A novel strategy of fabricated flexible ITO electrode by liquid metal ultra-thin oxide film

Flexible transparent conductive films are gaining attention day by day over the last few years due to it is a key component of next generation flexible electronics and optoelectronic *** tin oxide(ITO)as one of the most widely used transparent conductive material is limited by the traditional deposition approach cannot be achieve ultra-thin,which results in its brittle ***,a novel strategy for fabricating highly transparent conductive films by liquid metal interface phase separation technique based on low-melting liquid metal of InxSn100-x alloy is reported,during the solid-to-liquid phase transition of alloy,the monolayer of surface oxide film segregated with the bulk phase and was printed on the flexible polyethylene-naphthalate(PEN)substrate under the van der *** novel strategy can directly print the ultra-thin self-oxide with the structure of ITO on PEN substrate,with the resulting of transparency over 97.5%and resistivity as low as 0.21 kU cm,providing a new way of lowcost raw ITO material as well as the personalized preparation *** desirable highly transparent conductive films are comparable to recently reported ITO film,together with advantages of pretty steady,make them attractive as various flexible transparent conductive electrodes,for example,an ultra-thin ITO film is developed for luminescent devices.

Model-guided design of dielectric elastomer actuators (DEAs) is essential for enabling their application in soft robotics. However, current modeling methods primarily rely on the finite element method (FEM), which suffers from low computational efficiency. Additionally, the simulation-to-reality (Sim2Real) gap, mainly arising from variations in material properties and manufacturing processes, poses a significant challenge. In this work, we propose a data-driven modeling framework aimed at accurately and rapidly predicting voltage-induced displacements while minimizing the Sim2Real gap. The framework integrates a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) model, which serves as a computationally efficient surrogate for the FEM model, and a cycle-generative adversarial network (CycleGAN) model, which mitigates the Sim2Real gap by leveraging adversarial learning to process both simulation and experimental data. Dimensional analysis is performed to extend the framework’s applicability across different DEA scales. The surrogate model delivers global predictions in just 0.8 s, achieving linear coefficients of determination (R2) of 0.99106 for release distance prediction and 0.99375 for actuation distance prediction compared to experimental results. Our model can quickly identify the feasible range of biaxial prestretch ratios required for generating the desired deformation, thereby streamlining the design process. Finally, a soft robotic gripper is designed and fabricated, demonstrating versatile object-grasping capabilities.

In this article, an adaptive event-triggered asymp¬totically fault-tolerant control (FTC) issue for nonlinear systems with actuator faults is investigated. An extended neural networks (NNs) technique is introduced to estimate unknown functions of the system under consideration. Compared with traditional NNs that ignore approximation errors, the proposed extended NNs further processes approximation errors, reducing the conservatism of the proposed algorithm. Then, within the framework of backstepping method, a new adaptive control strategy is developed by combining event-triggered mechanism (ETM) and bound estimation (BE) approach, which ensures the asymptotic convergence of system states while also reducing the transmission of unnecessary information, thus improving the utilization of communication resources. At the same time, the designed controller eliminates the adverse effects of actuator failures and system nonlinear terms. Finally, a simulation example of a single-link robot system is provided to demonstrate that the developed control strategy can ensure that all signals are bounded and system states are asymptotically convergent. © 2024 IEEE.

Plant root-derived carbon(C)inputs(I_(root))are the primary source of C in mineral bulk ***,a fraction of I_(root)may lose quickly(I_(loss),e.g.,via rhizosphere microbial respiration,leaching and fauna feeding)without contributing to long-term bulk soil C storage,yet this loss has never been quantified,particularly on a global *** this study we integrated three observational global data sets including soil radiocarbon content,allocation of photo synthetically assimilated C,and root biomass distribution in 2,034 soil profiles to quantify I_(root)and its contribution to the bulk soil C *** show that global average I_(root)in the 0-200 cm soil profile is 3.5 Mg ha^(-1)yr^(-1),~80%of which(i.e.,I_(loss))is lost rather than co ntributing to long-term bulk soil C storage.I_(root)decreases exponentially with soil depth,and the top 20 cm soil contains>60%of total I_(root).Actual C input contributing to long-term bulk soil storage(i.e.,I_(root)-I_(loss))shows a similar depth distribution to I_(root).We also map I_(loss)and its depth distribution across the *** results demonstrate the global significance of direct C losses which limit the contribution of I_(root)to bulk soil C storage;and provide spatially explicit data to facilitate reliable soil C predictions via separating direct C losses from total root-derived C inputs.

