In order to improve the utilization of energy storage, to explore the value of energy storage utilization, and to study the utilization of energy storage. In this paper, a shared energy storage optimization scheduling method based on wind power uncertainty is proposed. Firstly, the scenario generation method of Latin hypercubic sampling and Cholesky decomposition is used to quantify the wind power output, and the uncertainty output is converted into deterministic output; then the economic operation is taken as the optimal scheduling objective, and environmental benefits such as carbon capture and grid constraints are considered to carry out the optimized scheduling of shared energy storage; finally, the validity of the method is verified through the scheduling of the 6-node arithmetic example system, and the utilization of the energy storage is analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified by scheduling in a 6-node arithmetic system, and energy storage utilization is analyzed.

In this paper, an energy-efficient computing-inmemory architecture for binary convolutional neural networks, called XNORAM, is proposed. The XNORAM employs 6T feature cells and 10T weight cells to form one XNORAM column. Multiplexed XNOR operations are embedded in each column. To address the data reuse in convolutional neural networks, flexible dataflow mapping is supported on XNORAM to minimize the external data access. To verify the architecture, we design a 4-KB XNORAM prototype in 65nm CMOS technology. It achieves a throughput of 18. 5GOPs at 100-MHz clock rate and 1.0-V power supply. XNOR-AlexNet is performed on the design achieving 39.86 TOPS/W and 4.63 GOPS/KB utilization with only 1.3% accuracy loss comparing to the original XNOR-Net result on GPUs. © 2020 IEEE.

Trajectory planning is a fundamental function of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS), which has attracted a lot of attention from the public. Different from the Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV), due to huge inertia and limited navigable waters, it is a challenge to find an optimal and easy-to-track trajectory for MASS in restricted waters. An improved approach for trajectory planning of inland MASS based on the trajectory library has been proposed. Firstly, reusable trajectory units are generated based on ship motion models and corresponding controllers under specific rules;Secondly, the trajectory units are classified and stored according to the semantic behavior of the ship to form a trajectory library;Thirdly, the trajectory planning is modeled as an optimization problem, where the units in the library are served as potential solutions and the objective of the problem is to find a best sequence of the solutions connecting the starting point and the ending point. To validate and demonstrate the proposed method, an inland environment from Zhejiang Province is simulated and the proposed method is compared with the original library-based motion planning method. The results show the potential of the proposed method in inland regions. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Aiming at the serious problem of background harmonic amplification in Offshore Wind Farm with Long-distance AC Submarine Cable (OWF-LACSC) integrated system, impedance model of a domestic OWFs-LACSC system is established firstly. In consideration of the positive and negative sequence properties of sub-background harmonics in the power grid, a single channel is designed to mitigate two odd background harmonics with opposing positive and negative sequence characteristics by leveraging the fundamental frequency shift feature of Parker transform. Combining with resistive active power filter technology, a high-voltage active resonance suppressor and its control strategy are proposed, and the parameter feasible domain of the channel under different frequency harmonic suppression targets is established to carry out parameter optimization design. Finally, the electromagnetic transient model of an OWFs-LACSC system is built in PSCAD to verify the feasibility and robustness of the proposed device and control strategy.

The development of the new energy vehicle industry leads to the continuous growth of power battery retirement. Secondary utilization of these retired power batteries in battery energy storage systems (BESS) is critical. This paper proposes a comprehensive evaluation method for the user-side retired battery energy storage capacity configuration. Firstly, the retired battery capacity decline model is studied. Based on the monthly operation optimization results of the BESS, a smaller-resolution battery capacity degradation model is proposed. Subsequently, a multi-objective bi-level optimization model for such comprehensive evaluation of retired battery storage capacity configuration is established, considering multiple indices, such as investment cost, lifetime, net present value (NPV), payback period, and return on investment (ROI). The optimization model is solved by means of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and mixed integer linear programming (MILP). Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model and method are verified by the corresponding tests. The test results indicate that the comprehensive evaluation method of energy storage capacity configuration, based on the smaller-resolution retired battery capacity degradation model, can achieve more realistic, technical and economic indices of the BESS, and determine the most suitable scale of energy storage for investment by considering the economy, environmental protection, and technology of the BESS comprehensively.

