Natural gas load forecasting is crucial for the safe operation of urban natural gas. Based on the system identification method, the short-term natural gas load forecasting is studied in the paper. Employing a multi-stage identification framework, the initial values of the model parameters using the least squares and the instrumental variables method, while the model parameters are further optimized by the prediction error method to improve the accuracy of the model identification. The proposed method is validated by the simulation based on the public natural gas data in the U.S., demonstrating the algorithm's effectiveness in forecasting the daily natural gas load effectively. © 2024 IEEE.

In northern China,thermal power units(TPUs)are important in improving the penetration level of renewable *** such areas,the potentials of coordinated dispatch of renewable energy sources(RESs)and TPUs can be better realized,if RESs and TPUs connected to the power grid at the same point of common coupling(PCC)are dispatched as a coupled ***,the definition of the coupled system is introduced,followed by an analysis on its ***,based on the operation characteristics of deep peak regulation(DPR)of TPUs in the coupled system,the constraint of the ladder-type ramping rate applicable for day-ahead dispatch is proposed,and the corresponding flexible spinning reserve constraint is further ***,considering these constraints and peak regulation ancillary services,a day-ahead optimal dispatch model of the coupled system is ***,the operational characteristics and advantages of the coupled system are analyzed in several case studies based on a real-world power grid in Liaoning province,*** numerical results show that the coupled system can further improve the economic benefits of RESs and TPUs under the existing policies.

With the increasing density of air traffic and the complexity of the terminal sector, air traffic controllers will face more challenges and pressures in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of air traffic. In this work, an artificial intelligence (AI) agent is built to handle dense, complex and dynamic air traffic in the future. In this work, an artificial intelligence (AI) agent based on deep reinforcement learning is built to mimic air traffic controllers, such that the dense, complex and dynamic air traffic flows in terminal airspace can be handled sequentially and separated. To solve the problem, hierarchical reinforcement learning method is proposed, the flights choose agent and the flights action agent are achieved by DDQN. Results show that the built AI agent can guide 16 aircrafts safely and efficiently through Sector 01 of Nanjing Terminal, simultaneously. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Vision-based terrain recognition technology can help the robot understand the surrounding environment and then adjust the control and motion strategy in time. However, most of the existing work focuses on urban environments, and little attention is paid to complex off-road environments. Moreover, the class imbalance in the off-road environment is highly dependent on the specific environment so that the class imbalance problem is more serious, which makes the semantic segmentation of rare classes more challenging. In this study, we propose a visual terrain recognition method based on different weight loss functions for ground mobile robots in the off-road environment with class imbalance. The visual information is input into the improved network for terrain recognition. In order to better identify the rare classes, different weights are assigned to different classes in the loss function of the improved network. After a series of experiments, the results show that our improvement achieves better results than the original model in the off-road environment. © 2023 IEEE.

The five-prevention logic is crucial for preventing misoperation in substations. The writing and audit of the existing five-prevention logic rely on manual labor, with low efficiency and security risks. Therefore, this paper proposes an automatic generation and audit method of substation five-prevention logic based on typical interval graphization. A database containing device names and circuit information is developed, and two core algorithm modules, topology analysis, and logic generation are established. Moreover, this method is integrated into the anti-misoperation system to achieve standardized and centralized management of the five-prevention ledger and logic for each substation. In addition, it also has the function of intelligent inspection and report output with five-prevention logic. The actual engineering application results show that the system has high accuracy, and the debugging time has been reduced from 6 h manually to 1 min. Multi-Feature Recognition of Healthy Vegetable Seedlings Based on Machine Vision technology

The quality of potted seedlings has an important influence on the yield of vegetables during seedling raising and transplanting. The inconsistency of potted seedlings after transplanting is the main factor causing the decline in vegetable quality and yield. To eliminate or reduce this influence, the health test of potted vegetable seedlings before transplanting is particularly important to ensure crop yield. In this study, an image recognition technology based on machine vision is proposed. It is a multi-feature recognition method for the non-destructive detection of healthy vegetable seedlings. The color of the pot seedling image is enhanced by the industrial control computer system and the self-written image recognition algorithm (hereinafter referred to as SIXA algorithm). The image segmentation and denoising are realized by the ultra-green threshold segmentation method and 3D Block Matched filtering (BM3D) algorithm. Information about the color and leaf area features of vegetable pot seedlings was collected. The criteria for healthy vegetable pot seedlings are confirmed and analyzed. Among them, the color feature thresholds of healthy vegetable pot seedlings in this study were set as R ≥60.7;G≥119.4;B≥1.9, and the leaf area feature thresholds were set as F≥0.15. This is to reduce the limitation of identifying healthy vegetable potted seedlings based on single information and establish a multi-feature identification method for healthy vegetable potted seedlings, aiming to improve the accuracy of identifying healthy vegetable potted seedlings. Urban rail transit system has significant advantages, but with its rapid development, noise and vibration problems caused by wheel polygonal wear are becoming more and more prominent. When scholars study wheel polygonal abrasion, they seldom take the coupled vibration of wheel-rail system into consideration, while the P2 force resonance in the coupled vibration of wheel-rail system will have serious impact on wheel-rail system, such as wheel surface defects and rail wave abrasion, etc., and even lead to the failure of the vehicle and track components, which threatens the comfort and safety of the vehicle operation. In this paper, for the phenomenon of polygonal wheel abrasion in a certain type of underground, the mechanism of polygonal wheel abrasion caused by coupled vibration of the wheel-rail system is investigated from the analysis of rigid-flexible coupling dynamics. It was found that when the vehicle was running at a speed of 40-45 km/h, the P2 force with a frequency of about 60 Hz reached the peak value, which caused the wheel polygonal wear, resulting in the occurrence of wheel polygons of the 13th to 14th order. Meanwhile, the effects of wheel-rail parameters and track excitation on the coupled vibration of the wheel-rail system were investigated. © 2024 SPIE.

Permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSMs) have been widely used in industrial applications requiring high speed and positioning precision. Iterative feedforward tuning (IFFT) methods enhance the extrapolation ability to variant tasks without sacrificing the accuracy of iterative learning control methods. However, existing IFFT methods do not consider the compensation of the current-dependent force ripple. Meanwhile, the compensation of time delay is not taken into account. To cope with these two problems, this paper proposes a novel IFFT method for PMLSMs with unknown time delay and current-dependent force ripple. Time delay is approximated by Taylor expansion, whose coefficients can be tuned iteratively in the IFFT scheme. Control signal is incorporated into the polynomial basis of the IFFT, which can deal with the current-dependent force ripple. Simulation results based on an ironless PMLSM illustrate the validity of the proposed method. © 2022 IEEE.