Microstrip antenna as a kind of receiver front-end equipment of microwave energy transmission system, which plays an important role on the overall transmission efficiency of the system. Conventional solid metal antennas have poor mechanical properties and are susceptible to plastic deformation and cracks under external forces, which will degrade their performance. Gallium-indium alloy (EGaIn), which is liquid at room temperature, has similar electrical properties to copper and can recover itself after bending, which can make up for the shortcoming of solid-state antennas;Polyethylene naphthalate two formic acid glycol ester (PEN) is an organic polymer material, which has similar electrical properties and superior mechanical properties to conventional materials. Based on the above two materials, this paper proposes a microstrip antenna array based on flexible materials, which can endure a wide range of mechanical deformation and has better ductility and mechanical toughness. The simulation results indicate that the proposed antenna array can operate at 2.45 Hz and achieve 90% efficiency of conventional antennas, which can better meet the demand of microwave energy transmission. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. The Isomap is a popular nonlinear dimensionality reduction method often used for low-dimensional embedding space. When the big data is noisy, Isomap often fails because of the graph structure' Short-Circuit Edges (SCE) problem. In this paper, an incremental Noise-Reduction Isomap (NR-Isomap) approach is to address the SCE problem in a graph structure. The GP kernels are combined with the manifold learning approach and provide significant results. NR-Isomap is based on the Hessian Locally Linear Embedding (HLLE) algorithm with Gaussian Process (GP) kernels. The HLLE algorithm provides the optimal solution to the SCE problem caused by an overly noisy dataset. NR-Isomap provides an answer to the Isomap SCE problem in noisy big data problems that cannot be handled using existing methods. Therefore, the GP kernel significantly improves and measures the performance of the NRI-somap accuracy. Our NR-Isomap method outperforms experiments on SK-Learn datasets and shows efficient results compared to Isomap. Our NR Isomap is much more efficient and faster compared to Isomap. The efficiency and accuracy of the NR-Isomap method are demonstrated theoretically and compared with other manifold learning methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Based on a simple coupled Lorenz model,we investigate how to assess a suitable initial perturbation scheme for ensemble forecasting in a multiscale system involving slow dynamics and fast *** initial perturbation approaches are used in the ensemble forecasting experiments:the random perturbation(RP),the bred vector(BV),the ensemble transform Kalman filter(ETKF),and the nonlinear local Lyapunov vector(NLLV)*** show that,regardless of the method used,the ensemble averages behave indistinguishably from the control forecasts during the first few time *** to different error growth in different time-scale systems,the ensemble averages perform better than the control forecast after very short lead times in a fast subsystem but after a relatively long period of time in a slow *** to the coupled dynamic processes,the addition of perturbations to fast variables or to slow variables can contribute to an improvement in the forecasting skill for fast variables and slow *** the initial perturbation approaches,the NLLVs show higher forecasting skill than the BVs or RPs *** NLLVs and ETKFs had nearly equivalent prediction skill,but NLLVs performed best by a narrow *** particular,when adding perturbations to slow variables,the independent perturbations(NLLVs and ETKFs)perform much better in ensemble *** results are simply implied in a real coupled air–sea *** the prediction of oceanic variables,using independent perturbations(NLLVs)and adding perturbations to oceanic variables are expected to result in better performance in the ensemble prediction.

Enhancing Geolocation Accuracy of High-Altitude Airborne SAR Through Tropospheric Delay Compensation

Geolocation is a crucial step in the processing of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. High-altitude airborne SAR systems present unique geolocation challenges due to travelling long distances through the troposphere. However, the impact of tropospheric delay on geolocation is often overlooked in existing airborne SAR studies, which can lead to inaccuracies. To address this issue, we propose a new positioning method, the tropospheric delay-compensated range-Doppler (TDC-RD) model. The TDC-RD model leverages reference atmospheric models to estimate and compensate for the tropospheric delay in SAR images. This model effectively mitigates the impact of tropospheric delay in SAR geolocation. To further optimize the TDC-RD model solution, a digital elevation model (DEM)-assisted dual iteration method is proposed. This method iteratively adjusts the target's plane position and elevation in an alternating manner. The effectiveness of the TDC-RD model has been validated through both simulation experiments and actual flight experiments. The results show a significant improvement in geolocation accuracy compared to existing methods, with a maximum reduction of 11.39 m and 24.33% in the mean absolute error (MAE) of SAR geolocation. The TDC-RD model has a great advantage in long-range SAR geolocation. Our research enhances the accuracy and stability of high-altitude airborne SAR geolocation without requiring ground control points. © 2025 IEEE.

A robust discretization method of factor screening for landslide susceptibility mapping using convolution neural network,random forest,and logistic regression models

The selection of discretization criteria and interval numbers of landslide-related environmental factors generally fails to quantitatively determine orfilter,resulting in uncertainties and limitations in the performance of machine learning(ML)methods for landslide susceptibility mapping(LSM).The aim of this study is to propose a robust discretization criterion(RDC)to quantify and explore the uncertainty and subjectivity of different discretization *** RDC consists of two steps:raw classification dataset generation and optimal dataset *** evaluate the robustness of the proposed RDC method,Lushan County of Sichuan Province in China was chosen as the study area to generate the LSM based on three datasets(optimal dataset,original dataset with continuous values,and statistical dataset)using three popular ML methods,namely,convolution neural network,random forest,and logistic *** results show that the areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUCs)of the optimal dataset for the abovementioned ML models are 0.963,0.961,and 0.930 which are higher than those of the original dataset(0.938,0.947,and 0.900)and statistical dataset(0.948,0.954,and 0.897).In conclusion,the RDC method can extract the more representative features from environmental factors and outperform the other conventional discretization methods.

To better implement the frequency domain dielectric spectroscopy technology to the nondestructive diagnosis of the aging state of transformer oil paper insulation, a new aging state evaluation method for transformer oil paper is proposed by integrating FDS and branch wavelet analysis. Firstly, the relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of transformer oil paper insulation samples with different aging degrees are investigated by frequency domain dielectric spectroscopy. Combined with wavelet analysis theory, an improved algorithm for time-domain dielectric spectrum is put forward, and the characteristic quantities representing the aging time of each part of oil paper are extracted. Finally, the effects of different insulation aging and moisture on the frequency domain dielectric spectrum and frequency domain dielectric loss integral spectrum and their variation rules are analyzed and summarized. The test conditions in this paper is proved to solve the influence of different test temperatures on FDS results, and it can quantitatively reflect the change of aging degree of oil paper insulation. © 2023 IEEE.
