Metallized film capacitors are widely used in power electronics due to their brilliant electrical properties. However, the more stringent operating conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, current, voltage) brought about by the development of the energy industry may significantly impact capacitor reliability. This paper provides an elaborate description of the composition of metallized film capacitors. Then, the types of dielectric materials, metallization methods, and sprayed end forms are discussed in detail. In addition, various degradation modes are reviewed, including the degradation of electrode metallization with dielectric layers under high ambient temperature and high humidity conditions, the effect of over-voltage on reliability, and the aging of sprayed ends under pulsed current. © 2022 IEEE.

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things and 5G technology, triboelectric nanogenerator, as an emerging technology for self-powered energy, is receiving more attention. Based on previous work, the output of triboelectric nanogenerator has been increased to a significant degree. However, due to the high charge density on the surface of the friction layer, air breakdown occurs all the time and is difficult to control well. Here, a method for suppressing air breakdown phenomenon for contact-separation mode TENG in an SF 6 gas environment is proposed. In the SF 6 gas environment, the transferred charge density of the TENG increased from 155.6 mu {C}/{m}^{2} to 255.6 mu {C}/{m} {2}, which achieved a 64.3% improvement. The method proposed in this paper can significantly increase the output power of triboelectric nanogenerator, which is of great importance to promote the practical application of triboelectric nanogenerator. © 2022 IEEE.

Nanoparticle dispersibility characterization plays a crucial role in nanofluids and nanocomposites. The exploration of nanoparticle dispersion detection remains challenging due to the limitations of conventional measurement methods such as the poor reproducibility and greater destruction in characterizing particle size distribution, and the inversion of particle distribution by a bilayer model of nanoparticles has not been studied yet. In this work, a liquid-solid triboelectric nanogenerator (LS-TENG) is reported as a probe to characterize the dispersion of nanoparticles. The LS-TENG is designed in a frequency conversion structure, which requires a liquid volume of only 0.628 mL for detection. The equivalent capacitance model of nanoparticles is proposed, in which the equivalent capacitance values of the characterized particle sizes are calculated to finally obtain the characterization curves of nanofluid dispersion. In addition, the results derived from the proposed method are in good agreement with that of conventional methods. The proposed work provides a novel idea for the dispersibility detection method of nanofluids and nanocomposites. © 2022 IEEE.

Developing wheat that acquires and uses phosphorus(P)more efficiently is a promising and low-cost solution for increasing grain yield and reducing P-related environmental *** present study identified agronomic and physiological traits that contribute to genetic variation in the P acquisition,remobilization,and utilization efficiency of 11 wheat cultivars from southwest China grown in P-deficient purple lithomorphic soil(Olsen P=4.7)with balanced(75 kg P ha^(−1))and excess P(120 kg P ha^(−1))*** average,soil P deficiency(–P)reduced root P uptake(17.0%–60.8%),P remobilization(33.9%–52.8%),dry mass yield(11.5%–39.2%),and grain yield(17.7%–54.4%).Balanced P(+P)increased grain yield via increased plant biomass rather than increased HI.–P increased phosphorus uptake efficiency(PUpE,4.5-fold),phosphorus utilization efficiency(PUtE,1.25-fold),and phosphorus use efficiency(PUE,5.4-fold)compared with those under+P,and PUtE explained most(58.1%–60.8%)of the genetic variation in PUE under both–P and+*** high root P uptake of P-efficient cultivars under–P was regulated by root surface area and root length density in the 0–10 cm soil layer but not in the 10–20 and 20–40 cm soil layers,suggesting that a topsoil foraging strategy is a more economical approach than deeper root exploration for increasing P *** P uptake before anthesis and P remobilization after anthesis were critical for increasing the PUtE of wheat,given that P-efficient cultivars showed higher Pn(net photosynthetic rate)and sucrose levels than P-inefficient *** reduction by–P resulted from decreased Gs and Ci,and high evapotranspiration under+P increased shoot P%by increasing root P *** variation in the source-to-sink ratio was observed in consequence of a+P-induced allometric increase in sucrose in leaves and *** to these beneficial effects,+P increased the kernel N and P yields of the 11 cultivars by 9.9%–52.4%and 12.3%–48.8%,*** findings of thi

