Studies on the degradation process of waste polyethylene terephthalate(PET)have become increasingly mature,but there are relatively few studies on the separation of degradation *** products contain many components and the separation of which is ***,the study on phase equilibrium thermodynamics of bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate(BHET)is of great theoretical significance and practical value to provide basic data for the BHET crystallization *** this work,the degraded products were purified and *** solubility of BHET in methanol,ethanol,ethylene glycol,water and the mixture of ethylene glycol+water were determined by static *** experimental results were correlated with different models,such as ideal solution(IS)model,λh equation,Apelblat equation and NRTL *** on the van’t Hoff equation,the mixing Gibbs energy,enthalpy and entropy were *** this work,the basic data which can be used to guide the crystallization process of BHET were obtained,including solubility data,correlation model and thermodynamic properties.

Theoretical and experimental studies suggest that both Hermitian and non-Hermitian quasicrystals show localization due to the fractal spectrum and to the transition to diffusive bands via exceptional points, respectively. Here, we present an experimental study of a dodecagonal photonic quasicrystal based on electromagnetically induced transparency in a Rb vapor cell. First, we observe the suppression of the wave packet expansion in the Hermitian case. We then discover a new regime, where increasing the non-Hermiticity leads to delocalization, demonstrating that the behavior in non-Hermitian quasicrystals is richer than previously thought.

The challenges faced by radar seeker primarily stem from inadequate heat dissipation in chips and excessive weight. To address these issues, this study introduces a novel integrated phase-change heat sink architecture, composed of a copper alloy matrix, annealed pyrolytic graphite (APG), and phase-change materials (PCMs) serving as heat conduction reinforcements. The numerical analysis of the heat dissipation performance of this architecture is conducted using Fluent software. The study evaluates the impact of APG anisotropy, APG/Cu interface thermal resistance, APG thickness, and surface area on the heat conduction efficiency. Results demonstrate that APG facilitates a uniform in-plane temperature distribution, allowing PCMs to absorb heat more evenly. Consequently, APG proves effective in enhancing heat dissipation and safeguarding chips from high temperatures. In comparison to a pure copper component, the APG/Cu/PCM structure reduces chip temperature by a substantial 56.27%. Furthermore, increasing the surface area of APG generally contributes to an enhanced heat transfer capability of entire architecture. The paper presents a quantitative relationship between APG surface area and optimal thickness. Importantly, APG satisfies the lightweight requirement, further emphasizing its suitability for addressing the thermal challenges in radar seeker structures. © 2024, The Authors. Effect of Mixer Structure on Liquid Film Formation and Nox Conversion Efficiency in Selective Catalytic Reduction System

Selective Catalytic Reduction as an efficient technology to reduce NOx emission has been widely applied in exhaust aftertreatment system. However, the reductant injection causes inevitable impingement on the exhaust pipe and mixer surface and the liquid film will be generated. In this paper, the simulation of a double-blade mixer (Mixer 1) is verified by a bench test and other three kinds of mixer structures (baffle mixer: Mixer 2, blade-baffle mixer: Mixer 3, and blade mixer: Mixer 4) are simulated. The effect of the mixer structures on the liquid film formation, the pressure drop, the flow and temperature distribution after the mixers and ultimately the NOx conversion efficiency are investigated. Results show that the liquid film is prone to form and accumulate at the connection region between the mixer and exhaust pipe, and liquid film tends to develop with the flow direction. Mixer 2 and Mixer 4 shows smaller liquid film area about 15 cm2. The temperature distribution in four types of mixers shows negligible difference (within 4 °C). NH3 mass fraction distribution uniformity and pressure drop shows a trade-off relationship. For the vertical injection system, it is found Mixer 3 gets the worst NOx conversion efficiency, 57%, and Mixer 2 shows better NOx conversion efficiency, 78%. The alkali metal compounds released from high alkali fuels such as low-quality coal during thermal utilization can affect the normal operation of thermal equipment. Therefore, rapid online detection of alkali metal content in low-quality coal is of great significance for controlling alkali metal release during combustion. The alkali metal Na element is used as the detection object, and the mixed samples of graphite and sodium chloride powder with different ratios are used as experimental samples. The influencing factors of measuring Na element in samples using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) technology are studied. The impact of two signal strength calculation methods on signal stability is compared. The influence of experimental parameters on signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio is analyzed. The quantitative calculation models for Na element have been established. Research has shown that the characteristic spectral lines of Na element, Na I 588.995 nm and Na I 589.592 nm, are suitable as the main analytical spectral lines. Using the area intensity of the dual line characteristic spectral lines of Na element as the signal intensity can effectively improve signal stability. When the laser energy is 60 mJ and the delay time is 1 000 ns, the relative standard deviation of spectral signal intensity is low and the signal-to-noise ratio is high. The quantitative calculation models are established using traditional calibration method, partial least squares (PLS) method, and support vector machine (SVR) with spectral signal intensity as the input and Na element addition in the sample as the output. The accuracy of each model is compared and analyzed. The results indicate that the PLS model may exhibit overfitting when the sample size is small and the input quantity is large. The fitting accuracy of the SVR model is 0.978 3, the root mean square percentage error of the training set is 13.42%, and the root mean square percentage error of the test set is 13.51

