Because of the poor geographical environment of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the catenary is vulnerable to strike by lightning. At the same time, as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway is laid on the bridge, the probability of lightning striking the rail increases with the bridge rising. As a result, the rail transient potential rises which seriously threatens the safety of equipment and personnel along the railway. Based on the engineering situation of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, this paper establishes a lightning catenary simulation model by the elec-tromagnetic transient simulation software ATP-EMTP. By combining the Elecrto-geometric Model(EGM), we analyzes the lightning withstand level of the catenary at different elevations and bridge heights. We also analyzes the influence of lightning current waveform and rail grounding resistance on rail transient potential when lightning strikes the rail. The simulation results show that the lightning withstand level of the catenary meets the requirements of regulations, and reducing the steepness of lightning current and rail ground resistance can effectively restrain the rise of rail transient potential. © 2020 IEEE.

How does the urban spatial landscape(USL)pattern affect the land surface urban heat islands(SUHIs)and canopy urban heat islands(CUHIs)?Based on satellite and meteorological observations,this case study compares the impacts of the USL pattern on SUHI and CUHI in the central urban area(CUA)of Beijing using the satellite land-surface-temperature product and hourly temperature data from automatic meteorological stations from 2009 to *** USL metrics—building height(BH),building density(BD),standard deviation of building height(BSD),floor area ratio(FAR),frontal area index(FAI),roughness length(RL),sky view factor(SVF),urban fractal dimension(FD),vegetation coverage(VC),impervious coverage(IC),and albedo(AB)—with a 500-m spatial resolution in the CUA are extracted for comparative *** results show that SUHI is higher than CUHI at night,and SUHI is only consistent with CUHI at spatial-temporal scales at night,particularly in ***,all 11 metrics are strongly correlated with both the SUHI and CUHI at night,with stronger correlation between most metrics and ***,AB,and SVF have the greatest impact on both the SUHI and *** SUHI and CUHI values tend to appear in areas with BD≥0.26,VC≤0.09,AB≤0.09,and SVF≤*** summer,most metrics have a greater impact on the SUHI than CUHI;the opposite is observed in *** variation is affected primarily by VC in summer and by VC and AB in winter,which is different for the CUHI *** collective contribution of all 11metrics to SUHI spatial variation in summer(61.8%)is higher than that to CUHI;however,the opposite holds in winter and for the entire year,where the cumulative contribution of the factors accounts for 66.6%and 49.6%,respectively,of the SUHI variation.

This paper proposes a analysis method of peak shaving demand for power grid, and analyzes the impact of wind power grid connection on power system peak shaving under different wind power permeability, and analysis the operational characteristics of energy storage assisted peak shaving to compare different energy storage systems. Finally, in order to facilitate the implementation and observation of the analysis results, a visual simulation platform was built. The results of the example show that the method described in this paper can accurately analyze the peaking shaving demand under different wind power permeability. At the same time, the total yield of lithium iron phosphate battery is the highest in the choice of energy storage type, which is 497 million yuan/year. All-vanadium redox flow batteries may benefit more than lithium iron phosphate batteries in the future due to battery characteristics. Finally, the visualization platform is true and effective and can fully express the method described in this paper. © 2020 IEEE.

Human activity recognition (HAR) has become an important research field in pervasive computing and has attracted extensive attention from researchers at home and abroad. However, traditional recognition methods rely heavily on artificial feature extraction, which greatly affects the generalization ability of the model. Therefore, this paper designs a deep learning model based on wavelet transform and convolution neural networks. Firstly, the waveform data of multi-channel sensor is decomposed into low-frequency and high-frequency components by wavelet transform (WT) after window sliding segmentation, which are combined as the input data of network model. Then, convolution neural networks with different convolution kernels are used to extract multidimensional features efficiently, and the max-pooling layers are used to filter the interference noise caused by human unconscious jitter. Finally, through the output classification of full connection layer, the accurate recognition of human activity state is realized. In order to verify the effectiveness of the designed model, we evaluate the performance of the model from the convergence speed, loss and accuracy of the model, and compare it with the more advanced recognition model on the public dataset of OPPORTUNITY. Finally, the proposed architecture Wavelet-CNN achieves 91.65% F-measure and has higher activity recognition ability.

