The emerging mobile edge networks with content caching capability allows end users to receive information from adjacent edge servers directly instead of a centralized data warehouse,thus the network transmission delay and system throughput can be improved *** the duplicate content transmissions between edge network and remote cloud can be reduced,the appropriate caching strategy can also improve the system energy efficiency of mobile edge networks to a great *** paper focuses on how to improve the network energy efficiency and proposes an intelligent caching strategy according to the cached content distribution model for mobile edge networks based on promising deep reinforcement learning *** deep neural network(DNN)and Q-learning algorithm are combined to design a deep reinforcement learning framework named as the deep-Q neural network(DQN),in which the DNN is adopted to represent the approximation of action-state value function in the Q-learning *** parameters iteration strategies in the proposed DQN algorithm were improved through stochastic gradient descent method,so the DQN algorithm could converge to the optimal solution quickly,and the network performance of the content caching policy can be *** simulation results show that the proposed intelligent DQN-based content cache strategy with enough training steps could improve the energy efficiency of the mobile edge networks significantly.

The difficulty of moving from aquatic to aerial environment is one of the major challenges limiting the development of trans-medium multi-domain locomotion vehicles. In this paper, the concept of the transformable wheel, a feature commonly found in autonomous land vehicles (AL V s), is introduced into the design. Additionally, a flapping-wing robot equipped with multi-domain locomotion capability, which can not only realize aerial flight and surface navigation on water, but also ascend from water to land for subsequent takeoff is presented. The paper first introduces the system design of the robot and proposes the corresponding multi-domain locomotion strategy. Subsequently, the design of the transformable wheel mechanism is described in detail and the force analysis for the water-exit is conducted. The feasibility of the proposed strategy is experimentally validated, confirming the prototype's multi-domain locomotion performance finally. This research explores the feasibility of introducing the transformable wheel mechanism into trans-medium multi-domain vehicle platforms and provides a design example.

New standards are being introduced to eliminate toxic elements in materials. For instance, copper alloys should no longer contain lead, although this makes them more challenging to machine. Additionally, for environmental reasons, it is crucial to eliminate cutting oils. To address these two challenges, cryogenic cooling during machining can be considered. However, it is first essential to understand the precise mechanical response of the material at low temperatures. This study conducts compression tests on copper across a wide temperature range, from cryogenic temperatures (liquid nitrogen, LN2) to 700°C, and at strain rates from 0.01/s to 10/s. The microstructure of deformed test samples is also characterized by electron back-scattered diffraction (EBSD) to compare the different plastic deformation characteristics under low and high temperature. The stress-strain curves are fitted with Johnson-Cook (JC) model, which is then implemented into the finite element simulation of the compression process. The results indicate that the JC model with the fitted parameters is not precise enough in terms of modelling very low temperature dynamic response of copper alloy, thus is not proper for the simulation of cryogenic cooling assisted cutting. This is because different characteristics of strain hardening behavior is discovered under LN2 atmosphere temperature and ordinary cutting temperature, which is further induced by a transition of plastic deformation mechanism with increased temperature. Therefore, a new constitutive law is proposed considering deformation mechanism at both traditional cutting temperature and cryogenic conditions. The results indicate that the new model has a better fitting of experimental curves than JC model. This study is helpful for the understanding of low temperature copper deformation behavior and new constitutive model exploitation oriented to cryogenic cooling assisted cutting. © 2025 The Authors.

For inland water transportation, the route planning is closely relevant to the safety and efficiency of vessel navigation. To meet the requirements route planning with variable depths, water flows, navigation rules and other factors for inland ongoing vessels, this paper proposes a segmented A-star (A∗) algorithm to optimize inland vessel routes. This algorithm divides the entire navigation waterway to several segments, to avoid the large amount of calculation with excessive grids. For each segment, the optimal route in terms of efficiency and safety is generated by an improved A∗ algorithm considering navigation rules, water flow, water depth, bridge piers, and vessel maneuverability. The experiments with real hydrologic and terrain data of Wuhan waterway of Yangtze River, show that the proposed method can generate safer and more economical routes in comparison of other algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

