The occurrence of geological hazards and the instability of geotechnical engineering structures are closely related to the time-dependent behavior of ***,the idealization boundary condition for constant stress in creep or constant strain in relaxation is not usually attained in natural geological ***,generalized relaxation tests that explore the simultaneous changes of stress and strain with time under different stress levels with constant pore-water pressure are conducted in this *** results show that in area Ⅰ,area Ⅱ,and area Ⅲ,the stress and strain both change synchronously with time and show similar evolutionary laws as the strain-time curve for creep or the stress-time curve for *** the applied stress level surpasses the δ_(ci) or δ_(cd) threshold,the variations in stress and strain and their respective rates of change exhibit a significant *** radial deformation and its rate of change exhibit greater sensitivity in response to stress *** apparent strain deforms homogeneously at the primary stage,and subsequently,gradually localizes due to the microcrack development at the secondary ***,interconnection of the microcracks causes the formation of a shear-localization zone at the tertiary *** strain-time responses inside and outside the localization zone are characterized by local strain accumulation and inelastic unloading during the secondary and tertiary stages,*** width of the shear-localization zone is found to range from 4.43 mm to 7.08 mm and increased with a longer *** electron microscopy(SEM)reveals a dominant coalescence of intergranular cracks on the fracture surface,and the degree of physiochemical deterioration caused by water-rock interaction is more severe under a longer *** brittle sandstone’s time-dependent deformation is essentially controlled by microcrack development during generalized relaxation,and its expectancy-life is dete

Magnetic components play an important role in power electronic equipment, but there is still lack of accurate magnetic core loss estimation model. The data-driven methods are well-developed in recent years, and they are also more robust and accurate than conventional model-driven methods like Steinmetz Equation (SE) and improved Generalized Steinmetz Equation (iGSE). However, existing data-driven methods often focus on single excitation waveform like sinusoidal excitation waveform, which is not robust enough when facing complex excitation waveform with many high-frequency harmonic waveform. This paper presents a data-driven model based on attention mechanism which can capture the inner relationship within the input excitation waveform to present a more accurate core loss estimation results. And the comparison results with Multi-layer Perceptron (MLP) and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) models indicates that the proposed model has much more accuracy when facing complex excitation waveform. The proposed model can help to design magnetic components. © 2024 IEEE.

Touch-sensitive screens are crucial components of wearable *** such as reduced graphene oxide(rGO),carbon nanotubes(CNTs),and graphene offer promising solutions for flexible touch-sensitive ***,when stacked with flexible substrates to form multilayered capacitive touching sensors,these materials often suffer from substrate delamination in response to deformation;this is due to the materials having different Young’s modulus *** results in failure to offer accurate touch screen *** this work,we demonstrate an induced charge-based mutual capacitive touching sensor capable of high-precision touch *** is enabled by electron trapping and polarization effects related to mixed-coordinated bonding between copper nanoparticles and vertically grown graphene ***,we used an electron cyclotron resonance system to directly fabricate graphene-metal nanofilms(GMNFs)using carbon and copper,which are firmly adhered to flexible *** being subjected to 3000 bending actions,we observed almost no change in touch *** screen interaction system,which has a signal-to-noise ratio of 41.16 dB and resolution of 650 dpi,was tested using a handwritten Chinese character recognition trial and achieved an accuracy of 94.82%.Taken together,these results show the promise of touch-sensitive screens that use directly fabricated GMNFs for wearable devices.

Planning of a Single Flow Channel in Valve Blocks Based on Additive Manufacturing and the Ant Colony Algorithm

As electro-hydrostatic actuator(EHA)technology advances towards lightweight and integration,the demand for enhanced internal flow pathways in hydraulic valve blocks ***,owing to the constraints imposed by traditional manufacturing processes,conventional hydraulic integrated valve blocks fail to satisfy the demands of a more compact channel layout and lower energy ***,the subjectivity in the arrangement of internal passages results in a time-consuming and labor-intensive *** study employed additive manufacturing technology and the ant colony algorithm and B-spline curves for the meticulous design of internal passages within an aviation EHA valve *** layout environment for the valve block passages was established,and path optimization was achieved using the ant colony algorithm,complemented by smoothing using B-spline ***-dimensional modeling was performed using SolidWorks software,revealing a 10.03%reduction in volume for the optimized passages compared with the original *** fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations were performed using Fluent software,demonstrating that the algorithmically optimized passages effectively prevented the occurrence of vortices at right-angled locations,exhibited superior flow characteristics,and concurrently reduced pressure losses by 34.09%-36.36%.The small discrepancy between the experimental and simulation results validated the efficacy of the ant colony algorithm and B-spline curves in optimizing the passage design,offering a viable solution for channel design in additive manufacturing.

Achieving an Accurate Random Process Model for PV Power Using Cheap Data:Leveraging the SDE and Public Weather Reports

Stochastic differential equation (SDE)-based random process models of renewable energy sources (RESs) jointly capture evolving probability distribution and temporal correlation in continuous time. It enabled recent studies to remarkably improve performance of power system dynamic uncertainty quantification and optimization. However, considering the non-homogeneous random process nature of PV, there still remains a challenging question: how can a realistic and accurate daily SDE model for PV power be obtained that reflects its weather-dependent and non-Gaussian uncertainty in operation, especially when high-resolution numerical weather prediction (NWP) or sky imager is unavailable for many distributed plants? To fill this gap, this article finds that an accurate SDE model for PV power can be constructed only using the data from low-resolution public weather reports. Specifically, for each day, an hourly parameterized Jacobi diffusion process recreates temporal patterns of PV volatility. Its parameters are mapped from the day's public weather reports to reflect varying weather conditions using a simple learning model. The SDE model jointly captures intraday and intrahour volatility. Statistical examination shows that the proposed approach outperforms a selection of the latest deep learning-based time series models on real-world data collected in Macao.

