Neuromorphic computing vision is the most promising technological solution to overcome the arithmetic bottleneck in machine vision ***-in-one neuromorphic sensors have been attracting increased attention because they can integrate visual perception,processing,and memory functionalities into one single ***,the limited responsivity and data retention time of all-in-one neuromorphic sensors usually hinder their potential in multispectral machine vision,especially in the near-infrared(NIR)band which contains critical information for pattern ***,we demonstrate physisorption-assistant optoelectronic synaptic transistors based on Ta2NiSe5/SnS2 heterojunction,which present tunable synaptic functionality in broadband(375-1310 nm).We propose a strategy about the physisorption-assistant persistent photoconductivity(PAPPC)effect to effectively solve the problem in detecting and storing the NIR light *** this strategy,the responsivity and data retention time of our devices were significantly enhanced and prolonged in broadband from 375 to 1310 ***,the devices realize multilevel non-volatile optoelectronic memory through the modulation of several optical and back-gate signals to simulate emotion-controlled learning and memory processes,optical writing-electric erasing,and associative ***,we developed a simplified human visual system to simulate color-cognitive perception and memory *** approach offers a route for creating advanced all-in-one neuromorphic sensors and developing neuromorphic computing vision.

Magnesium implants have received widespread attention in orthopaedic ***,the mechanical degradation and concurrent inflammation caused by the rapid corrosion of Mg limits their *** this study,a kind of unique core-shell heterojunction CuS@PPy nanostructures was synthesized and then incorporated in polycaprolactone(PCL)to construct an intelligent coating(CuS@PPy/PCL)on micro-arc-oxidized Mg *** PCL-based coating can realize near-infrared(NIR)-driven antibacterial and controllable Mg dissolution according to different bone healing *** the beginning of bone remodelling,the coating exhibits promising antibacterial properties with 99.67%and 99.17%efficacy against *** and ***,respectively,thanks to the singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))and alkoxyl radicals(RO·)generated by the photodynamic effect of CuS@PPy heterojunction under low-power NIR light(1.5 W/cm^(2)).In the bone reparative stage,the PCL-based coating can maintain high corrosion resistance to meet the mechanical requirements of Mg implants in human body ***,after the complete rehabilitation of bones,through a high-power(2 W/cm^(2))NIR light,the PCL-based coating changed from an elastic to a viscous flow state(44.7℃)under the photothermal effects of CuS@PPy,leading to quick degradation of the PCL-based coating and following accelerating dissolution of the Mg implant(avoiding secondary surgery).Hopefully,this NIR-responsive coating may provide an innovative method for the antibacterial and controllable dissolution of Mg implants.

Enhanced influence of the North Atlantic Oscillation on winter snowfall in northern China since 2000

Because of the profound impacts of snowfall in northern China on the economy society and human lives,it is essential to understand the physical mechanisms behind the variability of snowfall in this *** on the observational and reanalysis data during 1961–2018,this study examines the relationship of winter snowfall over northern China with the North Atlantic Oscillation(NAO).The results show that their relationship experiences an interdecadal change around *** 2000–2018,the NAO is significantly and negatively correlated to winter snowfall in northern *** the NAO is in the negative phase,the East Asian subtropical jet and polar front jet tend to move northward and southward,respectively,concomitant with an anomalous cyclonic circulation from Lake Balkhash to Lake Baikal in the middle and lower *** an atmospheric background favors the increase of snowfall over northern China by empowering the interactions of cold air with moist airflows in the target ***,during 1981–1999,the association of the NAO with the above atmospheric circulations seems inconspicuous,thereby reducing its relation to winter snowfall in northern *** investigation suggests that the enhancement of the connection between the NAO and aforementioned atmospheric circulations may result from the westward displacement of the NAO southern center from the former period to the latter period.

In this paper, we present a data-driven robust model predictive control (DD-RMPC) method for pose tracking of redundant manipulators. Firstly, a MPC-based trajectory tracking framework is established, in which the joint limits at three different levels (angle, velocity, and acceleration) are satisfied. Secondly, to deal with the system model's uncertainty, accelerate the error convergence speed, and reduce tracking errors, a novel data-driven RMPC is proposed, in which the system's input-output data are used to compensate for the conservatism of the system. Finally, the simulation results on a seven degrees of freedoms (DOFs) redundant manipulator show that DD-RMPC provides a faster error convergence rate and achieves smaller pose tracking errors than that of the comparison methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Bug localization based on syntactical and semantic information of source code

The existing software bug localization models treat the source file as natural language, which leads to the loss of syntactical and structure information of the source file. A bug localization model based on syntactical and semantic information of source code is proposed. Firstly, abstract syntax tree(AST) is divided based on node category to obtain statement sequence. The statement tree is encoded into vectors to capture lexical and syntactical knowledge at the statement ***, the source code is transformed into vector representation by the sequence naturalness of the statement. Therefore,the problem of gradient vanishing and explosion caused by a large AST size is obviated when using AST to the represent source code. Finally, the correlation between bug reports and source files are comprehensively analyzed from three aspects of syntax, semantics and text to locate the buggy code. Experiments show that compared with other standard models, the proposed model improves the performance of bug localization, and it has good advantages in mean reciprocal rank(MRR), mean average precision(MAP) and Top N Rank.

