To address the pain points in the digital transformation of the home appliance industry, Haier Group has established an industrial Internet platform for the home appliance industry based on cloud-edge collaboration. Through built-in modules on the platform, intelligent allocation of cloud-edge resources and task optimization scheduling can be achieved. This module consists of three parts: task response reception and processing submodule, task deployment submodule, and task scheduling algorithm library submodule. It can efficiently manage cloud-edge computing resources at three levels: unified scheduling of large-scale tasks, collaborative deployment of heterogeneous computing, and real-time reconstruction of edge tasks, meeting the real-time demands of heterogeneous computing, task deployment, and collaborative optimization. Currently, this platform has been implemented in Haier's home appliance factories, providing valuable insights and references for the digitalization and intelligent transformation of home appliance enterprises. © 2024 SPIE.

In the current smart warehouse system, AGVs need to complete goods transport tasks efficiently, requiring curve-less and conflict-free path planning in multi-AGV case to improve efficiency of the whole system. To solve above problems, based on an improved A star algorithm to generate initial paths, this paper adds an extra turning cost on paths to reduce curves. Then two kinds of timewindow detection are proposed to check if collision happens between AGVs. To avoid collision, we develop three path replanning methods to search more feasible paths efficiently according to task priority principal. The simulation experiments indicate that improved A star algorithm has an advantage in reducing curves in paths, and the timewindow-based method is capable of multi-AGV cases, realizing conflict-free path planning. © 2024 IEEE.

Prognostics and health management (PHM) aims to reduce sudden failures during system operation, thereby improving system performance and protecting personal safety from harmful condition. Nonetheless, implementation of PHM still faces many difficulties related to security, privacy, and trustiness issues. Blockchain, an emerging technology, has great potential to resolve these problems. Adopting blockchain in PHM is a challenging task and a comprehensive analysis is required before jumping into innovation. However, scientific surveys pertaining to the topic are still scarce. In this article, a systematical exploration of the potential and influence factor of blockchain adoption in PHM is presented. combined technology adoption theory (TAT) is proposed as theoretical foundation for identifying influence factors of blockchain adoption in PHM. Twenty-one factors at both individual-level and firm-level are captured. Thirdly, a dual-ideal distance based spherical fuzzy DEMATEL is introduced to evaluate the interrelationships and importance of the influence factors with considering vagueness and hesitancy of experts’ judgements. Aiming to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness, a case study and several comparative analyses are performed finally. © 2024 IEEE.

Customer products have become increasingly driven by mass personalization as industries are shifting to knowledge-driven user-centric design approaches such as Smart Product-Service systems (Smart PSS) to better meet expectations and remain competitive. However current user-centric design methods lack a semantic framework that properly models the components of a Smart PSS, leading to a lack in the usefulness of the knowledge generated from user research. This paper aims to create an ontological model that defines the components of a Smart PSS and their relationships to help enterprises better support dynamic personalization requirements. A case-study of electric vehicles is then presented to explore the usage of the ontology-based knowledge model on a Smart PSS. © 2024 IEEE.

The user's requirements for product design include descriptiveness, dynamics, and personalization. The insufficient mapping of User requirement knowledge seriously affects the accuracy of designers' grasp of design ideas and design knowledge. For this issue, we proposed a design knowledge perception and representation method for user requirements. Design knowledge from user requirement question and answer (Q&A) was extracted, including design theme, design content, and design evaluation to improve communication efficiency between designers and users. A representation method was proposed for User requirement knowledge based on the Q&A of the user's initiating requirements and the product provider's solutions. A design requirement framework for expressing design intent was proposed by perceiving dialogue context. Furthermore, the rule of design requirement was derived based on attributes in User requirement knowledge for designers. Finally, the knowledge perception, representation method, and knowledge framework of air conditioners were analyzed to determine the knowledge rules. The results indicated that the knowledge perception and representation method proposed in this study accurately reflected User requirement knowledge and provided sufficient knowledge for product design. At the same time, the extracted design requirement was shared among different decision-makers, providing a theoretical basis for group decision-making. © 2023 IEEE.
