Unique rapid solidified structure and nanocrystallization mechanism enable the Fe-based nanocrystalline alloys with high Cu content excellent soft magnetic properties and good manufacturability,and also results in unusual phenomena in terms of alloying *** the present work,we systematically studied the influence rules of early transition elements on the rapid solidified structure and nanocrystallization behaviors of Fe-Si-B-Cu soft magnetic alloys with high Cu content and explored the related *** terms of rapid solidified structure,the additions of early transition elements always inhibit the for-mation of pre-existingα-Fe crystals even eliminate them,and the additions that could produce larger atomic mismatch parameter(δ)and negative mixing enthalpy(△H_(mix))show stronger *** terms of nanocrystallization behaviors,the increases inδand negative△H_(mix) weaken the competitive growth between the pre-existing nanocrystals during annealing and then coarsen the nanostructure of the an-nealed alloys and deteriorate their magnetic softness,while the excessive increases inδand negativeHmix could significantly suppress the growth ofα-Fe crystals by diffusion inhibition during annealing and thus remarkable refine the nanostructure of the annealed alloys and improve their magnetic softness.

Membrane fouling is a bottleneck issue that hindered the further application of ultrafiltration *** alleviate membrane fouling,coagulation-ultrafiltration(C-UF)process using polyaluminum chloride(PACl)and PACl-Al_(13)with high proportion of Al_(13)O_(4)(OH)_(24)^(7+)as coagulants,respectively,were investigated at various pH *** indicated that an increase in solution pH contributed to larger floc size and looser floc structure for both PACl and PACl-Al_(13).It was conducive to the formation of more porous cake,as evidenced by mean pore area and pore area distribution of cake,leading to lower reversible ***,humic acid(HA)removal presented a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of *** optimal HA removal was achieved at pH 6 regardless of coagulant type,suggesting that the slightest irreversible fouling should be occurred at this ***,the irreversible fouling with PACl coagulant achieved a minimum value at pH 9,while the minimal irreversible fouling with PACl-Al_(13)was observed at pH *** speculated that the cake formed by PACl could further intercept HA prior to UF process at alkaline ***,compared with PACl,PACl-Al_(13)had a stronger charge neutralization ability,thus contributing to more compact floc structure and higher HA removal at various pH *** UF fractionation measurement,higher HA removal for PACl-Al_(13)was due to higher removal of HA with molecular weight less than 50 kDa.

In this paper, the phenomenon of liquid-solid interfacial discharge along a carbon foil immersed in water medium has been investigated. Based on the multi-physical diagnoses and high-speed photography, the pulsed discharges were performed under different charging voltages and electrode spacing. Compared with the traditional water-gap breakdown, it is found that introducing a carbon foil can significantly diminish the breakdown delay (less than 1 μs) and lower the requirement of applied voltage (kV/cm level). Charging voltage and electrode spacing affect the discharge load voltage, loop current and load power. When the charging voltage increases from 4.5 kV to 6.3 kV, the current peak increases from 2.352 kA to 3.583 kA, the voltage peak increases from 0.690 kV to 1.692 kV, and the power peak increases nearly two times. In addition, the discharge will produce light radiation, and an increase in charging voltage from 4.5 kV to 6.3 kV can increase the intensity of light radiation by 2.39 times. The discharge can also produce pressure waves lasting tens of microseconds and has a bubble effect. When the charging voltage increases from 4.5 kV to 8.9 kV, the maximum radial diameter of the bubble increases from 9.15 mm to 15.35 mm. This study not only enriches the fundamental research problems of liquid-solid interface discharge but also gives an alternative scheme of water gap discharge in technology, which improves the controllability and efficiency of underwater discharge. © 2024 IEEE.

This study focuses on the influence of the polarization of incident light in the laser slicing of 4H-SiC wafers. The structure of longitudinal damage within the material after laser modification was measured and analyzed. The impact of laser pulse energy on this structure was studied. Differences in longitudinal damage under different polarization states were compared. In addition, the effects of laser polarization on the modification of line width and lateral crack propagation were investigated. A vector diffraction model was established to analyze the propagation characteristics of beams with different polarization states during focusing. The results indicate that a linearly polarized beam perpendicular to the scanning direction offers superior modification efficacy compared to other directions of linear polarization and circular polarization. Azimuthally and radially polarized beams substantially decrease the length of longitudinal damage and reduce the difficulty of delamination. Compared to the linearly polarized beam perpendicular to the scanning direction, the azimuthally polarized beam reduces the longitudinal damage length by 49.3% and the delamination stress by 47.0%. In comparison, the radially polarized beam reduces the longitudinal damage length by 39.4% and the delamination stress by 53.8%. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Mechanical properties and influence mechanism of confined concrete arches in high-stress tunnels

Deep underground projects(e.g., coal mines), are often faced with complex conditions such as high stress and extremely soft rock. The strength and rigidity of the traditional support system are often insufficient,which makes it difficult to meet the requirements of ground control under complex conditions. As a new support form with high strength and rigidity, the confined concrete arch plays an important role in controlling the rock deformation under complex conditions. The section shape of the tunnel has an important impact on the mechanical properties and design of the support system. However, studies on the mechanical properties and influence mechanism of the new confined concrete arch are rarely reported. To this end, the mechanical properties of traditional U-shaped steel and new confined concrete arches are compared and comparative tests on arches of circular and straight-leg semicircular shapes in deep tunnels are conducted. A large mechanical testing system for underground engineering support structure is developed. The mechanical properties and influence mechanism of confined concrete arches with different section shapes under different loading modes and cross-section parameters are systematically studied. Test results show that the bearing capacity of the confined concrete arch is 2.10 times that of the U-shaped steel arch, and the bearing capacity of the circular confined concrete arch is 2.27 times that of the straight-leg semicircular arch. Among the various influencing factors and their engineering parameters,the lateral stress coefficient has the greatest impact on the bearing capacity of the confined concrete arch,followed by the steel pipe wall thickness, steel strength, and core concrete strength. Subsequently, the economic index of bearing capacity and cost is established, and the optimization design method for the confined concrete arch is proposed. Enhancing the terrain adaptability of a multirobot cooperative transportation system via novel connectors and optimized cooperative strategies
