The flight forbidden area (FFA) in convective weather is an important information resource for aviation. Using the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN), convex hull function in OpenCV library and other methods, the generation and verification of FFA in convective weather based on real weather and trajectory data are proposed in this study. Four relationship classes between flight trajectories and FFA are defined and eight examples are conducted to investigate the impact of radar reflectivity threshold and safety margin on the accuracy of FFA. Judging from the results, 40 dBZ is a better radar reflectivity threshold for the generation of FFA in convective weather, as the proportion of samples that fly outside of FFA with 40 dBZ is higher than that with 35 dBZ, and the proportion of samples that fly inside of FFA with 40 dBZ is lower than that with 35 dBZ. In addition, the accuracy of FFA decreases rapidly with the increasing of safety margin and it is suggested that the safety margin should range from 7 to 15 km to get a more realistic FFA. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Soft robotic gloves can not only provide timely, effective, safe and cheap rehabilitation training for patients with impaired movement function of hand, but also assist in completing daily grasping activities. However, most soft robotic gloves are completely composed of flexible structures. Although they have high flexibility and safety, there are problems such as poor fit and low output force. In order to solve these problems, this paper refers to the structure of the human hand and designs an articulated rigid-soft hybrid robotic glove, which combines the advantages of rigid robotic gloves and soft robotic gloves, and has high flexibility, high output force and good fit. In addition, soft robotic gloves generally lack the ability to sense the force between the human hand and the glove. Therefore, this paper designed an array flexible force sensor, and studied the structure, signal acquisition and preparation process of the sensor. Finally, a complete test platform was built to test the performance of the rigid-soft hybrid robotic glove with force sensing function. The test results show that the robotic glove has good fit and high output force, can effectively assist training and assist grasping, and can perceive the contact force.

Synchronous condensers(SCs)are generally used at the receiving-end stations of ultra-high-voltage direct current(UHVDC)transmission systems due to their strong reactive power support and flexible regulation of reactive power according to the interconnected grids operating *** this paper,different starting control schemes of a SC integrated power grid are investigated providing four main contributions:1)The principle of reactive power support of the SC on the interconnected power grid is analytically studied,providing the establishment of mathematical models.2)Four different starting control schemes are developed for the initialization and SC integration,*** Scheme 1,a preset initial falling speed is directly utilized without initialization;in Scheme 2,a black start sequential control approach with a static frequency converter(SFC)is proposed;in Scheme 3,PI/PD/PID controllers are respectively applied for the excitation device at the speed-falling stage;in Scheme 4,a pre-insertion approach of an energy absorption component with R/L/RL is utilized to suppress the surges at the SC integration instant.3)The dynamic behaviors of four different starting schemes at specific operating stages are evaluated.4)The success rate of SC integration is analyzed to evaluate starting control *** of the SC interconnected system with four different starting control schemes is evaluated in the timedomain simulation environment PSCAD/EMTDC^(TM).The results prove the superiority of the proposed starting control approach in Scheme 4.

Vision language models (VLMs) have achieved impressive progress in diverse applications, becoming a prevalent research direction. In this paper, we build FIRE, a feedback-refinement dataset, consisting of 1.1M multi-turn conversations that are derived from 27 source datasets, empowering VLMs to spontaneously refine their responses based on user feedback across diverse tasks. To scale up the data collection, FIRE is collected in two components: FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, where FIRE-100K is generated by GPT-4V, and FIRE-1M is freely generated via models trained on FIRE-100K. Then, we build FIRE-Bench, a benchmark to comprehensively evaluate the feedback-refining capability of VLMs, which contains 11K feedback-refinement conversations as the test data, two evaluation settings, and a model to provide feedback for VLMs. We develop the FIRE-LLaVA model by fine-tuning LLaVA on FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, which shows remarkable feedback-refining capability on FIRE-Bench and outperforms untrained VLMs by 50%, making more efficient user-agent interactions and underscoring the significance of the FIRE dataset. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. state estimation (SE) in smart grids relies on accurate models and measurement data. Traditional methods struggle with computational complexity and adaptability to topological changes. As smart grids evolve, the nodes and transmission lines form a natural graph structure, enabling the use of graph convolutional networks (GCN). Recent advancements in artificial intelligence, such as recurrent neural networks (RNN), convolutional neural networks (CNN), and long short-term memory net- works (LSTM), enhance state estimation by utilizing time series data. This paper presents a multi-layer spatio-temporal graph convolutional network (STGCN) model that integrates spatial and temporal convolution to capture spatiotemporal characteristics. The model includes multiple spatiotemporal convolution blocks, each with two time-gated convolution layers and one spatial graph convolution layer, facilitating high-precision state estimation. Experiments on the IEEE 39-bus system demonstrate that the STGCN model improves estimation accuracy and reduces computation time compared to traditional methods. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we present a new approach to estimate the pose of an object being manipulated by a multi-fingered robotic hand. The method utilizes advanced tactile sensors with high spatial resolution to optimize the estimation of the object's pose using an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) based approach. We defined and derived the state and measurement equations, as well as evaluated the estimation accuracy in grasping tasks. The approach is able to effectively account for the pose transition caused by tactile pushing, and the mapping from the object's pose to the contact position and normal direction as measured by the tactile sensor. The method was evaluated in multiple grasping experiments in simulation scenarios. Results show that the estimation can converge towards the ground truth in a relatively short period of time, with displacement and rotation errors remaining within acceptable levels. This new method has the potential to improve the accuracy and reliability of robotic grasping and manipulation tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

The Global Navigation Satellite system(GNSS)has been widely used in various *** achieve positioning,the receiver must first lock the satellite *** is a complicated and expensive process that consumes a lot of resources of the *** this reason,this paper proposes a new fast acquisition algorithm with High Signal-tonoise ratio(SNR)performance based on sparse fast Fourier transform(HSFFT).The algorithm first replaces the IFFT process of the traditional parallel code phase capture algorithm with inverse sparse fast Fourier transform(ISFFT)with better computing performance,and then uses linear search combined with code phase discrimination to replace the positioning loop and the estimation loop with poor noise immunity in *** analysis and simulation results show that,compared with the existing SFFT parallel code phase capture algorithm,the calculation amount of this algorithm is reduced by 19%,and the SNR performance is improved by about *** with the classic FFT parallel code phase capture algorithm,the calculation amount of the algorithm in this paper is reduced by 43%,and when the capture probability is greater than 95%,the SNR performance of the two is approximately the same.

In order to improve the sensitivity and accuracy of oil‐paper insulation partial discharge detection by the fibre‐optic Fabry-Perot(FP)ultrasonic sensor,this work studied the ultrasonic signal’s frequency characteristics of typical oil‐paper insulation partial dis-charges and the vibration characteristics of the FP sensor’s diaphragm in the liquid *** on the works above,a multifrequency FP sensor array is proposed,consisting of several FP sensors with different resonant frequencies to detect partial *** experimental results show that the liquid environment has a significant effect on the vibration characteristics of the FP sensor’s diaphragm,and the sensitivity and accuracy of partial discharge detection can be improved based on the multifrequency FP sensing array,which can also be applied in the pattern recognition and localisation of partial discharges.
