A Two-Step Approach for Multi-topology Identification and Parameter Estimation of Power Distribution Networks

To improve observability in power distribution networks(PDN),a two-step framework of multi-topology identification and parameter estimation is proposed in this ***,in the first step,a mixed-integer linear program(MILP)model-based split method is proposed to recognize mixed topologies in a multi-record dataset without a prerequisite on the number of topology categories and values of nodal voltage phase *** the second step,line parameters and nodal voltage phase angles are estimated using the Newton-Raphson method based on nodal measurements of real and reactive power injections,as well as voltage ***,a modified estimation model is proposed to apply to the multitopology ***,case studies on an IEEE 33-bus system illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed models in identifying the PDN’s topologies,as well as estimating line parameters and voltage phase angles.

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is capable of producing high-resolution complex-valued pictures, which have extensive applications in both civil and military domains. Among these applications, SAR electronic countermeasures currently represent a prominent area of research interest. Presently, within the radar electronic countermeasures, there exists a diminishing disparity among the features of real and false targets, rendering the detection of jamming increasingly challenging. This paper examines the phase of SAR images and presents a method for identifying SAR jamming regions based on phase features. The initial step involves organizing the cluttered phase information into neighborhood phase differences. Subsequently, this information is coupled with the amplitude to obtain the weighted phase difference. This metric effectively captures the extent of phase distortion resulting from jamming. The findings from the simulation experiment demonstrate that the proposed feature and method are capable of accurately identifying and filtering out the jamming region in SAR pictures. Furthermore, it demonstrates the prospection of phase within the SAR image interpretation and electronic countermeasures. © 2024 SPIE.

Perovskite solar cells（PSCs） are promising in the field of photovoltaics but are hindered by surface defects and ***,the energetic losses occurring at the interfaces between the perovskite and the charge transport layers often lead to reduced power conversion efficiency（PCE）.Surface treatment is an effective strategy but the passivating ligands usually bind with a single active *** resulted dense packing of resistive passivators perpendicular to the surface is detrimental to charge ***,we present a passivator that can bind to two neighboring lead（Ⅱ） ion(Pb2+) defect sites simultaneously with an aligned parallel mode to the perovskite surface,effectively suppressing the surface trap density and preventing the *** target device fulfills a PCE of 25.1% and maintains over 85% of the initial efficiency after 800 h of exposure to a relative humidity（RH） of 65% ± 5%.

A noncontact robot demonstration method with human supervision

The widely used kinesthetic demonstration method of dragging robotic manipulators cannot obtain reliable information for autonomous robot manipulation because an additional external force rather than pure contact force will be reflected on the force sensor in end-constrained manipulation tasks. Therefore, a noncontact robot demonstration method with human supervision is proposed to avoid external influence. A human demonstrator sends motion commands by mouse and observes force data reflected in a monitor to protect the robotic manipulator. Simultaneously, the human demonstrator supervises the positionorientation relationship between the end-effector and the manipulated object. The wrench insertion task is adopted to illustrate the advantage of the proposed method. A contact model is established according to demonstration data acquired from the proposed demonstration method, and an orientation adjustment strategy is verified. The strategy verification experiment illustrates not only the effectiveness of the simplified contact model and corresponding strategy but also the advantage of the proposed demonstration method.

Vection, an illusion of self-motion induced by visual stimulus frequently experienced in virtual reality, significantly impacts user experiences in gaming, driving simulation, and rehabilitation training. User often experience circular vection, an illusion of self-rotation. However, the effects of visual rotation axes and rotation directions on circular vection remain elusive. We employ a 3 (rotation axis: sagittal, coronal, vertical) × 2 (rotation direction: clockwise, counterclockwise) repeated-measures design. Twenty participants were recruited. They were exposed to a virtual visual rotating drum at 60 °/s to induce circular vection. The real-time estimation of perceived self-motion rotation velocity (PSRV) was obtained. Results indicated that during the 30-second constant rotation, the group-level PSRV showed an initial rapid increase followed by a slower rise. A significant interaction effect between rotation axis and direction was revealed. The rotation direction showed no significant effect on PSRV under sagittal and vertical conditions. However, under coronal condition, the PSRV was significantly higher when rotating counterclockwise, compared to rotation clockwise. In addition, when rotating counterclockwise, the highest PSRV appeared under sagittal condition, with the lowest under the coronal condition and the middle under the vertical condition. These findings provide valuable insights for designing VR scenarios with better user experience by vection manipulation. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Magnetic Actuated Shape-memory Helical Microswimmers with Programmable Recovery Behaviors

Fabrication of a biomimetic controllable adhesive surface by ultraprecision multistep and layered scribing and casting molding

Wedge-shaped microstructures have the ability to reproduce the excellent adhesive properties of geckos’feet because of their unique anisotropic *** particular,the controllability of the wedge-shaped microstructures on adhesion is beneficial to the undisturbed grasp or the capture of space ***,the problem currently remains of how to process it efficiently and with high *** a strategy called ultraprecision multistep and layered scribing is proposed for the manufacture of the biomimetic controllable adhesive *** results show that the metal master mold prepared based on the manufacturing strategy has not only good surface topography but also high reliability and ***,the controllable adhesive surface of 1.96 cm2,fabricated by the proposed manufacturing strategy,has a normal adhesion of 1.012 N,and the corresponding shear friction and adhesion coefficient are 3.105 N and 4.82,***,the controllable adhesive surface has been shown to be approximately superhydrophobic and also to possess the properties of controllable adhesion and dynamic ***,after 250 adhesion-detachment cycles,the normal adhesion and shear friction only decrease by 5%and 3%,*** research realizes an environmentally friendly and efficient method by which to manufacture a durable metal mold for fabricating a biomimetic controllable adhesive surface,laying a foundation for its effective application in the adherence of space-floating targets.