As the velocity of a train increases,the corresponding air pumping power consumption of the brake discs increases *** the present experimental study,a standard axle-mounted brake disc with circumferential pillars was analyzed using a 1:1 scale model and a test rig in a wind *** particular,three upstream velocities were selected on the basis of earlier investigations of trains operating at 160,250,and 400 km/h,***,3D steady computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations of the flow field were conducted to compare with the wind tunnel test *** results for a 3-car train at 180 km/h demonstrated:(1)good agreement between the air resistance torques obtained from the wind tunnel tests and the related numerical results,with differences ranging from 0.95%to 5.88%;(2)discrepancies ranging from 3.2 to 3.8 N·m;(3)cooling ribs contributing more than 60%of the air resistance torque;(4)the fast rotation of brake discs causing a significantly different flow field near the bogie area,resulting in 25 times more air pumping power loss than that obtained in the stationary brake-disc case.

The rising demand for reliable, high-bandwidth satellite communications in far-reach areas drives the integration of low earth orbit (LEO) satellites into future 6G networks. In this paper, we investigate the deployment of reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) technology and rate splitting multiple access (RSMA) within LEO satellite systems to improve communication quality and system capacity. We derive closed-form expressions for outage probability (OP) and reliable throughput that validate the theoretical advantages of these technologies under various signal-to-noise ratio conditions. Numerical results demonstrate that, compared with traditional space division multiple access (SDMA) and non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) approaches, our RSMA and RIS-integrated framework significantly can reduce OP and enhance reliable throughput with an appropriate power-splitting factor, showcasing its superiority in RIS-enabled satellite communication scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

The expression of linear DNA sequence is precisely regulated by the three-dimensional(3D)architecture of ***-induced aberrant gene networks of neurons have been extensively investigated;however,how morphine impacts the 3D genomic architecture of neurons is still ***,we applied digestion-ligation-only high-throughput chromosome conformation capture(DLO Hi-C)technology to investigate the effects of morphine on the 3D chromatin architecture of primate cortical *** receiving continuous morphine administration for 90 days on rhesus monkeys,we discovered that morphine re-arranged chromosome territories,with a total of 391 segmented compartments being *** altered over half of the detected topologically associated domains(TADs),most of which exhibited a variety of shifts,followed by separating and fusing *** of the looping events at kilobase-scale resolution revealed that morphine increased not only the number but also the length of differential ***,all identified differentially expressed genes from the RNA sequencing data were mapped to the specific TAD boundaries or differential loops,and were further validated for changed ***,an altered 3D genomic architecture of cortical neurons may regulate the gene networks associated with morphine *** finding provides critical hubs connecting chromosome spatial organization and gene networks associated with the morphine effects in humans.

SF_(6) has excellent insulation performance and arc extinguishing ability,and is widely used in the power ***,its global warming potential is about 23,500 times that of C0_(2),it can exist stably in the atmosphere,it is not easily degradable and is of great potential harm to the *** on pulsed dielectric barrier discharge plasma technology,the effects of H_(2)O and 0_(2) on the degradation of SF_(6) were *** have shown that H_(2)O can effectively promote the decomposition of SF_(6) and improve its degradation rate and energy efficiency of *** the action of a pulse input voltage and input frequency of 15 kV and 15 kHz,respectively,when H_(2)O is added alone the effect of 1% H_(2)O is the best,and the rate and energy efficiency of degradation of SF_(6) reach their maximum values,which are 91.9% and 8.25 g kWh^(-1),*** synergistic effect of H_(2)O and O_(2) on the degradation of SF_(6) was similar to that of H_(2)*** the concentration of H_(2)O and O_(2) was 1%,the system obtained the best rate and energy efficiency of degradation,namely 89.7% and 8.05 g kWh~(-1),*** the same time,different external gases exhibit different capabilities to regulate decomposition *** addition of H_(2)O can effectively improve the selectivity of S0_(2).Under the synergistic effect of H_(2)O and O_(2),with increase in O_(2) concentration the degradation products gradually transformed into SO_(2)F_(2).From the perspective of harmless treatment of the degradation products of SF_(6),the addition of O_(2) during the SF_(6) degradation process should be avoided.
