection. By using cell lines, mouselungs, and patient PBMCs, we showed that genes on the complementary strand (“trans” genes) influenced by TRT were involved inthe disruption of host antiviral responses during AIV infection. The trans-TRT enhanced viral lethality, and TRT abolishmentincreased cell viability and STAT1/2 expression. The viral NS1 protein directly bound to SSU72, and degradation of SSU72 inducedTRT. SSU72 overexpression reduced TRT and alleviated mouse lung injury. Our results suggest that AIVs infection induce TRT byreducing SSU72 expression, thereby impairing host immune responses, a molecular mechanism acting through the NS1-SSU72-trans-TRT-STAT1/2 axis. Thus, restoration of SSU72 expression might be a potential strategy for preventing AIV pandemics.

Scheduling with stochastic processing times is a kind of dynamic scheduling in production systems. The current scheduling optimization problem is formulated in the scheduling domain, which ignores the underlying synergies for optimization objectives between scheduling and control. To address this problem, we propose and formulate the problem of the co-optimization of scheduling and control with stochastic processing times (COSC-SPT) with a system respective view. To solve the COSC-SPT, we model the decision-making process as a Markov decision process and propose an actor-based learning framework to facilitate problem solving. To verify the feasibility of the proposed framework and the effectiveness of the formulated COSC-SPT, a real reducer assembly system is taken as a use case. The results of experiments demonstrate that the COSC-SPT provides better solutions than conventional scheduling problems. keywords: Actor, cyber-physical production systems, optimization, scheduling, stochastic processing time. © 2023, The Authors. Modern industrial devices often use multiple sensors to detect the status of system,which produce a large amount of multivariate time *** to the complex temporal dependency of intra-channel and inter-correlations among different channels,few of proposed algorithms have addressed these challenges for anomaly detection in multivariate time ***,previous work does not consider future dependency,which has been shown to be critical for sequential data *** this paper,we develop an unsupervised anomaly detection algorithm TransAnomaly,which integrates Transformer,variational autoencoder(VAE) and nonlinear state space *** not only reduces the computational complexity and allows for more parallelization but also provides explainable *** the best of our knowledge,it is the first model that combines VAE and Transformer for multivariate time series anomaly *** experiments on several public real-world datasets show that TransAnomaly outperforms state-of-the-art baseline methods while training cost is reduced by nearly 80%.

This paper focuses on the turning maneuverability of a bionic gliding robotic dolphin. Inspired by natural dolphin’s turning styles, a novel gliding robotic dolphin with a special yaw joint is developed to purse high turning maneuverability. Thus, the robot can realize several turning patterns based on its flippers, yaw joint and dolphin-like dorsal-abdominal undulating mechanism. Considering both dolphin-like mode and gliding mode, a dynamic model is constructed to further analyze the turning performance through adopting the Newton-Euler method. Thereafter, five turning patterns are selected to explore how the special mechanism as well as some key parameters affect the turning performance of the robotic dolphin. The simulation results reveal that every pattern can successfully and effectively realize turning motions, furthermore, appropriate turning pattern as well as control parameters can contribute to high maneuverability, i.e., small turning radius and high turning velocity, which provides valuable guidance for future control and application of the bionic gliding robotic dolphin.

Linear motor has promising application prospects because of its direct motion and thrust output. Linear oscillating motor, whose mover is inserted with a high stiffness spring, can provide high frequency reciprocating motion with high working efficiency. Former research indicates that combination strategy of feedforward control and feedback control has unique advantages on close loop control of high stiffness system. control law of model predictive consists of feedforward and feedback to cope with the high stiffness control system with limited sample time. In this paper, model predictive control (MPC) is introduced to linear oscillating motor (LOM) based state observer. According to the law of MPC, stability analysis is proved and simulation results show that MPC can provide excellent dynamic performance with high control accuracy for LOM. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) have achieved great performance in many visual tasks. However, CNN models are sensitive to samples with large spatial variants, especially severe in fine-grained classification task. In this paper, we propose a novel CNN model called ST-BCNN to solve these problems. ST-BCNN contains two functional CNN modules: Spatial Transform Network (STN) and Bilinear CNN(BCNN). Firstly, STN module is used to select key region in input samples and get it spatially modified. Since the adoption of STN will cause an information loss phenomenon called boundary loss, we design a brand-new IOU loss method to solve it. We make a theoretical analysis of the IOU loss method. Secondly, to discover discriminative features for fine-grained classification task, BCNN module is applied. BCNN interacts CNN features from different channels to produce more discriminative bilinear features than fully connected features of CNN. ST-BCNN works by reducing irrelevant spatial states and producing fine-grained features. We evaluate our model on 3 public fine-grained classification datasets with large spatial variants: CUB200-2011, Fish100 and UAV43. Experiments show that the IOU loss method can reduce boundary loss and make STN module output spatial transformed image appropriately. Our proposed ST-BCNN model outperforms other advanced CNN models on all three datasets. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In recent years, micromanipulation technology has achieved extensive applications in industry and life science. Improving the precision and bandwidth of the micromanipulator and simultaneously reducing size, weight, and cost pose significant challenges to the existing micromanipulator design and fabrication methods. Here, we propose a 3-RRS micromanipulator with an origami-inspired spherical joint based on the PC-MEMS process, aiming for miniaturization and cost-effectiveness. The spherical joint allows rotations of 140° around the x-axis approximately, 140° around the y-axis approximately, and 20° around the z-axis approximately. The micromanipulator has weights of 0.8 g, dimensions of 16 mm × 16 mm × 22 mm, and workspace of 0.7 mm 3 . The end platform of the micromanipulator can be equipped with various effectors to accomplish different kinds of tasks. Experimental results validated its high precision and bandwidth, exhibiting its potential to perform intricate micromanipulation tasks.

Current imaging of the artery relies primarily on computed tomography angiography (CTA), which requires contrast injections and exposure to radiation. In this paper, we present a method for fully autonomous artery 3D image acquisition using a linear ultrasound (US) probe and a 6 DoFs robot arm with a 3D camera. Robotic vessel acquisition can minimize tissue deformation and permit the reproduction of scans. Additionally, the robotic-based acquisition can provide more precise vessel position data that can be utilized for 3D reconstruction as a preoperative image. The first scanning point is determined by the 3D camera using a neural network for leg area estimation. A visual servo algorithm adjusts the in-plane motions using a cross-sectional vessel segmentation produced by a neural network with a UNet structure, while a US confidence map regulates the in-plane rotation. The robot is equipped with impedance control to maintain a constant and safe scan. Experiments on a leg phantom and a volunteer indicate that the robot can follow the vessel and modify its position to provide a sharper US image. The average error of phantom scanning in y-axis and z-axis are 0.2536mm and 0.2928mm, respectively, while the root means square error (RMSE) of contact force in the volunteer experiment is 0.2664N. In addition, a 3D vessel reconstruction demonstrates the possibility of robotic US acquisition as a preoperative image.