—Image segmentation is a technique to segment the image into particular regions which are consistent in some specific characteristics. It is still a non-trivial task to segment the foreground from the background completely, as these regions are seldom uniform in color or texture which are defined as commonly-used low-level features adopted in the traditional techniques. In this work we present a new segmentation framework by employing the semantic information, which is classified as the high-level visual features and holds important clue to indicate the foreground from the background. Firstly, the image is segmented hierarchically by using the semantic edge constraint, and the result is represented as an Ultrametric Contour Map (UCM). Then the UCM is employed in the segmentation energy function as the data term and smoothness term. Finally, the optimal segmentation labels are obtained via the Graph-cut. Experiments achieve good performance testing on the MSRC 21 dataset. © 2018 IEEE

For decades, micro-EDM has made a great contribution to the miniaturization of products owing to its suitableness for processing surface micro features. However, micro-EDM is usually not considered as a primary option for the manufacture of micro 3D suspended structures. Even though this could be done by making special electrodes or by generating unusual feed paths, the whole process is complex and time-consuming. To cope with these difficulties, with a combination of micro-EDM and micro galvanoplasty, a novel hybrid 3D micro-manufacturing method named manufacture integrating galvanoplasty and electrical discharge (MIGED) is proposed. With the use of MIGED, a target micro component is fabricated layer-by-layer just like 3D printing. During the fabrication process for each layer, micro galvanoplasty is applied to deposit all materials, such as copper and nickel, micro-EDM milling is used to machine the layer's pattern and block electrical discharge grinding is used for surface planarization. To support the deposition of suspended structures, a certain sacrificial material, such as copper, is introduced and removed after all layers are formed. Feasibility of MIGED was testified on a modified EDM/ECM combined machine. To study the 3D micro-manufacturing capability, a manufacturing test for suspended bridges was carried out. Two micr an'do bridges with a size of 400μm×100μm×50μm and 400μm×100μm×100μm respectively are manufactured and dimensional accuracy is discussed. © 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. Vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs) are commonly used to switch shunt reactive power equipment in distribution networks. There are many stochastic factors in the switching process of the VCBs, which results in a statistical distribution of the switching overvoltage under a large number of switching operations. The parameters of the traditional circuit breaker models are usually fixed, so it is difficult to evaluate and track the overvoltage risk under daily switching. In order to solve this problem, considering multi stochastic factors in the switching process, a 10kV circuit breaker switching model modified based on measured data is established in MATLAB. Using the modeling method proposed in this paper, the model parameters can be constantly corrected by the measured data to improve the accuracy of the simulation results. Finally, it can be used to track and analysis the risks of switching overvoltage. © 2020 IEEE.

With the construction of the dispatching and control cloud platform, more and more dispatching applications need to rely on the model data of the cloud for function realization. The dispatching and control cloud uses the methods of unified modeling and integrated model maintenance to construct cloud models with unique coding, unique properties and unique parameters. In view of the differences between the storage form of the dispatching and control cloud model and the model form required for the dispatching applications, this paper proposes an application-oriented model management method on dispatching and control cloud, which can help the applications to define the model structure on demand, subscribe the cloud model data, save the historical model versions required for the application, and make cloud model support the dispatching applications. © 2020 IEEE.

Guaranteeing the Quality of Service (QoS) in a mobile satellite network is an important issue. Existing QoS service models either cannot provide scalable bandwidth resource reservation capabilities or cannot provide a strict QoS guarantee in a fine-grained manner. In this paper, we propose a Satellite networks Resource ReSerVation mechanism (SRSV) based on segment routing: the global bandwidth resource information of the network is maintained by a centralized controller, and the end-to-end services paths are specified by segment routing. By planning the global bandwidth resources by the controller and limiting the access bandwidth rate of the service to a specific value at the ingress node, the corresponding bandwidth resource reservation for the service can be realized. Finally, we evaluate SRSV from the perspective of configuration overhead and delay in taking effect of configuration and verify that SRSV has better performance than existing mechanisms.

Security vulnerabilities caused by information leakage are a critical aspect of the security for information systems. Such vulnerabilities can be identified by non-interference analysis. Strong nondeterministic non-interference (SNNI) and bisimulation SNNI (BSNNI) are the typical properties of non-interference. Existing works related to non-interference analysis are mainly based on the setting with only two security levels. Such setting is coarse-grained compared to the real system. In this paper, we analyze the non-interference with multiple security levels by integer linear programming. Obviously, the non-interference with multiple security levels is more fine-grained but more complex than that with only two security levels. On the perspective of complexity, we provide the general and simplified non-interference analyses in turn for multilevel SNNI and BSNNI which are defined on the concepts of upper sets. The general analysis is derived from the definitions of multilevel SNNI and BSNNI, and solve the identification problem of multilevel SNNI and BSNNI directly. By analyzing and removing the impact of upper sets' coverability, the simplified analysis reduces the redundancy and improves the efficiency in the analysis process.
