Secure coding practices (SCPs) have been proposed to guide software developers to write code securely to prevent potential security vulnerabilities. Yet, they are typically one-sentence principles without detailed specifications, e.g., “Properly free allocated memory upon the completion of functions and at all exit points.”, which makes them difficult to follow in practice, especially for software developers who are not yet experienced in secure programming. To address this problem, this paper proposes SCPatcher, an automated approach to enrich secure coding practices by mining crowd security discussions on online knowledge-sharing platforms, such as Stack Overflow. In particular, for each security post, SCPatcher first extracts the area of coding examples and coding explanations with a fix-prompt tuned Large Language Model (LLM) via Prompt Learning. Then, it hierarchically slices the lengthy code into coding examples and summarizes the coding explanations with the areas. Finally, SCPatcher matches the CWE and Public SCP, integrating them with extracted coding examples and explanations to form the SCP specifications, which are the wild SCPs with details, proposed by the developers. To evaluate the performance of SCPatcher, we conduct experiments on 3,907 security posts from Stack Overflow. The experimental results show that SCPatcher outperforms all baselines in extracting the coding examples with 2.73 % MLine on average, as well as coding explanations with 3.97 % F1 on average. Moreover, we apply SCPatcher on 447 new security posts to further evaluate its practicality, and the extracted SCP specifications enrich the public SCPs with 3,074 lines of code and 1,967 sentences.

To calculate the scattering impact of scratches on space-based telescope systems accurately, this study proposes fitting scratch scattering using an anisotropic scattering model based on actual test results. The stray light nonuniformity and total stray light of each mirror in a Cook-type off-axis three-mirror system was calculated. A scratch illuminated with unit radiation power can generate a maximum stray light level of 7×10-5 and can obscure dark targets with a brightness ratio of 1×10-5 to 8×10-5. Furthermore, as the wavelength decreases, the total stray light generated by this scratch can reach 5.7×10-4 when illuminated with unit radiation power in the 200 nm ultraviolet band. Such scratches on the mirrors of an off-axis three-mirror telescope cause 7–8 times higher nonuniformity of stray light than roughness scattering, decreasing signal-to-noise ratio and affecting target recognition and image processing. © 2023, The Authors. Real-time generative design of diverse, "truly" optimized structures with controllable structural complexities

Compared with traditional design methods, generative design significantly attracts engineers in various disciplines. In this work, how to achieve the real-time generative design of optimized structures with various diversities and controllable structural complexities is investigated. To this end, a modified Moving Morphable Component (MMC) method together with novel strategies are adopted to generate high-quality dataset. The complexity level of optimized structures is categorized by the topological invariant. By improving the cost function, the WGAN is trained to produce optimized designs with the input of loading position and complexity level in real time. It is found that, diverse designs with a clear load transmission path and crisp boundary, even not requiring further optimization and different from any reference in the dataset, can be generated by the proposed model. This method holds great potential for future applications of machine learning enhanced intelligent design. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Aiming at the problem of low-frequency oscillation when photovoltaic power generation is connected to weak AC system, a linearization model of photovoltaic power generation is established, which ignores current inner loop and considers inertia control. The influence of various leading factors on low-frequency oscillation modes of photovoltaic power generation is analyzed. Finally, a low-frequency oscillation stabilizer (SSDC) is designed according to the phase compensation method to suppress the low-frequency oscillation of power system. The results show that the increase of input power of DC capacitor and the decrease of proportional control parameters of DC voltage loop and PLL will lead to the decrease of system damping and stability. Finally, the electromagnetic simulation model of weak AC system with photovoltaic power generation is built on PSCAD/EMTDC platform, which verifies the validity of eigenvalue analysis results and SSDC.

Sinus floor elevation with a lateral window approach requires bone graft(BG)to ensure sufficient bone mass,and it is necessary to measure and analyse the BG region for follow-up of postoperative ***,the BG region from cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT)images is connected to the margin of the maxillary sinus,and its boundary is *** segmentation methods are usually performed manually by experienced doctors,and are complicated by challenges such as low efficiency and low *** this study,an auto-segmentation approach was applied to the BG region within the maxillary sinus based on an atrous spatial pyramid convolution(ASPC)*** ASPC module was adopted using residual connections to compose multiple atrous convolutions,which could extract more features on multiple ***,a segmentation network of the BG region with multiple ASPC modules was established,which effectively improved the segmentation *** the training data were insufficient,our networks still achieved good auto-segmentation results,with a dice coefficient(Dice)of 87.13%,an Intersection over Union(Iou)of 78.01%,and a sensitivity of 95.02%.Compared with other methods,our method achieved a better segmentation effect,and effectively reduced the misjudgement of *** method can thus be used to implement automatic segmentation of the BG region and improve doctors’work efficiency,which is of great importance for developing preliminary studies on the measurement of postoperative BG within the maxillary sinus.

