Nuclear power is one of several significant clean energy and its production capacity is increasing rapidly. This paper proposed a novel PID self-tuning method based on closed-loop identification used in nuclear power plants to deal with the turbine's load tracking problem. A setpoint-shifting method is adopted to achieve the informativity of the closed-loop system, and the PID parameters are designed through an optimization method. For validating the proposed method, this paper modeled a pressurized-water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plant, a complex system consisting of three circuits, through the first principle. The primary circuit contains three main devices: a nuclear reactor, a pressurizer, and a steam generator. The models of these three devices are provided by previous literature separately. The whole model is generated through mass and energy balance. This mechanism model is used as the plant model, while the identified model is used as the control model. The initial PID parameters are set through open-loop identification using an external excitation. Then the proposed method works online to track the turbine's load in time. Spatiotemporal variation of ecological environment quality and extreme climate drivers on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

Protecting the ecological security of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)is of great importance for global ecology and *** the past few decades,climate extremes have posed a significant challenge to the ecological environment of the ***,there are few studies that explored the effects of climate extremes on ecological environment quality of the QTP,and few researchers have made quantitative ***,this paper proposed the Ecological Environmental Quality Index(EEQI)for analyzing the spatial and temporal variation of ecological environment quality on the QTP from 2000 to 2020,and explored the effects of climate extremes on EEQI based on Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression(GTWR)*** results showed that the ecological environment quality in QTP was poor in the west,but good in the *** 2000 and 2020,the area of EEQI variation was large(34.61%of the total area),but the intensity of EEQI variation was relatively low and occurred mainly by a slightly increasing level(EEQI change range of 0.05-0.1).The overall ecological environment quality of the QTP exhibited spatial and temporal fluctuations,which may be attributed to climate *** spatial heterogeneity was observed in the effects of the climate extremes on ecological environment ***,the effects of daily temperature range(DTR),number of frost days(FD0),maximum 5-day precipitation(RX5day),and moderate precipitation days(R10)on ecological environment quality were positive in most ***,there were significant temporal differences in the effects of consecutive dry days(CDD),consecutive wet days(CWD),R10,and FD0 on ecological environment *** differences may be attributed to variances in ecological environment quality,climate extremes,and vegetation types across different *** conclusion,the impact of climate extremes on ecological environment quality exhibits complex *** findings will assist managers in iden

FMRT: Learning Accurate Feature Matching with Reconciliatory Transformer

Local Feature Matching, an essential component of several computer vision tasks (e.g., structure from motion and visual localization), has been effectively settled by Transformer-based methods. However, these methods only integrate long-range context information among keypoints with a fixed receptive field, which constrains the network from reconciling the importance of features with different receptive fields to realize complete image perception, hence limiting the matching accuracy. In addition, these methods utilize a conventional handcrafted encoding approach to integrate the positional information of keypoints into the visual descriptors, which limits the capability of the network to extract reliable positional encoding message. In this study, we propose Feature Matching with Reconciliatory Transformer (FMRT), a novel Transformer-based detector-free method that reconciles different features with multiple receptive fields adaptively and utilizes parallel networks to realize reliable positional encoding. Specifically, FMRT proposes a dedicated Reconciliatory Transformer (RecFormer) that consists of a Global Perception Attention Layer (GPAL) to extract visual descriptors with different receptive fields and integrate global context information under various scales, Perception Weight Layer (PWL) to measure the importance of various receptive fields adaptively, and Local Perception Feed-forward Network (LPFFN) to extract deep aggregated multi-scale local feature representation. Besides, we introduce a novel Axis-Wise Position Encoder (AWPE) that perceives positional encoding as two independent keypoints encoding tasks along the row and column dimensions and utilizes two parallel network branches to decouple the X- and Y -coordinate information of keypoints, so that boosting the capability of the network to model position information for different images. Microrobots can work in small, enclosed spaces and complete complex tasks. It has potential applications in the field of biomedical and life sciences. This paper focuses on investigating robust dynamic tracking for electromagnetic-actuated microrobot via sliding mode control. First, we generalize the planar motion to the case of spatial trajectory tracking and then establish the three-dimensional tracking error model of microrobot. Then, we deploy a novel sliding control strategy and ensure the stability of sliding mode dynamics, once the robotic state reaches the sliding surface and sustains there in the sequel. Finally, the numerical simulation is conducted, compared to the traditional proportion-integration-differentiation control strategy, to verify the effectiveness and advantages of our proposed control scheme. © 2023 IEEE.

