In high-voltage equipment such as high-power microwave instruments, flashover accident is considered permanent damage that can cause this point to become a system insulation weakness. The material repair process can repair the insulation performance of this point in a targeted manner so that the equipment parts can be exempted from large-scale replacement, which increases the life of the equipment and reduces the maintenance cost. However, the existing repair methods rely on the modification of raw materials, and it is difficult to both have convenience and cost-effectiveness, and it is not conducive to the performance of specific functions, which may not be suitable for flashover damage repair. Here, we use the method of plasma spraying to achieve the surface repair of the material damaged by the flashover and realize the improvement of the insulation performance after the flashover. The SiO2 particles and reactive oxygen species generated by the plasma jet treatment of air and tetraethyl orthosilicate are deposited on the surface of polystyrene (PS) with the airflow, oxidizing the surface carbon and covering the ablated surface with a layer of SiO2 to achieve recovery The purpose of PS surface insulation capacity after flashover. The repair performance of the surface after flashover and after the repair was analyzed by electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and flashover tests. This research method can finally improve the surface dielectric strength of the dielectric material after flashover by 18.2%, which provides a new idea for the repair of insulating materials. © 2022 IEEE.

High-voltage square-wave nanosecond pulse generator has a broad application prospect in the fields of atmosphericn low-temperature plasma, biomedicine and power equipment detection. Pulse forming line is an effective way to realize high-voltage square-wave nanosecond pulse output. However, the existing technology is difficult to coordinate the contradiction between the fixed physical size of pulse forming line and the adjustable pulse width. To solve this problem, in this paper, a new multi-switch inductor energy storage forming line topology is proposed, and the time-space transmission process of electromagnetic waves in the transmission line is regulated by double switches, so as to realize the modulation of output pulse width. Based on the wave process analysis and multi-switch sequential logic control theory, the pulse width modulation method is analyzed, and the simulation verifies that the new topology has the capability of pulse width adjustment. The experimental results show that the proposed new type pulse generator can realize square wave short pulse output with rising time of 6 ns, adjustable pulse width of 9-20ns, repetition frequency of 200kHz and voltage amplitude of 5 kV. © 2022 IEEE.

Nano-grid (NG) clusters (NGCs) have the potential to act as an essential structure for future low-voltage distribution networks. To address the power loss problem and improve the energy efficiency of the NGC, this paper proposes an energy optimization management strategy based on the cluster loss model. First, according to the basic architecture of NGC, we derive the equivalent circuit model to clarify the power flow relationship among autonomous NGs. Then, the cluster loss model considering the distribution line loss and interconnected converter loss is established. And an energy optimization management strategy is proposed to optimize the energy flow mechanism based on ensuring the balance of energy supply and demand. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed energy management strategy, a comparative analysis of the loss distribution is carried out under different working conditions. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy can minimize the power loss of the NGC by optimizing the energy sharing between autonomous NGs. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes a temperature monitoring method for press pack insulated gate bipolar transistor (PP-IGBT) based on digital twin (DT). Firstly, a temperature monitoring method for PP-IGBT based on DT is proposed. Secondly, the PP-IGBT DT for temperature monitoring is constructed. Finally, the performance of the PP-IGBT DT is analyzed and compared to the existing temperature monitoring method for PP-IGBT. Unlike the conventional temperature monitoring method for PP-IGBT, the proposed method realises a comprehensive monitoring of the temperature of PP-IGBT device, making it have great application potential in device temperature monitoring and reliability evaluation. © 2022 IEEE.

Glacier temperature and structure can provide essential constraints for glacier change assessment. Traditional observed methods are mainly based on thermometers and ground penetrating radars, limited by sparse observations. We developed a kind of fiber-optic temperature sensor (Brillouin optical time domain analysis, BOTDA) and fiber-optic seismometer array (FOSA), which can realize high-resolution and multi-year continuous observations. We firstly conducted an experiment for the application of the fiber-optic sensors on the Kuoqionggangri glacier in the Tibetan Plateau. The BOTDA was buried in the ice and hang in the air to measure temperature changes, and successfully recording the ice surface temperature change. The FOSA was installed with seismic channel interval of 1 m buried in ice, and 10 m on ice surface, which clearly recorded the seismic wave signals of background noise, hammer hitting and people walking. Through analyzing the seismic waves induced by the hammer hitting, we obtained the ice-rock interface depth with a value of about 40 m. Moreover, there is a low-velocity layer with large S-wave velocity drop of 28% and thickness of about 7 m in depth of 30 m within the glacier interior. We inferred that the abnormally low velocity layer may be caused by stagnant water of the intergranular veins formed during the transition from snow to ice. This observation provides new evidence for the existence of the water-rich layer in the Tibetan Plateau, implying a new insight for evaluating glacier change. © 2022 IEEE.

A classic kind of researches about the operational safety criterion for dynamic systems with barrier function can be roughly summarized as functional relationship,denoted by⊕,between the barrier function and its first derivative for time t,where⊕can be“=”,“<”,or“>”,*** article draws on the form of the stable condition expression for finite time stability to formulate a novel kind of relaxed safety judgement criteria called exponential-alpha safety ***,we initially explore to use the control barrier function under exponential-alpha safety criteria to achieve the control for the dynamic system operational *** addition,derived from the actual process systems,we propose multi-hypersphere methods which are used to construct barrier functions and improved them for three types of special spatial relationships between the safe state set and the unsafe state set,where both of them can be spatially divided into multiple *** the effectiveness of the proposed safety criteria are demonstrated by simulation examples.

The electromagnetic environment under the lines has become an important factor restricting the development of transmission lines. This paper takes a 750kV four-circuit AC transmission lines on the same tower as an example, calculates the power frequency electric field under the lines based on the simulated charge method, build the calculation models of power frequency electric field under different line parameters, analyzes the distribution of power frequency electric field under the influence of different line parameters. The results show that changing the phase sequence arrangement can reduce the power frequency electric field intensity under the line by up to 11.8%, and the field intensity can be reduced by up to 9.4% for each additional meter of the wire height. The increase in the number of wire splits and the split spacing will increase the field intensity under the line, while the influence of the change in the diameter of the sub-conductor on the field intensity is negligible. The research results can provide guidance and suggestions for circuit design. © 2022 IEEE.

Physiological tremors of surgeons’ hands bring vibration to the tip of surgical instruments, which may severely damage the accuracy of surgical procedures and even put patients’ lives at risk. Thus robot-assisted surgery using a teleoperation system was introduced to solve this problem. Many filter algorithms were implemented into the robot-assisted surgery system to suppress the inevitable tremors, but always overlooking the traits of hand motion. An innovation/residual-based floating forgetting-factor adaptive Kalman filter (IFFAKF) is proposed to address this problem. A floating forgetting-factor is brought into the innovation/residual-based adaptive estimation algorithm to adjust the process noise covariance (Q) and measurement noise covariance (R) of the system, thus generating estimation of voluntary hand movement and suppressing the vibration at the tip of the surgical instrument caused by the physiological tremor during surgeries. The proposed filter has been contrasted with various filters in simulations and experiments. The results confirm that the proposed filter has obvious advantages in terms of time delay, estimation error, and tremor suppression performance.