Recently, the oil-sulfur corrosion of copper winding in transformer has been widely concerned at home and abroad. However, most of the solutions to this phenomenon focus on insulating oil, mainly including strict acceptance of new oil, addition of metal passivator, etc., and the research on copper winding itself is lacking. Herein, grain boundary engineering was used to treat copper windings, and the effect of twin content on sulfur corrosion resistance of copper windings was researched. Copper windings with different twin content (18.2, 41.2 and 61.6%) were obtained by adjusting the deformation of copper. According to IEC 62535 standard, the oil-sulfur corrosion test was carried out. The results show that the corrosion product deposits on copper windings and insulation paper decrease as the twin content increases. Moreover, the large twin content can improve the electrical performance of the insulating oil and insulating paper. The electrochemical polarization curve of the copper windings was measured. With the increase of twin content, the corrosion potential shifts positively and the corrosion current density decreases. This explains the mechanism that increasing the twin content improves the corrosion resistance of copper windings. This work provides useful information for suppressing oil sulfur corrosion in transformers. © 2023 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Wire-bond insulated gate bipolar transistor IGBT modules (WB-IGBT) are widely used in new energy power generation, rail transit and other fields. WB-IGBT are the core power modules of power electronic equipment, and their reliability is important for the safe operation of the system. Package failure is one of the main failure modes of WB-IGBT. Package condition monitoring is the key to realize module fault diagnosis, condition prediction and intelligent operation and maintenance. In this paper, aiming at the problem of package condition monitoring of WB-IGBT. Firstly, the package structure of WB-IGBT is analyzed, and the failure locations of WB-IGBT are studied;Secondly, aiming at two main package failure modes of WB-IGBT, including the bond wire failure and solder layer failure, the package condition monitoring methods for different failure modes are analyzed. Finally, the problems of the existing monitoring methods are analyzed, and new methods which can be used to monitor package condition of WB-IGBT are studied. The current pulse is a signal indicator for lightning impulse breakdown in insulating liquids. This work finds that the amplitude of current pulses is better correlated with the evolution of dark streamers rather than the evolution of luminescent streamers in vegetable insulating oil. Due to the intermittent nature of current pulses, it is reasonable to speculate that current pulses generate from the violent partial discharge inside the dark streamer channel. This work also developed an improved streamer discharge model to verify this speculation. The simulation results demonstrate the presence of a high electric field strength inside the streamer channel, which approves the occurrence of partial discharges inside the streamer channel. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper,we present a novel adaptive performance control approach for strict-feedback nonparametric systems with unknown time-varying control coefficients,which mainly includes the following ***,by introducing several key transformation functions and selecting the initial value of the time-varying scaling function,the symmetric prescribed performance with global and semi-global properties can be handled uniformly,without the need for control ***,to handle the problem of unknown time-varying control coefficient with an unknown sign,we propose an enhanced Nussbaum function(ENF)bearing some unique properties and characteristics,with which the complex stability analysis based on specific Nussbaum functions as commonly used is no longer ***,by utilizing the core-function information technique,the nonparametric uncertainties in the system are gracefully handled so that no approximator is ***,simulation results verify the effectiveness and benefits of the approach.

Photovoltaic power generation is an important component of sustainable power generation and has been widely utilized. Grid connected inverters are key equipment in photovoltaic integrated systems, which directly affect the stability of the system. In this paper, the transient model of photovoltaic inverter controller based on active support technology is derived. The transient mathematical model and corresponding self-closing loop control strategy are analyzed. Based on the RTDS, a hardware controller semi-physical simulation platform is established to simulate and test photovoltaic inverters under different fault and control methods. Finally, the simulation data obtained from the self-closing loop control method and the hardware control method are compared to verify the stability and reliability of the photovoltaic inverter hardware controller. © 2024 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This work investigates the dispersion properties of Rayleigh-type surface waves propagating in a layered piezoelectric nanostructure composed of a piezoelectric nanofilm over an elastic *** one of the most important features of nanostructures,surface effects characterized by surface stresses and surface electric displacements are taken into account through the surface piezoelectricity theory and the nonclassical mechanical and electrical boundary *** expressions of the dispersion equation are derived,and numerical results are provided to examine the effects of several surface-related parameters,including the surface elasticity,surface piezoelectricity,surface dielectricity,surface density,as well as surface residual stress,on the dispersion modes and phase *** size-dependent dispersion behaviors occurring with surface effects are also predicted,and they may vanish once the thickness of the piezoelectric nanofilm reaches a critical value.
