TA118-axis inertially stabilized platform (ISP) is a key technology in airborne remote sensing system, which is used to support an optical imaging sensor and hold the line of sight (LOS) of the sensor vertical to the earth, whose accuracy has a great effect on the remote sensing image quality. Presently the control method for ISP is mostly focused on conventional PID control, which has disadvantages of low accuracy, bad disturbance rejection capacity. A novel disturbance observer(DOB) is devised in this paper aiming to attenuate the influence of the disturbing torque and enhance the accuracy for the ISP, in which the disturbing torque is calculated according to the gimbal angular acceleration estimated from the angular rate information and the motor current, then the equivalent compensation current is calculated and added into the input of the current loop to compensate disturbances. The proposed approach has the advantage of high accuracy, strong disturbance rejection capacity and strong practicality in engineering. Simulations and vehicle experiments prove that, compared to conventional PID and DOB based on PID, the proposed approach can enhance the accuracy of the ISP significantly. © 2018 IEEE.

With the development of the blockchain technology, Bitcoin mining has become more and more popular. This paper aims to provide a three-level framework of the economic issues in Bitcoin mining research, from the levels of mining pools, individual miners and blockchain network. We also offer an overview of relevant research efforts in literature. Considering the uncertainty, diversity and complexity of the Bitcoin ecosystems, we propose a novel research framework based on the ACP theory, which can be used to explore the economic issues in the Bitcoin ecosystems. This paper aims to provide a preliminary investigation to the economic issues faced by participants in the Bitcoin ecosystems, and stimulate the attentions and interests of researchers in this field. © 2018 IEEE.

The sufficient actual big data analysis shows that wind speed has multi-scale amplitude & frequency modulation characteristics. There is an evident amplitude modulation effect between the average wind speed and the turbulence variance, and the modulation effect is also found with multi-scale characteristic. The turbulence intensity decreases with the wind speed in a certain range. However, when the wind speed is great in a certain degree, the turbulence intensity almost keeps stable. Simultaneously, both the average wind speed and the center frequency also have the multi-scale modulation effect. The center frequency increases with the wind speed in a certain range. However, when the wind speed is great in a certain degree, the center frequency almost keeps stable. The key discussion was given for this multi-scale amplitude and frequency modulation characteristic resulting from the cascade effect of turbulent energy transport. And the instantaneous model of wind speed and wind power is presented for its great significance of power system's real-time dispatch and optimization control.

Traditional vision system mounted onto robots may have image blurring and shaking caused by unwanted robot motion, which makes it difficult to sense the environment precisely. This paper presents a real-time hybrid image stabilization method combining mechanical motion compensation and electronic compensation to solve the problem based on a 9-DOF vision platform called Robotic Bionic Eye developed by us. In the mechanical video stabilization stage, a distrubtance reduction control method is proposed to suppress the disturbtance. In the electronic video stabilization stage, 3D camera rotational motion is obtained from IMU and 2D image motion is detected by image motion detection algorithms. These motion is further filtered and image sequences are rewarped to remove rotational shake as well as translational shake for a second time. Experiments verified that our algorithm improves the inter-frame transformation fidelity while ensuring real-time performance.

An anaerobic ceramic membrane bioreactor (AnCMBR) with thermally-hydrolyzed sewage sludge as the inoculum was started up at the ambient temperature (26.97 ± 4.23 °C) for treating simulated domestic wastewater. The AnCMBR was operated for 60 days under 24 h hydraulic retention time (HRT), 50 days sludge retention time (SRT), and the mean organic loading rate (OLR) of 0.42 kgCODm −3 d −1 . Soluble chemical oxygen demand (SCOD) removal evaluation, volatile fatty acid (VFA), and Alkalinity (ALK) analyses, and the microbial community evaluation by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were conducted. The reported maximum and mean SCOD removals were 62%, 43.54% ± 11.61 respectively. The total volatile fatty acids/alkalinity (TVFA/ALK) ratio was 0.59 indicating system instability. Microbial community analysis revealed significant shifts during the start-up process. The Bacteroidetes were well acclimatized throughout the start-up. The Firmicutes had suppressed during the start-up while Proteobacteria , Epsilonbacteraeota , Spirochetes phylum newly emerged in the system. The thermally-hydrolyzed inoculum was not established as a successful microbial community for treating domestic wastewater at the ambient conditions in this AnCMBR. The findings provided insights on microbial mechanisms and the basis of anaerobic digestion process instability. In comparison with previous studies, the potential countermeasures to address this were identified as proper selection and frequent addition of inoculum, and process monitoring.