The flourish of deep learning frameworks and hardware platforms has been demanding an efficient compiler that can shield the diversity in both software and hardware in order to provide application *** the existing deep learning compilers,TVM is well known for its efficiency in code generation and optimization across diverse hardware *** the meanwhile,the Sunway many-core processor renders itself as a competitive candidate for its attractive computational power in both scientific computing and deep learning *** paper combines the trends in these two ***,we propose swTVM that extends the original TVM to support ahead-of-time compilation for architecture requiring cross-compilation such as *** addition,we leverage the architecture features during the compilation such as core group for massive parallelism,DMA for high bandwidth memory transfer and local device memory for data locality,in order to generate efficient codes for deep learning workloads on *** experiment results show that the codes generated by swTVM achieve 1.79x improvement of inference latency on average compared to the state-of-the-art deep learning framework on Sunway,across eight representative *** work is the first attempt from the compiler perspective to bridge the gap of deep learning and Sunway processor particularly with productivity and efficiency in *** believe this work will encourage more people to embrace the power of deep learning and Sunwaymany-coreprocessor.

Development of a Four-Dimensional Diagnostic Analysis Model for Assessing Ensemble Forecast Uncertainty

Evaluating whether an ensemble prediction system(EPS) can accurately represent forecast uncertainty is a key aspect of model development and ensemble forecast applications. In this study, a four-dimensional diagnostic analysis model for assessing ensemble forecast uncertainty is proposed, by analyzing the relationship between the ensemble spread and root-mean-square error(RMSE) of the ensemble mean in terms of their temporal evolution(one-dimensional) and spatial distribution(three-dimensional), together with use of the linear variance calibration(LVC) *** on this model and the daily operational forecast data of the China Meteorological Administration(CMA) global EPS(CMA-GEPS) in December 2022–November 2023, characteristics of the CMA-GEPS forecast uncertainty are diagnosed and analyzed, and compared against the state-of-the-art operational global EPS of ECMWF. Generally,there is a deficiency in CMA-GEPS, which underestimates the forecast uncertainty, especially in the tropics. However, at certain initialization times in some seasons and over some locations, the spread appears greater than the RMSE, indicating an overestimation of forecast uncertainty. Moreover, CMA-GEPS performs better in capturing the forecast uncertainty of lower-level variables than upper-level variables; and in comparison with the mass and thermal fields, the forecast uncertainty of the dynamic field is better represented. Diagnostic analysis using the LVC method reveals that the relevance between the ensemble variance and the ensemble mean error variance of CMA-GEPS increases with forecast lead time, and the problem of underestimated forecast uncertainty is continuously alleviated. In addition, ECMWF EPS behaves distinctly better than CMA-GEPS in representing the forecast uncertainty and its growth process, the reasons for which are discussed and elucidated from the perspective of shortcomings in the methods to generate the initial and model perturbations, the ensemble size, and the f

Uptrend of the Western North Pacific Tropical Cyclone Outflow Height during 1959-2021

Relatively little is known about the impact of global warming on the tropical cyclone(TC)outflow,despite its large contribution to TC *** this study,based on the International Best Track Archive for Climate Stewardship(IBTrACS)dataset and ERA5 reanalysis data,we show that the TC outflow height has risen significantly(48.20±22.18 m decades-1)in the past decades(1959-2021)over the western North Pacific,and the rising trend tends to be sharper for stronger TCs(the uptrend of severe typhoon is 61.09±40.92 m decades-1).This rising trend of the outflow height explains the contradiction between the decrease trend of the TC outflow temperature and the increase trend of the atmospheric troposphere ***,possible contribution of the TC outflow height uptrend to TC intensity has also been *** results show that the rise of outflow height leads to the decrease of outflow temperature,and thus an increased difference between underlying sea surface temperature(SST)and TC outflow temperature,which eventually favors the increase of TC intensity.

Dear editor,Due to visual impairment and lack of social attention,the reading problem of the blind has not been well *** existing Braille reading devices still have many problems and are not accepted by the *** paper developed a portable Braille reading system based on electrotactile display *** proposed system is composed of a six-channel electrotactile stimulator,a flexible electrode array for Braille display and a graphical user interface(GUI)for monitoring and *** on the flexibility of the system,two Braille reading strategies have been designed:spatial mode and sequential *** system was preliminary tested by six sighted *** results showed that subjects were able to recognize Braille characters with more than 80%accuracy within less than 10 seconds for the initial *** to existing Braille reading systems,this system is portable,wearable and flexible in control.
