Surface tension effects on Rayleigh-Taylor instability in nonideal fluids:A multiple-relaxation-time discrete Boltzmann study

A multi-relaxation-time discrete Boltzmann model for compressible non-ideal gases with adjustable specific heat ratio is proposed,and the impact of surface tension on Rayleigh-Taylor instability(RTI)is investigated from two perspectives:macroscopic and non-equilibrium *** terms of physical cognition,(1)it is found that there are two critical surface tensions:the upper critical value and the lower critical *** the surface tension is below the lower critical value,the RTI evolution aligns qualitatively with the case without surface *** the surface tension coefficient increases,the inhibitory effect on RTI evolution gradually *** the surface tension is greater than the upper critical value,the disturbance interface tends to be stable after multiple *** the surface tension is in between,the perturbation interface first reverses,or even multiple reverses,and then destabilizes and develops rapidly.(2)A series of new kinetic behavior characteristics are given,and it is found that some behavior characteristics have important reference value for the control of system *** example,the first peak in the growth rate of the global average non-organized momentum flux strength D_(2)corresponds to the onset of the regular nonlinear *** peak in the growth rate of the global average non-organized energy flux strength D_(3,1)marks the beginning of the re-acceleration *** onset of the uniform acceleration stage in the growth rate of the global average nonequilibrium strength D_(T NE)corresponds to the system transitioning into the regular nonlinear stage,while its terminal point(also the peak)corresponds to the system entering the re-acceleration *** insights enhance understanding of RTI mechanisms in complex fluids kinetically.

Sensitivity analysis and probability modelling of the structural response of a single-layer reticulated dome subjected to an external blast loading

The structural response of a single-layer reticulated dome to external explosions is shaped by many variables,and the associated uncertainties imply non-deterministic *** deterministic methods for predicting the consequences of specific explosions do not account for these ***,the impact of the uncertainties associated with these input variables on the structures’response needs to be studied and *** this study,a parametric uncertainty analysis was conducted ***,local and global sensitivity analyses were carried out to identify the drivers of the structural dynamic response.A probabilistic structural response model was established based on sensitive variables and a reasonable sample ***,some deterministic empirical methods for explosion-resistance design,including the plane blast load model of CONWEP,the curved blast load model under the 50%assurance level,and the 20%mass-increased method,were used for evaluating their *** results of the analyses revealed that the structural response of a single-layer reticulated dome to an external blast loading is lognormally ***,the MB0.5 method based on the curved reflector load model yielded results with a relatively stable assurance rate and reliability,but CONWEP did not;thus,the 1.2MB0.5 method can be used for making high-confidence simple *** addition,the results indicated that the structural response is very sensitive to the explosion *** on these results,it is suggested that for explosion proofing,setting up a defensive barrier is more effective than structural strengthening.

External blast flow field evolution and response mechanism of single-layer reticulated dome structure

Single-layer reticulated dome structure are commonly high-profile building in the public and can be attractive targets for terrorist bombings,so the public can benefit from enhanced safety with a stronger understanding of the behavior of single-layer reticulated dome structure under *** paper investigates the fluid-structure interaction process and the dynamic response performance of the singlelayer reticulated dome under external blast *** experimental and numerical results shown that structural deformation is remarkably delayed compared with the velocity of blast wave,which advises the dynamic response of large-span reticulated dome structure has a negligible effect on the blast wave propagation under *** failure modes are identified by comparing the plastic development of each ring and the residual spatial geometric of the structure,i.e.,minor vibration,local depression,severe damage,and overall *** plastic deformation energy and the displacement potential energy of the structure are the main consumers of the blast *** addition,the stress performance of the vertex member and the deep plastic ratio of the whole structure can serve as qualitative indicators to distinguish different failure modes.

The rare earth elements(REEs)extraction by chemical leaching from ion-adsorption type rare earth ores(IAREO)has led to serious ecological and environmental ***,demand for bioleaching is on the rise with the advantage of being *** one of the organic acids produced by biological metabolism,citric acid was used to leach REEs and explore the performance and *** results demonstrate that citric acid exhibits higher leaching efficiency(96.00%)for REEs at a relatively low concentration of 0.01 mol/L compared with(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)(84.29%,0.1 mol/L)and MgSO_(4)(83.99%,0.1 mol/L).Citric acid shows a preference for leaching heavy rare earth elements,with 99%leaching efficiency in IAREO,which shows higher capacity than(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)and MgSO_(4)(as inorganic leaching agents).Kinetic analysis indicates that the leaching process of REEs with citric acid is controlled by both the internal diffusion kinetics and chemical reaction kinetics,which is different from inorganic leaching *** Minteq calculations confirm that RE-Citrate is the main constituent of the extract solution in the leaching process of the IAREO,thereby enhancing the leaching efficiency of REEs from the *** suggests that citric acid may be used as a promising organic leaching agent for the environmentalfriendly extraction of REEs from IAREO.

Based on the application of the rotating magnetic joint platform in high-precision and high stability pointing control of spacecraft, a dynamic model of the rotating magnetic joint is established, taking into account the dynamic characteristics of the rotating magnetic joint and the influence of platform and load disturbance actions. The decoupling control method of the load compartment is further derived, transforming the multi-input and multi-output system of magnetic joint cross coupling into a single-input and single-output system. On this basis, a load compartment pointing control method is further proposed, It can achieve complete isolation of platform cabin rotation disturbance. Through simulation analysis and verification, based on the established dynamic model of the rotating magnetic joint, using the pointing control method based on the load chamber can achieve high-precision and high stability control of the rotating load chamber. © beijing Paike Culture Commu. This paper presents an integrated control scheme for enhancing the ride comfort and handling performance of a four-wheel-independent-drive electric vehicle through the coordination of active suspension system(ASS)and anti-lock braking system(ABS).First,a longitudinal-vertical coupled vehicle dynamics model is established by integrating a road input *** the coupling mechanisms between longitudinal and vertical vehicle dynamics are *** ASS-ABS integrated control system is proposed,utilizing an H∞controller for ASS to optimize load transfer effect and a neural network sliding mode control for ABS ***,the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is evaluated through comprehensive tests conducted on a hardware-in-loop(HIL)test *** HIL test results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme can significantly improve the braking performance and ride comfort compared to conventional ABS control methods.

Compared with a conventional unscented Kalman filter(UKF),the recently proposed marginalized unscented Kalman filter(MUKF)uses a partially sampling strategy to achieve similar filter accuracy with fewer sigma points,demonstrating its powerful ability to deal with state estimation with mixed linearity and ***,the hypothesis that the accuracy of MUKF is equivalent to that of UKF is not true for all *** this paper,it is proved that when the state equation is expressed as a differential equation,the accuracy of MUKF is equivalent to that of UKF only when the propagations of the states to be sampled and the states not to be sampled in MUKF are independent of each *** above condition corresponds to a common problem in engineering,which is a system with measurement *** theoretical proof and numerical simulation,it is verified in this paper that for the systems with measurement biases,the differences of the computed means and covariances in filtering recursions between MUKF and UKF are restricted to the same order infinitesimal as the square of the scaling *** sum up,this paper evaluates the accuracy of MUKF,providing references for engineers to choose MUKF or UKF in different systems.
