In this paper, we focus on the high voltage distribution network reconfiguration (HVDNR) problem for maintaining load balancing and loss reduction. According to the physical properties of high voltage distribution networks (HVDNs), we characterize more tailored categories of basic formulations for different topological components in HVDNs. Moreover, we further construct a reliability-aware HVDNR model using system-level reliability indexes. Results of case study validate the effectiveness of this proposed HVDNR model with loss reductions and system-level reliability enhancements.

Both phototherapy via photocatalysts and physical puncture by artificial nanostructures are promising substitutes for antibiotics when treating drug-resistant bacterial infectious ***,the photodynamic therapeutic efficacy of photocatalysts is seriously restricted by the rapid recombination of photogenerated electron-hole ***,the nanostructures of physical puncture are limited to two-dimensional(2D)platforms,and they cannot be fully used ***,this research developed a synergistic system of Ag_(3)PO_(4) nanoparticles(NPs),decorated with black urchin-like defective TiO_(2)(BU-TiO_(2-X)/Ag_(3)PO_(4)).These NPs had a decreased bandgap compared to BU-TiO_(2-X),and BU-TiO_(2)-X/Ag_(3)PO_(4)(3:1)exhibited the lowest bandgap and the highest separation efficiency for photogenerated electron-hole *** combination with BU-TiO_(2-X),the photostability of Ag_(3)PO_(4) improved because the oxygen vacancy of BU-TiO_(2-X) retards the reduction of Ag^(+) in Ag_(3)PO_(4) into Ag^(0),thus reducing its *** addition,the nanospikes on the surface of BU-TiO_(2-X) can,from all directions,physically puncture bacterial cells,thus assisting the hybrid’s photodynamic therapeutic effects,alongside the small amount of Ag^(+) released from Ag_(3)PO_(4).This achieves synergy,endowing the hybrid with high antibacterial efficacy of 99.76±0.15%and 99.85±0.09%against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus,respectively,after light irradiation for 20 min followed by darkness for 12 *** is anticipated that these findings may bring new insight for developing synergistic treatment strategies against bacterial infectious diseases or pathogenic bacterial polluted environments.

Research on Digital Twin Modeling Method for Combustion Process Based on Model Reduction

In response to the difficulty in obtaining combustion information within coal-fired boiler furnaces, a method is proposed in this study to improve the reduced-order model using clustering segmentation. This approach aims to rapidly predict the combustion temperature field inside the furnace by establishing a twin model of the combustion temperature field. Initially, a finite element method is employed to analyze the combustion system of a 600MW subcritical boiler under various operating conditions. Subsequently, cross-sectional data from burner nozzle positions at each operating condition are extracted. These data are subjected to Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD), Spectral Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (SPOD), and Wavelet Transform-POD (WT-POD) for dimensionality reduction to obtain modal data. Comparative analyses are conducted on the modal data obtained from different methods. Furthermore, based on modal data analysis, a Support Vector Machine (SVM) regression model is selected to reconstruct the temperature field. The average absolute error of the reconstructed temperature fields from three methods under different operating conditions is then compared. Finally, the model is refined using clustering segmentation, resulting in an improvement of approximately 0.6% in reconstruction accuracy. This enhancement demonstrates that the clustered POD-SVR-GA model achieves higher accuracy in reconstructing combustion temperature fields after clustering-based improvements. © 2024, The Authors. Constrained by the features of distributed photovoltaic (PV) power generation, as more distributed photovoltaic systems connect to the power grid, the demand for auxiliary services resulting from PV integration into the distribution network will significantly increase. Thus, when conducting market-oriented transactions, it becomes essential to consider not only the electricity market but also the auxiliary services required for distributed photovoltaics. This paper discusses the future distributed photovoltaic trading platform, price models, and the pricing and allocation of auxiliary services, aiming to achieve a virtuous cycle in distributed photovoltaic market-oriented trading. Furthermore, an example of distributed photovoltaic auxiliary services is provided, demonstrating that neglecting auxiliary services may allow distributed photovoltaic transactions to proceed, but they may fail to cover the cost of auxiliary services. Hence, the consideration of auxiliary services for distributed photovoltaics is crucial when organizing market-oriented transactions.

In conventional array signal processing, the resolution of acoustic imaging and the working frequency of the array are directly limited by the aperture and density of the microphone array due to Rayleigh limit. One solution is to sequentially scan the object through a prototype array to synthesize a large aperture or higher-density array, which is referred to as non-synchronous measurements (NSM). A fundamental problem in the NSM is the recovery of the missing phase relations between consecutive measurements compared to synchronous measurements (SM), and this problem is deemed as the matrix completion problem of a block diagonal spectral matrix. In this work, acoustic source reconstruction from NSM is considered as the problem of solving a system of equations (inverse acoustical problem). Bayesian inference based on Gibbs sampling is proposed to solve the ill-posed inverse problem. Sources strength distribution and noise are modeled as a Bayesian hierarchical framework solved by sampling in the posterior probability density functions (PDF). The proposed method is validated effectively by numerical simulations and wind tunnel test experiments.