Trajectory Based Operation (TBO) is the future vision of air traffic management, and provides efficiency, capacity and safety benefits by managing aircraft trajectories cooperatively. According to air traffic operational characteristic of responsibility airspace division, this paper presents a conflict-free trajectory generation for pre-tactical phase in TBO environment. Considering the traffic flow distribution and flight conflict, a detailed conflict-free trajectory planning algorithm based on waypoint trajectory constraint is developed. Some simulation results based on typical operational data are carried out to show the feasibility of proposed method. This work is of great significance to the development of trajectory management and decision tools to support TBO. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The change of positive and negative DC load of bipolar DC microgrid will cause the voltage of dc-bus to deviate from the rated value, causing the positive and negative voltage to be unbalanced, and will increase the network loss. In order to coordinate the participation of different distributed power sources in the unbalanced voltage control of DC microgrid, this paper adopts the distributed cooperative control combined with primary control and secondary control. The droop control is taken as the primary control link of the bipolar DC microgrid, and an unbalanced voltage observer and an unbalance factor controller are established based on the consensus algorithm as a secondary control link to integrate the average dc-bus voltage and the voltage unbalance factor control. In this way, the voltage unbalances between poles and the average dc-bus voltage will reach consensus and maintain at the rated value. The simulation platform of bipolar DC microgrid is built in MATLAB/Simulink, and the effectiveness of the control strategy is verified. © 2020 IEEE.

Face forgery detection (FFD) is devoted to detecting the authenticity of face images. Although current CNN-based works achieve outstanding performance in FFD, they are susceptible to capturing local forgery patterns generated by various manipulation methods. Though transformer-based detectors exhibit improvements in modeling global dependencies, they are not good at exploring local forgery artifacts. Hybrid transformer-based networks are designed to capture local and global manipulated traces, but they tend to suffer from the attention collapse issue as the transformer block goes deeper. Besides, soft labels are rarely available. In this paper, we propose a distilled transformer network (DTN) to capture both rich local and global forgery traces and learn general and common representations for different forgery faces. Specifically, we design a mixture of expert (MoE) module to mine various robust forgery embeddings. Moreover, a locally-enhanced vision transformer (LEVT) module is proposed to learn locally-enhanced global representations. We design a lightweight multi-attention scaling (MAS) module to avoid attention collapse, which can be plugged and played in any transformer-based models with only a slight increase in computational costs. In addition, we propose a deepfake self-distillation (DSD) scheme to provide the model with abundant soft label information. Extensive experiments show that the proposed method surpasses the state of the arts on five deepfake datasets. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Infrared image recognition of power equipment is a necessary prerequisite and a key step to using the infrared image for equipment defect detection, while one of the difficulties is to solve the problem of low accuracy of equipment recognition, which is caused by the difficulty of extracting equipment feature quantity caused by different rotation Angle and scale of equipment image. In this paper, 12 kinds of common power equipment, such as lightning arresters, current transformers, voltage transformers, circuit breakers, and insulators, are taken as the research objects. An improved HOG-SVM algorithm for infrared image recognition of power equipment with rotation invariance is proposed. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively compensate for the shortcoming of the HOG algorithm without rotation invariance, and the average recognition accuracy of 12 types of equipment reaches 92.14%, which significantly improves the recognition accuracy of infrared images of power equipment, and verifies the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed algorithm. © Content from this work may be used under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Licence.

Faults on the dc line threaten the stability and reliability of the modular multilevel converter based HVDC (MMC-HVDC) systems. Employing a hybrid dc circuit breaker (H-DCCB) to isolate the faulty line is an effective method to handle the dc-link fault. However, the H-DCCB has to absorb and dissipate the whole energy stored in the system and to interrupt the fault as quickly as possible. Through analysis of the interruption process of the H-DCCB, it is appropriate to keep the inductance of the dc reactor (LGF) unchanged in the fault current rising stage but to reduce LGF in the fault declining stage. In this paper, a novel fault current limiter (FCL) based on the coupled reactors has been proposed, which contains two coupled reactors and an energy absorption branch (EAB). The proposed FCL utilizes the coupling effect between the two reactors to attain lower equivalent inductance than LGF during the fault current declining stage. It contributes to reducing fault current suppression time and energy absorbed by the arresters in the DCCB through partially dissipating the energy stored in the system by the EAB. Simulations are performed in an MMC-HVDC system to validate the performance of the proposed FCL. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.