Experimental Study on Frost Crystal Morphologies and Frosting Characteristics Under Different Working Pressures

Frost usually grows on the cooling surface of heat transfer equipment which often operates under different working pressures. In such conditions, one of the fundamental influencing factors of frosting, the diffusion coefficient of water vapor around the cooling surface is different from that in the normal atmosphere pressure. In order to investigate the pressure effect on frosting, a test rig for frosting visualization is designed. The role of working pressure around the cooling surface on the frost crystal morphologies and frost layer characteristics are evaluated under different air parameters and temperatures of cooling surface. The vertical growth and lateral distribution of frost crystals are related strongly to working pressure around the cooling surface. More frost crystal morphologies and faster growth rate of frost layer are presented at a lower pressure. The frost thickness, frost accumulation and density reduce with higher pressure. The dimensionless correlation of frost thickness is proposed considering working pressure around the cooling surface, humid air parameters, and temperature of cooling surface. © 2022, The Authors. The effect of optical cleaning method combined with laser speckle imaging(LSI)was discussed to improve the detection depth of LSI due to high scattering characteristics of skin,which limit its clinical application.A double-layer skin tissue model embedded with a single blood vessel was established,and the Monte Carlo method was used to simulate photon propagation under the action of light-permeating agent.808 nm semiconductor and 632.8 nm He–Ne lasers were selected to study the e®ect of optical clearing agents(OCAs)on photon deposition in *** show that the photon energy deposition density in the epidermis increases with the amount of tissue°uid replaced by *** with glucose solution,polyethylene glycol 400(PEG 400)and glycerol can considerably increase the average penetration depth of photons in the skin tissue,thereby raising the sampling depth of the *** the action of glycerol,PEG 400,and glucose,the average photon penetration depth is increased by 51.78%,51.06%,and 21.51%for 808nm,68.93%,67.94%,and 26.67%for 632.8 nm lasers,*** vivo experiment by dorsal skin chamber proves that glycerol can cause a substantial decrease in blood°ow rate,whereas PEG 400 can signicantly improve the capability of light penetration without a®ecting blood velocity,which exhibits considerable potential in the monitoring of blood°ow in skin tissues.

Numerical Investigation on the Radiation Performance of a Crisscross Liquid Droplet Radiator in Space Under Different Operating Conditions

Crisscross liquid droplet radiator (LDR) is a promising solution for the heat dissipation of large-power space structures. In this study, a three-dimensional steady numerical simulation of the radiation performance of crisscross LDR in space under different operating conditions was conducted. Significantly, the radiation interaction between adjacent droplet planes was introduced into the radiation model to accurately compute the energy radiated by the crisscross droplet sheet. Simulation results indicated the radiation performance of crisscross droplet sheet deteriorated with an increase in the nonuniformity of droplet planes arrangement and hence droplet planes uniformly arranged were required for a good crisscross LDR. Moreover, there existed a critical droplet sheet angle of 72° where the pressure disturbance frequency almost had no influence on the radiation performance of crisscross LDR. For certain pressure disturbance frequency, decreasing the droplet sheet angle can expand the available operational pressure difference range. The radiation performance of crisscross LDR with high initial droplet temperature was more sensitive to the changes in droplet sheet angle than that with low initial droplet temperature. Finally, the optimal working medium collocation scheme and droplet sheet configuration for crisscross liquid metal LDR were proposed. Given the lightweight and efficiency of crisscross liquid metal LDR, the collocation scheme of working medium including tin and lithium can be adopted and the droplet sheet angle should be designed as 15°. The present work can provide significant guidance for selecting suitable operating conditions for droplet generators to optimize the thermal design of a crisscross LDR. © 2022, The Authors. Fundamental investigations of the charged droplet evaporation are helpful in enhancing the cooling capability and advancing the electrostatic spray model, whereas the corresponding data with the highly volatile R134a under electric field is very scarce. In this work, an improved evaporation model accounting for the effects of the corona wind, Coulombic fission and electric force under the electric field was developed and validated to evaluate the importance of the electric field on the moving charged R134a droplet evaporation for the first time. Results demonstrated that the electrostatic field can improve the charged droplet evaporation by means of the heat and mass transfer enhancement by the corona wind and counteracting the drag force from air. The droplet lifetime was shortened by 20.8% (from 105.6 ms to 83.6 ms) when the applied voltage increased from 0 kV to 10 kV. Exponential decay in the charged droplet lifetime when the applied voltage increased was observed. © 2021 ICLASS 2021 - 15th Triennial International Conference on Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems.
