Remarkable improved strength and ductility in brittle eutectic high-entropy alloy via a novel spheroidization and recrystallization strategy

Eutectic high-entropy alloys(EHEAs),as a classification of high-entropy alloys(HEAs),have received worldwide interest due to superior fluidity and attractive ***,other than the FCC+B2 EHEA system,most other reported EHEA systems show inherent brittleness during tensile loading at room temperature,which limits their advanced engineering *** this work,a novel spheroidization+recrystallization(SR)strategy for synergistic strengthening and plasticizing of the brit-tle CoCrFeNi_(2)(V_(6)B_(3)Si)_(0.149)was *** superior combination of strength and ductility was achieved by tailoring spherical M3 B2+recrystallized FCC duplex *** on this strategy,the yield strength and elongation were improved from 565±15 MPa and 2.3%±0.3%to 841±24-1278±20 MPa and 14.7%±0.5%-22.5%±1.2%,with an increase of 48%-126%and 539%-878%,*** synergistic increment in the strength and ductility of SR-FCC+M_(3)B_(2)EHEAs exceeds all reported fur-ther strengthened FCC+B2 ***,such simple thermo-mechanical processing is suitable for large-scale industrial *** high strength results from the back stress provided by the dual heterogeneity of FCC grain sizes and soft FCC/hard M_(3)B_(2).The good ductility is attributed to the dislo-cation movement path released by spheroidized M3 B2 and a more uniform stress distribution caused by the recrystallized *** work provides a new strategy for synergistic strengthening and plasticizing of the brittle EHEAs to meet industrial reliability requirements.

Solution-processed organic‒inorganic halide perovskite(OIHP)single crystals(SCs)have demonstrated great potential in ionizing radiation detection due to their outstanding charge transport properties and low-cost ***,the energy resolution(ER)and stability of OIHP detectors still lag far behind those of melt-grown inorganic perovskite and commercial CdZnTe counterparts due to the absence of detector-grade high-quality OIHP ***,we reveal that the crystallinity and uniformity of OIHP SCs are drastically improved by relieving interfacial stress with a facial gel-confined solution growth strategy,thus enabling the direct preparation of large-area detector-grade SC wafers up to 4 cm with drastically suppressed electronic and ionic *** resultant radiation detectors show both a small dark current below 1 nA and excellent baseline stability of 4.0×10^(-8) nA cm^(-1) s^(-1) V^(-1),which are rarely realized in OIHP ***,a record high ER of 4.9% at 59.5 keV is achieved under a standard 241Am gamma-ray source with an ultralow operating bias of 5 V,representing the best gamma-ray spectroscopy performance among all solution-processed semiconductor radiation detectors ever reported.

The combustion process in the combustion chamber of the engine will change the electrostatic field characteristics of the jet aircraft, thereby affecting the accuracy of the electrostatic field information obtained by the electrostatic detector. Based on the quantitative analysis of the evolution of charged particles in the combustion chamber, this study further analyses the effect of different surface materials in the combustion chamber on the charging process of combustion products. The combustion chamber is divided into burning zone, intermediate zone and dilution zone, and the evolution model of charged particles in the combustion chamber is constructed under the time constraint. Finally, the variation curve of the charged particle concentration when the surface materials in the combustion chamber are metal materials and non-metal materials are calculated by simulation, and the influence of the conductivity of the surface materials in the combustion chamber on the combustion charging process is analyzed. This study provides the analytical basis for the application of electrostatic detection technology in jet aircraft. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Achievement of steady and reliable super-low friction at the steel/steel contact interface,one of the most tribological systems applied for mechanical moving parts,is of importance for prolonging machine lifetime and reducing energy *** we reported that the superlubricity performance of the steel/steel sliding interface lubricated with tiny amounts of diketone solution strongly depends on the oxygen content in surrounding *** increase of oxygen not only significantly shortens the initial running-in time but also further reduces the stable coefficient of friction in superlubricity stage due to the enhancement of tribochemical *** the one hand,more severe oxidation wear occurring at higher oxygen content facilitates material removal of the contact interface,lowering the contact pressure and the corresponding initial *** the other hand,the growth of iron ions during the shear process in high oxygen environment promotes the formation of chelate which acted as an effective lubricated film chemisorbed at the steel/steel friction interface to further lower the interfacial *** results provide a new opportunity to further optimize the tribological performance of diketone superlubricity system,especially towards the lubrication of mechanical engineering materials.

The confirmation of gravitational waves in recent years has set off a new upsurge of exploring the extreme interactions critical to the origin and evolution of stars,galaxies,and the *** detection of gravitational waves in space is expected to cover the largest number and the greatest variety of gravitational wave sources,which is more compelling and valuable than the initial detection on the *** dynamics and control are the keys to realizing the detection of gravitational waves in *** paper reviews the orbital mechanics for space-based gravitational wave *** principle and typical gravitational wave observation mission concepts are first introduced and classified ***,the orbital mechanics of the space-based gravitational wave observatories in different spatial locations are *** the basis of the characteristics of different observatories,2 groups of methods related to the observatory configuration design and optimization are summarized:the constellation configuration design and optimization method similar to the geocentric configuration and libration point configuration,the formation design and optimization method similar to heliocentric *** prospects of space-based gravitational wave observatories are finally put forward,which shall provide a reference for future research on space-based gravitational wave observatories.
