This paper presents control methods for hybrid AC/DC microgrid under islanding operation *** control schemes for AC sub-microgrid and DC sub-microgrid are investigated according to the power sharing requirement and operational *** addition,the key control schemes of interlinking converter with DC-link capacitor or energy storage,which will devote to the proper power sharing between AC and DC sub-microgrids to maintain AC and DC side voltage stable,is *** the specific control methods developed for AC and DC sub-microgrids with interlinking converter,the whole hybrid AC/DC microgrid can manage the power flow transferred between sub-microgrids for improving on the operational quality and efficiency.

In this paper, a longitudinal moment Markov chain model of wind power time series based on the longitudinal time concept is proposed. This model emphasizes the transition characteristics related to different moments by providing a set of transition probabilities matrices. This matrices set, describing the inherent transition information of moments, gives the necessary probabilistic conditions for optimization decision of power systems containing wind farm. Besides of rapid calculation as conventional Markov chain model has, the proposed model makes the transition information more detailed and accurate. To illustrate the effect of improvement, a wind power prediction (WPP) method on ultra-short-term horizon using the longitudinal moment Markov chain model is put forward. The case study based on actual wind power data under multiple time scales shows that the proposed method achieves a higher prediction precision.

In order to verify the short-circuit current characteristics of wind farms and the effects on power grids due to the large scale wind farms integration at Rongcheng substation, Shandong Electric Power Company organized the three phase and single phase short circuit tests on Jun 12~(th), 2014. By using the field tests data got from the digital fault recorder, the short-circuit current characteristics of different types of wind turbines are compared. The wind turbine's contributions of the Squirrel Cage Induction Generator (SCIG), Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) to the system short-circuit current are analyzed in detail. In addition, the short-circuit current characteristics of wind farms are summarized and deeply understood from the field tests data. With the analysis results, the Shandong Rongcheng wind farms short-circuit field tests will have a very good reference and directive significance to the large scale wind power centralized integration of the actual power grids.

Blind image quality assessment (BIQA) aims to predict perceptual image quality scores without access to reference images. state-of-the-art BIQA methods typically require subjects to score a large number of images to train a robust model. However, subjective quality scores are imprecise, biased, and inconsistent, and it is challenging to obtain a large-scale database, or to extend existing databases, because of the inconvenience of collecting images, training the subjects, conducting subjective experiments, and realigning human quality evaluations. To combat these limitations, this paper explores and exploits preference image pairs (PIPs) such as the quality of image Iais better than that of image Ibfor training a robust BIQA model. The preference label, representing the relative quality of two images, is generally precise and consistent, and is not sensitive to image content, distortion type, or subject identity;such PIPs can be generated at a very low cost. The proposed BIQA method is one of learning to rank. We first formulate the problem of learning the mapping from the image features to the preference label as one of classification. In particular, we investigate the utilization of a multiple kernel learning algorithm based on group lasso to provide a solution. A simple but effective strategy to estimate perceptual image quality scores is then presented. Experiments show that the proposed BIQA method is highly effective and achieves a performance comparable with that of state-of-the-art BIQA algorithms. Moreover, the proposed method can be easily extended to new distortion categories. © 2012 IEEE.

In order to achieve the function of measuring friction on contacting surface between wafer and manipulator in real time, in this paper, we mainly measured the resolution and precision of the three dimension force sensor based on piezoresistive conductive ink. Resolution of tangential force improves with preload in normal direction increasing and the maximum resolution is less than 0.025 N with 0.8 N preload. Maximum error is about 30.62% because of low tangential stiffness of elastomer. The experiment results indicate that this sensor has characteristics of small volume, high flexibility and high resolution, which is prospective for using in wafer transfer system with improvement of higher precision in the future. © 2014 IEEE.

SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is a basic infrastructure of modern power systems. SCADA data are widely used in applications such as state estimation, power flow calculation, and on-line security assessment. The accuracy of the SCADA data directly affects the implementation of power system automatic control. In practice, the error of the SCADA data may deviate from its factory precision due to the influence of the equipment aging, data transmission and so on. To quantitatively evaluate the validity of the SCADA data, a consistency index is defined in this paper. Some SCADA data from several substations of a power gird is checked with the consistency index to reveal its reliability.

In order to ensure the security buffer of the 6-UPS space docking mechanism, real-time control based on contact force is needed. In this paper, a highly effective Cartesian impedance control method based on the feedback signal from 6 force sensors is presented, and a brief introduction to the mechanical structure of the 6-UPS docking mechanism and the control structure of the docking system is given. According to the data analysis of ground experiment, this control method can tremendously improve the buffer effect in the docking stage with the parameters optimized in Simulink. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Most of separating operations for solar panels have been achieved by utilizing explosive bolt nowadays. However, with the development of space technology, especially when new generations of small satellites start to emerge, traditional pyrotechnical products cannot provide spacecrafts with satisfied performance, since the fierce shock and contamination are not avoidable. Thus, developing novel types of non-pyrotechnical actuators has become the research focus for release mechanism. In this paper, we propose to adopt the memory effect of the shape memory alloy (SMA) for developing release devices. Brinson theory has been chosen as the theoretical foundation of performance analysis. This new type of mechanism mitigates the problem of shock and contamination, meanwhile possessing several excellent advantages such as compact volume, quick response, outstanding synchronism and reusability. © 2014 IEEE.

Being the most important component of minimally invasive surgical robot system, remote centre mechanisms (RCM) composed of three joints, achieve the position and orientation adjustment of the surgical instrument inside a patient's body. In order to implement the high-precision position control and eliminate the adverse effect result from the friction of RCM's joints, in this paper, a fuzzy sliding mode controller with the friction compensation is designed. The result of simulation and experiment show that the controller designed can provide a trajectory tracking with real-time, high-precision performance and strong robustness.
