Current methods for compiling inventories of air pollutant emissions may introduce spatial and temporal uncertainty. Data on electricity consumption is a spatially and temporally precise objective evaluation of the level of activity in modern national industry and life. This study investigates and applies a definition of activity level based on energy consumption data to the production of an inventory of air pollutant emissions. In the meantime, the estimation of the ideal activity level emission coefficient is described, and a framework for the iterative update of air pollutant emission inventory compilation based on the power IoT system is proposed. From 2020 to 2022, verification experiments are being conducted using historical electricity consumption data from a Yunnan company and daily observation data from the relevant national monitoring stations. Compared to the traditional emission inventory based on coal-fired consumption data, the correlation of the reactive power-based emission inventory is increased by 58%, the Normalised Mean Bias (NMB) is reduced by 60 times, and the Normalised Mean Error (NME) is reduced by 30%, as determined by experiment results. © 2023 IEEE.

High-resolution velocity structure and seismogenic potential of strong earthquakes in the Bamei-Kangding segment of the Xianshuihe fault zone

On September 5,2022,a strong MS6.8 earthquake struck the Luding area in the Kangding-Moxi segment of the Xianshuihe fault zone,which is the northern boundary of the Sichuan-Yunnan rhombic block,causing considerable *** Bamei-Kangding segment of the Xianshuihe fault zone,which is located only tens of kilometers away from the Luding earthquake,has hosted frequent moderate to strong earthquakes in history and is a dangerous earthquake-prone ***,it is critical to investigate the regional seismogenic environment for strong earthquakes and to evaluate the impact of the Luding earthquake in this *** this purpose,we deployed a dense seismic array comprising over 200 short-period nodes in this region from July to August,2022 and acquired seismic ambient noise for over 30 *** the collected data,we conducted surface wave tomography and obtained a high-resolution 3-D shear wave velocity model for the regional shallow crust down to 8 km in *** key findings include:(1)the Bamei-Kangding segment of the Xianshuihe fault zone exhibits widespread stripped lowvelocity anomalies,suggesting shear movements at a relatively high temperature of the Xianshuihe fault zone;the Zheduoshan granitic pluton situated between the Zheduotang and southern Selaha faults shows a distinct low-velocity anomaly,which may be attributed to the localized high-temperature anomaly resulted by a deep magmatic heat source and the recent rapid uplift of the Zheduoshan area;(2)a ten-kilometer-wide high velocity body found below 4 km in depth near the Zhonggu area in the Bamei segment coincides with the seismic gap of moderate to strong earthquakes in this region,suggesting that the high velocity body may act as a seismic barrier;(3)the heterogeneity of the velocity structure along the Bamei-Kangding segment of the Xianshuihe fault zone corresponds to the regional changes in temperature,which reveals the reason for the spatially varying seismogenic potential in this segment;e

This study introduces a multi-scale convolutional neural network (MCNN) for diagnosing various faults in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) systems. Using simulated fault data from a 240 kW PEMFC stack, the MCNN method is validated. Compared to traditional methods like backpropagation neural network (BP), support vector machine (SVM), and temporal convolutional neural network (TCNN), MCNN achieves an average accuracy of 96.31%, outperforming BP (88.88%), SVM (90.67%), and TCNN (93.80%). The study demonstrates MCNN's effectiveness in diagnosing recoverable faults, fatal faults, and multiple faults in PEMFC systems, achieving fault diagnosis accuracies of over 97%. By leveraging its inherent advantages such as multi-channel processing, automatic feature learning, and parameter sharing, MCNN provides an effective solution for accurately diagnosing faults in PEMFC. The utilization of these advantages has enabled MCNN to perform efficient and accurate fault diagnosis in PEMFC systems. © 2024 Hydrogen Energy Publications LLC

In this work, we present a control approach to remove the coupled vibration and viscoelastic nonlinearity of DEAs. To this end, we firstly characterize the dynamical responses of DEAs, demonstrating complex nonlinearities, including vibration, viscoelastic creep and hysteresis nonlinearities. Then, a closed-loop input shaper is designed to remove the vibration phenomenon and viscoelastic creep nonlinearity. Finally, based on a phenomenological hysteresis model, a direct inverse hysteresis controller is further developed to eliminate the viscoelastic hysteresis nonlinearity of the compensated system. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed control approach, several static and periodical trajectories tracking experiments are conducted. The experimental results demonstrate that: with our control approach, DEA can precisely track sinusoidal trajectories with different frequencies, and the maximum tracking error and the root mean square error decrease from 63.56% to 19.81% and 29.02% to 9.58%, respectively. This work is the early attempt to remove the coupled vibration and viscoelastic nonlinearity, which capable of improving the working bandwidth of DEAs and may pave the way for practical applications. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. The loss and heat flux of IGBT module change with package degradation, resulting in the variation of case temperature and its distribution. Inspired by the aging mechanism of module, this study performs an online observation for IGBT's time-varying profile by collecting temperature of multiple points in the bottom case, which achieves a spatial temperature reconstruction beyond junction temperature with aging track capability. Moreover, the loss can also be obtained by the thermal performance at steady state. A deep neural network (DNN) based data-driven model is established by collecting data in varied degradation level and operating condition, which favors the online observation by its low computation cost. A dedicated optical fiber positioning is proposed to facilitate temperature acquisition, and the process of data-driven modeling is illustrated in detail. Results show that the spatial temperature inside the module and the power loss can be accurately reconstructed within 5% error, and the module degradation status are well tracked. © 2023 IEEE.

The physical layer key generation technique provides an efficient method,which utilizes the natural dynamics of wireless ***,there are some extremely challenging security scenarios such as static or quasi-static environment,which lead to the low randomness of generated ***,the coefficients of the static channel may be dropped into the guard space and discarded by the quantization approach,which causes low key generation *** tackle these issues,we propose a random coefficient-moving product based wireless key generation scheme(RCMP-WKG),where new random resources with remarkable fluctuations can be obtained by applying random coefficient and by moving product on the legitimate ***,appropriate quantization approaches are used to increase the key generation ***,the security of our proposed scheme is evaluated by analyzing different attacks and the eavesdropper’s mean square error(MSE).The simulation results reveal that the proposed scheme can achieve better performances in key capacity,key inconsistency rate(KIR)and key generation rate(KGR)compared with the prior works in static ***,the proposed scheme can deteriorate the MSE performance of the eavesdropper and improve the key generation performance of legitimate nodes by controlling the length of the moving product.
