The corrosion behavior of a low carbon steel was investigated at 1200°C in mixed SO2-CO2-O2-N2 gas atmospheres with different content of SO2. The composition of the oxide scale was analyzed by XRD. The morphology and element distribution in the oxide scale was studied by SEM and EDX. The results show that corrosion resistance of the steel reduces when the concentration of SO2 reaches 200 mg/m3. A complete FeS layer is formed at the interface of the scale and substrate while the concentration of SO2 exceeds 500 mg/m3. The FeS layer reduces the adherence of oxide scale, destroys the integrity of the oxide layer and caused severe oxidation at high temperature. In addition, the FeS layer sticks to the steel surface during cooling and affects the surface quality of later product. The structure of outer scale, which is composed of Fe2O3 layer and Fe3O4-FeO mixed layer, stays the same in the range of concentration of SO2 for the present experiments. By controlling the SO2 content in the atmosphere, the sulphur segregation at the interface can be alleviated, the high temperature corrosion of the steel can be reduced, the descaling ability is enhanced and the surface quality of finish product is improved.

This paper presents a novel parallel system for Rail Transit based on ACP approach (Artificial systems, Computational experiments, Parallel execution), which is proposed to address issues on safety, efficiency and reliability of their operation and optimization. Firstly, the construction of dynamic, overall and real Artificial Rail Transit systems and their demonstration are provided. Then, based on these systems, the platform, content and analysis of computational experiments and comprehensive evaluation system are researched. Finally, parallel control and management of the actual systems via parallel execution can be achieved. By Parallel Rail Transit systems, a set of recommendations and strategies of railway can be formed, which would improve the overall functionality of the trail transit system.

Particle technology, developed for the production and processing of all kinds of granular materials and powders, has been a pillar for a wide range of industries even in the pre-industrial era, and has experienced rapid expanding and upgrading in recent years together with other modern technologies. It covers not only traditional areas such as mining, fuel and energy, chemical engineering, agriculture and food processing, but also pharmaceutics, cosmetics and nano-materials. In fact, particle technology is dealing with the second largest quantity of materials in all industries, only after water, and approximately 10% of the energy consumption worldwide is related to the processing of particulate materials. In addition, almost half products and 3/4 feed stocks in chemical engineering are in the form of grains or powders.