A Passive ISAR Jamming Method Based on Time-Modulated Corner Reflectors Under Asynchronous Control

The time-modulated corner reflector (TMCR) is an improvement of the traditional corner reflector utilizing time-modulated metasurfaces, which demonstrates superior capability in dynamically modulating characteristics of electromagnetic waves in real-time. Despite its potential, the application of TMCRs in radar imaging remains underexplored. This paper presents a passive ISAR modulation method through the asynchronous control of TMCRs, which can directly disrupt the ISAR imaging mechanism. Through the joint inter-pulse and intra-pulse periodic modulation, multiple TMCRs are alternately switched between strong and weak reflection states asynchronously, which can interfere with the alignment process of range profiles and further causing errors in initial phase compensation. The intra-pulse modulation model is constructed firstly, and the influence of TMCR and modulation parameters on the envelope correlation is investigated quantitatively. On this basis, the optimization model of inter-pulse modulation is developed, which is calculated through Genetic Algorithm (GA). Then the effectiveness of the method is systematically analyzed under varying application parameters, with corresponding applicable boundaries subsequently determined. Finally, experiments are conducted based on the electromagnetic simulation data and measured data of the UAV, which verifies that the proposed method can effectively interfere with the envelop alignment and phase compensation processes, thereby making the ISAR image blurred. © 1965-2011 IEEE.

Federated learning (FL) has been proposed as a promising distributed learning paradigm to realize edge artificial intelligence (AI) without revealing the raw data. Nevertheless, it would incur inevitable costs in terms of training latency and energy consumption, due to periodical communication between user equipments (UEs) and the geographically remote central parameter server. Thus motivated, we study the joint edge aggregation and association problem to minimize the total cost, where the model aggregation over multiple cells just happens at the network edge. After proving its hardness with complex coupled variables, we transform it into a set function optimization problem and prove the objective function is neither submodular nor supermodular, which further complicates the problem. To tackle this difficulty, we first split it into multiple edge association subproblems, where the optimal solution to the computation resource allocation can be efficiently obtained in the closed form. We then construct a substitute function with the supermodularity and provable upper bound. On this basis, we reformulate an equivalent set function minimization problem under a matroid base constraint. We then propose an approximation algorithm to the original problem based on the two-stage search strategy with theoretical performance guarantee. Both extensive simulations and field experiments are conducted to validate the effectiveness of our proposed solution. © 2023 IEEE.

Coherent optical emission of free induction decay (FID) excited by the multiple-photon resonance has been recently observed in nitrogen ions produced by intense femtosecond laser *** we report that orbit angular momentum (OAM) of the pump laser pulses can be transferred to the much longer pulsed free induction decay emission with the OAM *** was found that when the pump laser frequency approaches the fraction of the 391.4 nm emission (ν_(0)/5),an FID emission is emitted whereas its topological charge was identified to be 5 times of the pump *** to the reduced laser intensity with a vortex pump compared to the conventional Gaussian beam,the resonant pump laser wavelength presents a redshift,and the FID signal is significantly weaker.

The Gas insulated metal enclosed switchgear (GIS) equipment mechanical defects seriously threaten its stable operation, and the prediction of the mechanical state can help to avoid the occurrence of accidents. So this paper proposes an open-loop prediction model GIS mechanical vibration information based on long and short term memory (LSTM) network and time domain partitioning. First, the time-series database was constructed based on the GIS mechanical defects simulation experiments for both instantaneous vibration waveform and long time interval partitioning. Then, the LSTM network algorithm was used to cascade to form a deep prediction network, and the open-loop prediction model is constructed by associating GIS disconnector poor contact defect to instantaneous vibration data and long time interval peak and harmonic distortion rate parameters. Finally, multi-step prediction was carried out for GIS vibration information with different currents and different defect severity, and the modal effectiveness was verified by comparison analysis. The results show that the model can achieve effective prediction of transient vibration signal and long interval state feature information, and the accuracy is much higher than that of the closed-loop prediction method, and the error is reduced by 36%, which is beneficial to the prevention GIS mechanical defect in advance. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. For trajectory generation, quintic spline interpolation can ensure the zero velocities and accelerations of both the starting and ending points, presenting advantages not achievable by cubic spline interpolation. Due to the scarcity of quintic spline interpolation in existing research and applications, and considering its relatively intricate implementation process, this article presents a comprehensive derivation for its solution. Moreover, a three-dimensional (3-D) collision-free smooth trajectory scheme using quintic spline interpolation is proposed to generate collision-free and sufficiently smooth trajectories. Finally, two case studies are conducted to validate the effectiveness of quintic spline interpolation and the trajectory generation scheme in planning motion trajectories for robotic agents in a 3-D map with several obstacles.
