Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) can generate braking torque through stator three-phase short circuit, which can slow down the motor out of control in motion. In this paper, the steady-state mathematical model of PMSM under three-phase short circuit is established, and the accurate parameters of the machine are obtained by combining the finite element method simulation. The steady-state torque of the motor during three-phase short circuit under different speeds is calculated analytically, and the speed-torque curve is obtained. A series capacitor method is proposed to improve the maximum short-circuit torque, and the appropriate capacitance value is deduced theoretically. Finally, the three-phase short-circuit and series capacitance experiments of an 11.4kW permanent magnet synchronous motor are carried out to verify the accuracy of the calculation and the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

The five-prevention logic is crucial for preventing misoperation in substations. The writing and audit of the existing five-prevention logic rely on manual labor, with low efficiency and security risks. Therefore, this paper proposes an automatic generation and audit method of substation five-prevention logic based on typical interval graphization. A database containing device names and circuit information is developed, and two core algorithm modules, topology analysis, and logic generation are established. Moreover, this method is integrated into the anti-misoperation system to achieve standardized and centralized management of the five-prevention ledger and logic for each substation. In addition, it also has the function of intelligent inspection and report output with five-prevention logic. The actual engineering application results show that the system has high accuracy, and the debugging time has been reduced from 6 h manually to 1 min. As the electric power industry has expanded, it has become more crucial than ever to transmit electricity safely. Because the transformer plays a vital role in the power system, and the quality of transformer oil is directly related to the life of the transformer. Therefore, it is essential to assess the condition of the insulating oil. In this paper, the relationship between the interfacial tension and the aging process of insulating oils is investigated based on in-situ Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (in-situ FT-IR) techniques. Three different types of insulating oil are researched and the correlation between the interfacial tension and the peak area ratio of each ageing peak is analysed. It is observed that the peak area ratio of the ageing peaks showed a significant correlation with the interfacial tension, which can be used as a foundation for assessing the ageing level of the insulating oils. © 2023 IEEE.

Aluminum (Al)/Copper oxide (CuO) are mostly common thermites in energetic materials. However, the ignition and combustion of Al/CuO are constrained by the oxide shell coating on the Al core. Titanium (Ti) nanoparticles have been incorporated into Al/CuO system to tune their energetic behavior. The reactivity and combustion heat of Al/Ti/CuO ternary composites have been measured via combustion cell and calorimetry, respectively. The pressurization rate of Al/30% Ti/CuO (the molar percent of Ti in the fuel is 30%) and Al/70% Ti/CuO is 1 and 1.5 times greater than Al/CuO. Consequently, Ti nanoparticles are promising candidate for enhancinging the reactivity of Al/CuO thermites. The results also suggest that Ti nanoparticles could be employed as useful additive in Al-based thermites to tune their combustion behavior. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In order to study the effect of wheel rail impact load on fatigue damage of the structure, a vehicle track coupling dynamic model is established in the paper. Through theoretical calculation and finite element analysis methods, the P2 resonance frequency of the wheel rail system is determined;Using the unevenness of saddle shaped welded joints as an impact load excitation model, a study is conducted on the dynamic response of the wheel rail coupling model under wheel rail impact load and the fatigue damage of the structure from the perspective of track parameters. This can provide certain assistance for future designers in selecting parameters for track systems. Based on the standards for rail polishing, as well as evaluation criteria such as wheel rail dynamic response, fatigue damage and vibration environment of the framework, the vertical amplitude polishing limit of rail welded joints is reasonably determined to be 0.3 mm. This polishing limit provides a reference for the formulation of rail welded joint polishing standards for urban rail transit. © 2024 SPIE.

Straw mulch-based no-tillage improves tillering capability of dryland wheat by reducing asymmetric competition between main stem and tillers

The moisture-conserving effect of straw mulch-based no-tillage(SMNT)is expected to increase fertile spikes and grain yield in environments with rainfall less than 200 ***,the mechanisms under-lying the positive effect of SMNT on wheat tillering are not fully elucidated.A split-plot experiment was designed to investigate the combined effects of SMNT and cultivars on tillering of dryland wheat grown under both dry and favorable *** of SMNT to a cultivar with 1-2 tillers exploited both tillering and kernel-number plasticity,increasing the mean grain yield by 20.5%.This increase was attrib-uted primarily to an increased first-tiller emergence rate resulting from increased N uptake,leaf N con-tent,and N remobilization from tillers to their *** second and third tillers,as transient sinks,contributed to the tiller survival rate,which depends on tiller leaf *** increased total N uptake by SMNT also increased the dry mass yield of tillers and the C:N ratio,reducing the asymmetric compe-tition between main stem and *** to these beneficial effects,reduced mitogen-activated pro-tein kinase(MAPK)and abscisic acid signals were observed under SMNT,whereas indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)signals and genes involved in DNA replication and mismatch repair were *** signals activated three critical transcription factors(the calmodulin-binding transcription activator,GRAS domain,and cysteine-2/histidine-2 family)and further increased rapid drought response and tiller main-tenance after stem *** biosynthesis,sphingolipid biosynthesis,and galactose metabolism were most relevant to increased tillering under SMNT because of their critical role in drought response and lignin *** results suggest that straw mulch-based no-tillage activates rapid drought response and improved wheat tillering by coordinating root N uptake,N remobilization,and asymmetric competition between main stem and tillers.

Learning-based multi-view stereo aims to restore the real scene from multiple images with overlapping areas. The mainstream self-supervised MVS method trains the model based on the assumption that spatial points from different perspectives share the same color information. To further suppress the interference from specular reflection and illumination noise, this work proposes a self-supervised MVS network based on the consistency of synthetic-real image prediction. The network first applies the coarse-to-fine manner to gradually refine the depth map, and the source images are projected to the reference view to generate the synthesized reference image. Then the synthesized image with real source images are re-input into the network to form a cycled network, and the consistency constraint of the prediction results of the two periods is introduced to improve the color anti-interference of the self- supervised MVS model. The comprehensive experiments on the public dataset show that the proposed work can further improve the reconstruction performance of the benchmark model, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed work. © 2023 IEEE.

In northern China,thermal power units(TPUs)are important in improving the penetration level of renewable *** such areas,the potentials of coordinated dispatch of renewable energy sources(RESs)and TPUs can be better realized,if RESs and TPUs connected to the power grid at the same point of common coupling(PCC)are dispatched as a coupled ***,the definition of the coupled system is introduced,followed by an analysis on its ***,based on the operation characteristics of deep peak regulation(DPR)of TPUs in the coupled system,the constraint of the ladder-type ramping rate applicable for day-ahead dispatch is proposed,and the corresponding flexible spinning reserve constraint is further ***,considering these constraints and peak regulation ancillary services,a day-ahead optimal dispatch model of the coupled system is ***,the operational characteristics and advantages of the coupled system are analyzed in several case studies based on a real-world power grid in Liaoning province,*** numerical results show that the coupled system can further improve the economic benefits of RESs and TPUs under the existing policies.