The form and the mechanism of energy transfer for lower limb rehabilitation robot are very important, which not only affect the structure of rehabilitation robot, but also involve patient's safety. This study aimed to analyze different energy transfer methods for lower limb rehabilitation robot. Based on the analysis of lower extremity anatomy and gait, pros and cons of common-used energy transfer form and mechanism are introduced, respectively, such as rotary motor type, ball screws type, and pneumatic muscle type. Moreover, efficiency of energy transfer which is convenient to practical application for lower limb rehabilitation robot is emphasized as well as safety. Finally, future development trend of energy transfer for lower limb rehabilitation robot is discussed combining with the biggest demands in China. This pilot analysis would give some helps for the future design and practical application of lower limb rehabilitation robot. © 2018 IEEE.

Assessment of the predictive capability of RANS models in simulating mean-dering open channel flows

The predictive capability of Reynolds-averaged numerical simulation （RANS） models is investigated by simulating the flow in meandering open channel flumes and comparing the obtained results with the measured data. The flow structures of the two experiments are much different in order to get better insights. Two eddy viscosity turbulence models and different wall treatment methods are tested. Comparisons show that no essential difference exists among the predictions. The difference of turbulence models has a limited effect, and the near wall refinement improves the predictions slightly. Results show that, while the longitudinal velo- cities are generally well predicted, the predictive capability of the secondary flow is largely determined by the complexity of the flow structure. In Case 1 of a simple flow structure, the secondary flow velocity is reasonably predicted. In Case 2, consisting of sharp curved consecutive reverse bends, the flow structure becomes complex after the first bend, and the complex flow structure leads to the poor prediction of the secondary flow. The analysis shows that the high level of turbulence anisotropy is related with the boundary layer separation, but not with the flow structure complexity in the central area which definitely causes the poor prediction of RANS models. The turbulence model modifications and the wall treatment methods barely improve the predictive capability of RANS models in simulating complex flow structures.

Exploring new porous coordination polymers (PCPs) that have tunable structure and conductivity is attractive but remains challenging. Herein, fine pore structure engineering by ligand conformation control of naphthalene diimide (NDI)-based semiconducting PCPs with π stacking-dependent conductivity tunability is achieved. The π stacking distances and ligand conformation in these isoreticular PCPs were modulated by employing metal centers with different coordination geometries. As a result, three conjugated PCPs (Co−pyNDI, Ni−pyNDI, and Zn−pyNDI) with varying pore structure and conductivity were obtained. Their crystal structures were determined by three-dimensional electron diffraction. The through-space charge transfer and tunable pore structure in these PCPs result in modulated selectivity and sensitivity in gas sensing. Zn−pyNDI can serve as a room-temperature operable chemiresistive sensor selective to acetone.

Hidden policy ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption with keyword search against keyword guessing attack

Attribute-based encryption with keyword search(ABKS) enables data owners to grant their search capabilities to other users by enforcing an access control policy over the outsourced encrypted data. However,existing ABKS schemes cannot guarantee the privacy of the access structures, which may contain some sensitive private information. Furthermore, resulting from the exposure of the access structures, ABKS schemes are susceptible to an off-line keyword guessing attack if the keyword space has a polynomial size. To solve these problems, we propose a novel primitive named hidden policy ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption with keyword search(HP-CPABKS). With our primitive, the data user is unable to search on encrypted data and learn any information about the access structure if his/her attribute credentials cannot satisfy the access control policy specified by the data owner. We present a rigorous selective security analysis of the proposed HP-CPABKS scheme, which simultaneously keeps the indistinguishability of the keywords and the access structures. Finally,the performance evaluation verifies that our proposed scheme is efficient and practical.
