Robust Practical Stabilization for Complex Dynamical Networks With DoS Attacks and Actuator Saturation

This article addresses the problem of designing an attack-resilient adaptive event-triggered (AET) controller for complex dynamical networks (CDNs) under DoS attacks and actuator saturation, with a focus on robust practical stability (RPS). First, considering the impact of DoS attacks on closed-loop systems, an AET controller against DoS attacks is designed. Unlike other event-triggered controllers, the complete timeline is divided, and the AET controller is built with two switching modes based on the intervals of dormant and active periods of DoS attacks in which the system is located. Second, to reconcile AET controller with actuator saturation, a switched system modeling approach is established that explicitly incorporates saturation constraints into the coupled network dynamics. Third, a switched Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) is proposed, with which sufficient conditions are provided to ensured the RPS, and a joint design strategy is developed for the desired triggered matrix and feedback gain using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Moreover, the results are generalized to the case of actuator faults, indicating that the system is able to achieve RPS with actuator faults. Finally, the proposed method is verified through an example. © 2013 IEEE.

Heating Patterns and Temperature Distribution of Projectile Surface in Lunar Soil Penetration

A large quantity of friction-induced heat is generated during penetration, notably increasing the projectile's surface temperature. Considering that the temperature variation depends on the physical properties of the penetrating target, this factor can be helpful for extraterrestrial object detection. This study studied the heat generation patterns and temperature distribution on the projectile surface when penetrating the lunar soil. For discrete medium penetration, large deviations appear in temperature prediction due to particle extrusion flow. Thus, we established a heat flux density model on the projectile surface by introducing a relative velocity factor for correction. The particle flow characteristics simulation and fitting model of the introduced factor were also obtained. We constructed a theoretical relationship between the resistance and stress model parameters through dynamic modeling. Experimental projectiles recording penetration acceleration and temperature at the points of interest on the projectile surface were designed and tested to obtain recorded data. The temperature field in this process was simulated in COMSOL software to calculate the projectile surface's heat flux density and temperature distribution. The results indicate that the developed model is effective. This research infers the physical characteristics of the penetrating target under given penetration conditions and provides more dimensional information for lunar soil exploration. © 2024, The Authors. As robots are gradually used in more and more scenarios, the requirements for robots to complete a variety of complex tasks are becoming higher and higher. Robotic hands, as the important tool for robot to complete the task, has attracted more and more attention. However, the robotic grasping tool usually has a single function and few degrees of freedom, which makes it difficult to adapt to more complex application scenarios. This paper presented a novel robotic hand with four fingers, which is designed based on the characteristics of human hands. We introduced the design process of the finger structure, analyzed the kinematics and statics of the designed hand, and further manufactured the prototype. To verify the function of the designed multi-fingered hand, we designed a serial of grasping experiments for different objects. The experimental results show that the designed multi-fingered hand can successfully grasp different experimental objects and meet the grasping requirements of the robot. © 2021 IEEE.

In response to the issue of inaccurate state of charge (SOC) estimation of batteries due to changes on environmental temperature and noise under complex operating conditions, this study takes an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) method combined with Adaptive Forgetting Recurrent Least Squares (AFFRLS) for online SOC estimation of batteries. The algorithm enhances robustness by adaptively updating the matrix of observation noise using Sage-Husa integrating into EKF algorithm, addressing the divergence issues traditionally encountered in SOC update on the LiFePO4 battery platform. Finally, the algorithm is validated through Dynamic Stress Test (DST) conditions at various temperature points, showing SOC estimation errors consistently within 3% when temperatures are above 10°C. © 2024 IEEE.

The air traffic demand surpasses the capacity of most of the busiest airports worldwide. The mismatch between airport capacity and air traffic demand leads to serious congestion and delay problems. Since airport capacity is difficult to expand in a short time, in order to reduce flight delays, we need to adjust and optimize flight slots for flight applications, and allocate flight time resources scientifically and efficiently under the premise of meeting airspace resource constraints such as airport capacity. In this paper, we proposed an airport flight slots allocation method based on the Q-Learning algorithm in reinforcement learning. Firstly, we preprocess the original data set. Data cleaning processes data with missing attribute values and removes irrelevant attributes. Through data transformation, the data of string attribute is transformed into discrete numbers, and the time attribute is processed. After that, we construct a mathematical model of single-airport flight time allocation, which is a combinatorial optimization problem and determines the optimization objectives and constraints. Then we apply the reinforcement learning algorithm Q-Learning to solve this optimization problem, and the algorithm updates the strategy through interaction with the environment to get a better solution. Finally, we take Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport as a study case to train and verify the proposed single-airport flight time allocation model. The experimental results show that, the optimized flight slots satisfy the airport capacity constraints while minimizing the adjustment of flight schedules as much as possible, and adjust the flights at some times to alleviate the congestion. © 2025 SPIE ·

The effect of VTH hysteresis on switching characteristics of SiC MOSFETs is investigated by TCAD in this paper. A device-circuit mixed-mode simulation model is built to simulate VTH hysteresis. The result illustrates that VTH hysteresis decreases VTH and increases channel mobility, which leads to earlier turn-on and larger ID. Moreover, the higher the interface state density (Dit) is, the more obvious the transient effect. However, ID remains unchanged with VTH hysteresis and it decreases with higher Dit without considering VTH hysteresis. Therefore, the VTH hysteresis is beneficial and the findings can be useful for distributing Dit when modeling the chip process. © VDE VERLAG GMBH · Berlin · Offenbach.

Taking short-duration heavy rainfall and convective wind gusts as examples, the present study examined the characteristics of radar reflectivity and several convective parameters. We analyzed nowcasting techniques by integrating a high-resolution numerical weather prediction model with these convective parameters. Based on the CMA-GD 1-km model and its assimilation system, we conducted repeated tests on radar reflectivity data assimilation and analyzed their impact on nowcasting accuracy. Based on these analyses, we proposed a method to improve model forecasts using the useful indicative information provided by high-frequency radar reflectivity data and convective parameters. The improved method was applied to the CMA-GD 1-km model for nowcasting tests. Evaluations from batch tests and case analysis show that the proposed method significantly reduced the model's false alarm rates and improved its nowcasting performance.

Press-Pack Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (PP-IGBTs) device are the key components urgently needed for the development of high-voltage and large-capacity flexible DC transmission equipment. Aiming at the problem of inaccurate calculation due to three-dimensional modeling only considers ideal tolerance conditions in the existing multiphysics coupling modeling of PP-IGBT device, a multiphysics model reconstruction method of the PP-IGBT device is proposed. Firstly, for accurately establishing the multiphysics model of PP-IGBT device, the principles of three-dimensional model reconstruction method and multi-physics coupling are introduced. Secondly, the multiphysics model reconstruction method of PP-IGBT device is established by finite element method, and the material parameters and boundary conditions are set. Finally, the three-dimensional model reconstruction method of solid mechanical field of PP-IGBT device was verified by the pressure test paper method, and the pressure influencing factors of the multiphysics coupling model of PP-IGBT device were analyzed by the power cycle experiment. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu.