Achieving an efficient and stable heterogeneous Fenton reaction over a wide pH range is of great significance for wastewater ***,a pollen-derived biochar catalyst with a unique honeycomb-like structure,coupled with the dispersion of magnetic Fe_(3)O_(4)/FeS(Fe/S)nanoparticles,was synthesized by simple impregnation precursor,followed by *** prepared Fe/S-biochar catalyst demonstrated outstanding phenol degradation efficiency across a wide pH range,with 98%of which eliminated even under neutral conditions(pH 7.0).The high catalytic activity was due to the multilevel porous structure of pollenderived biochar provided enough active sites and allowed for better electron transfer,then increases oxidation ability to promote the ***,the acid microenvironment formed by SO_(4)^(2-)group from Fe/S composite extended the pH range for Fenton reaction,and S^(2-)facilitated the conversion of≡Fe^(3+)to≡Fe^(2+),resulting in remarkable degradation ***,biochar can effectively promote cycling stability by limiting Fe *** work may provide a general strategy for designing 3D framework biochar-based Fe/S catalysts with excellent performance for heterogeneous Fenton reactions.

Although supported solid amine adsorbents have attracted great attention for CO2capture,critical chemical deactivation problems including oxidative degradation and urea formation have severely restricted their practical applications for flue gas *** this work,we reveal that the nature of surface hydroxyl groups （metal hydroxyl Al–OH and nonmetal hydroxyl Si–OH） plays a key role in the deactivation *** polyethyleneimine （PEI） supported on Al–OH-containing substrates suffers from severe oxidative degradation during the CO2capture step due to the breakage of amine-support hydrogen bonding networks,but exhibits an excellent anti-urea formation feature by preventing dehydration of carbamate products under a pure CO2regeneration *** contrast,PEI supported on Si–OH-containing substrates exhibits excellent anti-oxidative stability under simulated flue gas conditions by forming a robust hydrogen bonding protective network with Si–OH,but suffers from obvi- ous urea formation during the pure CO2regeneration *** also reveal that the urea formation problem for PEI-SBA-15 can be avoided by the incorporation of an OH-containing PEG *** on the intrinsic understanding of degradation mechanisms,we successfully synthesized an adsorbent 40PEI-20PEG-SBA-15 that demonstrates outstanding stability and retention of a high CO2capacity of 2.45 mmol g-1over 1000 adsorption–desorption cycles,together with negligible capacity loss during aging in simulated flue gas （10%CO2+5%O2+3%H2O） for one month at60–70℃.We believe this work makes great contribution to the advancement in the field of ultra-stable solid amine-based CO2capture materials.

To investigate the mesoscopic influence of surfactants on seepage law during water injection in coal seam, this paper innovatively establishes a fluid transport lattice Boltzmann (LBM) model by incorporating the seepage resistance generated from the porous media and external forces, which embodies the impact of wettability degree resulted from cocamidopropyl betaine (CAB), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), and coconutt diethanol amide (CDEA) reagents at a 0.1% concentration. The main conclusions derived from this investigation are as follows: Firstly, as the lattice number in the X direction increases, the average seepage velocities in coal samples treated by deionized water, 0.1% CAB, 0.1% SDS, and 0.1% CDEA reagents (Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4) exhibit three distinct stages: rapid decline, slow decline, and steady decline;in comparison to raw coal sample, modified coal samples demonstrate decreases of 20.84%, 33.91%, and 61.70%, respectively. Secondly, the critical values of displacement pressure difference exist during the phenomenon that modified reagents spread out in the entire flow channel, which are 3.5, 3.5, and 5.2 MPa, respectively, for coal samples Nos. 2, 3, and 4;this signifies that surpassing these critical values help prevent issues such as blank belts within the wetting range and insufficient dust control. Finally, at a displacement pressure difference of 0.01 (lattice unit), the average velocity ratios for samples (Nos. 2, 3, and 4) are 0.78, 0.56, and 0.37 (lattice unit), respectively;notably, the water flow velocities in modified coal samples are lower compared to that in raw coal sample, indicating that the addition of surfactants impede the seepage process of water injection in coal seam. Experimental research on enhanced the microfine oil droplets separation using hydrocyclone coupled with fiber coalescence

The limitations of swirl separation in removing microfine oil droplets in water have driven the development of hydrocyclone technology coupled with multiphase or multifield techniques. To enhance microfine oil droplets separation, a novel hydrocyclone separation coupled with fiber coalescence (HCCFC) was designed. The interaction between fiber balls and oil droplets inside the hydrocyclone, including droplet coalescence and breakage, was investigated. The influence of different operating parameters on separation efficiency was discussed. The results showed that fiber balls promoted oil droplet coalescence when the inlet droplet size (D43) was below 22.37 μm but caused droplet breakage above this threshold. The coalescence performance of HCCFC improved with increasing inlet oil content but declined beyond 450 mg·L−1. Separation experiments confirmed that HCCFC outperformed conventional hydrocyclone, with separation efficiency increasing by 2.9% to 20.0%. As the fiber ball content and inlet flow rate increased, the separation efficiency showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. Additionally, HCCFC's separation efficiency varied with inlet oil droplet size distribution, showing the most significant enhancement when D43 was 22.37 μm, where separation efficiency increased by 14.4%. These findings offer insights into the development and application of multiphase coupled with hydrocyclone technology. © 2025 Chemical Industry and engineering Society of China, and Chemical Industry Press Co., Ltd.