With the increasing level of informatization and interconnection in the electric power system, the risk of external attacks on power systems is increasing. In response to the drawbacks of traditional static security assessment methods, this paper establishes two security metrics, which are voltage and power flow amplitude deviation security metric and power flow entropy security metric. Based on these security metrics, a dynamic security evaluation model that considers cascading failure is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed security metrics can effectively reflect the security of cascading failure propagation, thereby providing valuable insights for decision-making by power system operators.

When the power system is subjected to external disturbances or load changes, the electromagnetic energy between the system equipment will dynamically interact and rebalance, resulting in a process we call electromagnetic transient process. With the increasing application of new energy and power electronic equipment in the power system, the electromagnetic transient problem in the power system is more serious. Current voltage measurements in power systems are highly dependent on capacitive voltage transformers (CVTs), CVT can provide accurate voltage measurement signal for power system metering at industrial frequency, but its effective frequency band is very narrow, the maximum error can reach 150% within 1kHz, this paper defines this distortion as frequency response distortion. In order to compensate the frequency response distortion of the CVT secondary voltage, this paper proposes a method of inverse modeling of the electromagnetic pair. Firstly, the inverse model of the CVT is constructed based on the positive model of the CVT electromagnetic dual, and then the solution method is derived based on the inverse model of the electromagnetic dual, and finally the accuracy of the proposed method is verified by the simulation of the 50kV standard sinusoidal waveform and the simulation of the 2nd to 100th harmonic voltages. It is shown that the inverse model of CVT electromagnetic coupling proposed in this paper can accurately compensate the frequency response distortion of CVT secondary voltage.

Distributed Motion Control of Multiple Mobile Manipulators for Reducing Interaction Wrench in Object Manipulation

In real-world cooperative manipulation of objects, multiple mobile manipulator systems may suffer from disturbances and asynchrony, leading to excessive interaction wrenches and potentially causing object damage or emergency stops. This paper presents a novel distributed motion control approach aimed at reducing these unnecessary interaction wrenches. The control strategy for each robot only utilizes information from the local force sensors and neighboring robots, without the need for global position and velocity information. Disturbances are corrected through compensatory movements of the manipulators. Besides, the robustness of the control law against communication delays between robots is also considered. The stability of the control law is rigorously proven by the Lyapunov theorem. Subsequently, the efficacy of the proposed control law is validated through simulations and experiments of collaborative object manipulation by two robots. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control law in reducing interaction wrenches during object manipulation. Note to Practitioners-This work is motivated by reducing the interaction wrenches in the cooperative manipulation of objects by multiple mobile manipulator robots. During manipulation, robots often grip the object tightly, and any disturbance in the motions can result in increased interaction wrenches. These interaction wrenches do not contribute to supporting or manipulating the object but may damage both the object and the robots. Previous methods typically rely on extensive global position and velocity information or torque control of robots, which are not common in industrial settings and robots. Thus, their methods are challenging to validate or apply practically. How to improve the performance and safety of the train has long been a question of great interest. The object of this study is to achieve the recognition of train speed and mileage that are provided by the train Driver Machine Interface (DMI) and reduce the time consumed by model training. For recognition part, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and a Connectionist Temporal Classification (CTC) layer have been combined together to achieve an end-to-end recognition. For the part of time-consuming reduction, a collaborative computing was being utilized to offload the training tasks to each edge device. In addition, the process of offloading was modeled with Stochastic Petri Net (SPN). Overall, the recognition accuracy was significantly improved, compared to the traditional Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and CNNs, what is more, the time consumed on model training was also brought down as expect. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A Numerical Study of the Aerodynamic Effect of the Ski-Suits Surface Roughness on the Ski Jumping Athlete During the Flight Phase

Surface roughness of the ski-suits can have significant effect on the aerodynamic performance of the ski jumping athlete. Herein, several typical surface roughness configurations are examined through numerical simulations. The three-dimensional athlete model is subjected to both uniformly distributed and non-uniformly distributed surface roughness. Furthermore, the athlete's model is segmented into distinct body parts to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the aerodynamic contributions from each individual segment. It is observed that the that the trunk of the athlete and the skis play predominant roles in generating aerodynamic forces during the flight phase. Additionally, the optimal surface roughness values for each part of the ski-suits are determined using a uniformly distributed model. Subsequently, these distinct optimal roughness values are combined to create a mixed, non-uniformly distributed surface roughness model, to achieve an overall optimal design of the ski-suits. Flow structures are also presented to analyse the impact of these various surface roughness conditions. It is noted that the flow suppression near the back region of the athlete body can significantly reduce the resistance force in the horizontal direction. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
