Beamforming Design for RIS-Aided ISCC in Internet of Vehicles Systems

With the development of communication technology, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is becoming increasingly important, enabling vehicle-to-everything communication for real-time information exchange and processing, thereby significantly enhancing traffic efficiency and safety. In this article, we consider a joint beamforming design problem in IoV, where the objective is to minimize transmission power, computation rate, and communication rate within the integrated sensing, communication, and computation (ISCC) framework. Moreover, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) can provide additional spatial degrees of freedom to enhance the performance of ISCC systems in IoV within limited spectrum, energy resources, and complex interference management. To address the joint beamforming design problem, we present a cooperative beamforming algorithm called weight performance optimization (WPO), which explores three single-objective optimization problems in sensing, computation, and communication within the IoV context, using alternating optimization (AO) to simplify and solve these foundational elements of the WPO framework within limited resources and vehicle mobility, enhancing resource distribution while maintaining a balance between power efficiency and system performance. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency and potential advantages of our proposed algorithms. Specifically, the results show that the sensing error of the WPO algorithm is reduced by up to 92.2% compared to existing popular algorithms, while the computation rate and communication rate are increased by more than 29.5% and 23.9%, respectively. © 2014 IEEE.

CNS/Pulsar Integrated Navigation Using Two-level Filter

To improve the position accuracy, a CNS (Celestial navigation system)/pulsar integrated navigation system with clock drift is proposed. In the pulsar navigation subsystem, the epoch-difference method is adopted to eliminate clock drift, but it induces colored noise. The two-level filter, which is composed of an UKF (Unscented Kalman filter) and an H_∞ filter in series connected, is proposed for fusing the data from the celestial navigation and pulsar navigation subsystems. The celestial navigation subsystem adopts the UKF because of its good performance in nonlinear estimation, while the pulsar navigation subsystem utilizes the H_∞ filter due to its robustness to colored noise. Compared with CNS and two CNS/pulsar integrated navigation methods without two-level filter, the proposed method can provide higher navigation accuracy. Simulation results show that the position estimation accuracy of the proposed method can achieve 140m in the presence of clock drift.

The visual effect is an important fact in the coding algorithm. So the saliency of visual attention(SVA) can be used to determine the region of interest(ROI) in the ROI image coding. A novel SVA based ROI(SVA-ROI) image coding scheme is presented for the reconnaissance satellite systems. As the SVA of the original image and reconstructed image are usually the same, the same ROI can be automatically determined in the encoder and decoder with the SVA. Then the ROI side information is no need to be transmitted and the compression efficiency can be improved. Experimental results have demonstrated that SVA-ROI has better visual effect than the similar algorithms, which will be suitable for the reconnaissance satellite systems. © 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Geomagnetic field is the basic physics field of the Earth, which can't be destroyed or changed in the foreseeable future. Geomagnetic field don't require special service, therefore, it can be considered as a solid source of navigation information. The key technologies of geomagnetic navigation are still looking for high accuracy mapping and high accuracy geomagnetic field measurement on board aircraft, The article analyses some kinds of geomagnetic models. according to the character of the geomagnetic models, The NGDC-720 model is used as reference map preparation. The model with Kriging method give birth to the reference maps which include geomagnetic seven vectors' map (X, Y, Z, F, D, I, H). Using the reference maps, The geomagnetic vectors'statistical characters have been analyzed. According to the statistical characters, some changeable obviously statistical characters can be used as matching characteristic values. © 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

Axions, hypothetical elementary particles that remain undetectable in nature, can arise as quasiparticles in three-dimensional crystals known as axion insulators. Previous implementations of axion insulators have largely been limited to two-dimensional systems, leaving their topological properties in three dimensions unexplored in experiment. Here, we realize an axion insulator in a three-dimensional photonic crystal and probe its topological properties. Demonstrated features include half-quantized Chern numbers on each surface that resembles a fractional Chern insulator, unidirectional chiral hinge states forming topological transport in three dimensions, and arithmetic operations between fractional and integer Chern numbers. Our work experimentally establishes the axion insulator as a three-dimensional topological phase of matter and enables chiral states to form complex, unidirectional three-dimensional networks through braiding.

An adaptive SAR image enhancement method is presented for reducing the speckle noise and increasing the contrast of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. First, a fuzzy logic based filter, employing fuzzy edge to weight the contributions of pixel values in filter window, is used to filter the speckles. Second, the original SAR image is decomposed into lowfrequency component and high-frequency component. The fuzzy filtered image is viewed as the low-frequency component, and the contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization algorithm is used to increase its contrast. The highfrequency component is obtained by subtracting the low-frequency component from the original image, and its gain is controlled by fuzzy structural which employed to express the degree of a pixel belonging to structures. After processed one after the other, the two components are added together to form the final enhanced SAR image. Experimental results show the excellent effect of the proposed method by visual observation and numerical measurement. Many fine structures and little speckle noise can be seen from the enhanced SAR images. © 2009 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.

A novel 3D terrain matching algorithm is presented in this paper. A terrain feature vector map (FVM), composed of local mean and local gradient, is employed to represent the terrain elevation map (TEM). Compared with traditional matching algorithm using the magnitude of gradient to match, the new algorithm uses each component of the gradient vector to match individually, and it is able to generate two interim matching positions. Different from traditional matching algorithms which usually estimate an optimum matching position under some criterions at the end, the new algorithm fused the two interim matching positions to generate a final matching position or refuse to position in order to increase the matching confidence, which is very important because it is hardly acceptable to employ a mismatched position to correct the error of Inertial Navigation System (INS). Due to the stability of terrain and the high-precision of lidar ranging, the mean of a sensed terrain elevation map (STEM) sized terrain is quite stable. So it is bestowed to accelerate the matching process and to reduce mismatches at different terrain heights. Compared with other mismatch-eliminated methods based on neural network (NN) or support vector machine (SVM), the new method do not need training samples and is more stable and robust. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective and robust.

Visual Simulation, which has been applied widely to provide convenience to people from every walk of life, plays a crucial role in the field of Virtual Reality. In this thesis, 8 models representing 8 typical materials, are created by multiGen Creator, and rendered by Vega for analysis of relation between grey values in simulated pictures and real radiance. Finally, the method of infrared simulation based on Vega is proved effective in the field of military by comparison between simulated pictures and real shot pictures at different times of the day. ©2010 IEEE.