Society 5.0 addresses human behaviors and their consequences in social management, while emphasizing the integration of Cyber-Physical-Social Spaces to achieve a highly connected and circulated society. Prompted by the various social needs expressed on social media platforms, Prescriptive Manufacturing (PM) emerges as a proactive pre-manufacturing paradigm. This paper delves into PM within the context of Society 5.0. It highlights the development of Human Autonomous Organizations (HAOs) and the delivery of “on-demand” smart services, which are customized to meet both individual and broader societal demands. The social sensing framework of social needs across different social media platforms that enables the identification and anticipation of consumer demands in real-time is illustrated. This data-driven insight leverages artificial intelligence and robotics to facilitate customized design and on-demand production, aligning product creation with real user requirements. Furthermore, we discuss the implementation of human-centered smart services in PM, such as virtual try-on, virtual fitting, personalized retrofit, user-friendly scheduling, and proximity logistics, which not only enhance consumer experience but also optimize resource efficiency By examining the symbiosis between technological advancements and social need fulfillment, this study sheds light on how PM and HAOs can foster a more responsive, sustainable, and inclusive economy in society, ultimately contributing to a higher quality of life and sustainable development goals of Society 5.0.

Evapotranspiration(ET)is of great significance for the ecological environment and water resource utilization in arid and semi-arid *** Mongolian Plateau,owing to drought,low rainfall,and extremely uneven distribution of water resources,has a typical temperate continental climate.A refined understanding of the spatiotemporal distribution of ET in this region will help in establishing regulatory strategies for climate change responses,regional livestock regulation,and grassland degradation *** this study,meteorological station data,precipitation data,and the Penman-Monteith model were used to study the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of actual ET over the Mongolian Plateau from 2011 to *** found that:(1)The spatial distribution of ET in the Mongolian Plateau showed a high trend in the north and east and a low trend in the middle and *** was a significant difference in the regional annual ET,with the highest ET reaching over 500 mm and the lowest being only approximately 70 mm.(2)The annual ET values in 2013,2018,and 2019 were relatively large,varying between 80 and 500 mm,and the overall ET of the Mongolian Plateau first decreased,then increased,and then decreased.(3)The temporal distribution exhibits a unimodal trend of increasing and then decreasing,with July being the turning ***-September was a period of high ET,with the highest ET exceeding 100 *** vegetation coverage was high,precipitation was abundant,and the vegetation ET effect was *** was a period of low ET,with a maximum ET of approximately 10 mm in January and December;the ET for the month with the lowest value was approximately *** quantitative inversion method proposed in this study can provide method and data support for north and central Asia,and other large arid and semi-arid areas.

Amplification of light pulses with orbital angular momentum (OAM) in nitrogen ions lasing

Nitrogen ions pumped by intense femtosecond laser pulses give rise to optical amplification in the ultraviolet range. Here, we demonstrated that a seed light pulse carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) can be significantly amplified in nitrogen plasma excited by a Gaussian femtosecond laser pulse. With the topological charge of = ±1, we observed an energy amplification of the seed light pulse by two orders of magnitude, while the amplified pulse carries the same OAM as the incident seed pulse. Moreover, we show that a spatial misalignment of the plasma amplifier with the OAM seed beam leads to an amplified emission of Gaussian mode without OAM, due to the special spatial profile of the OAM seed pulse that presents a donut-shaped intensity distribution. Utilizing this misalignment, we can implement an optical switch that toggles the output signal between Gaussian mode and OAM mode. This work not only certifies the phase transfer from the seed light to the amplified signal, but also highlights the important role of spatial overlap of the donut-shaped seed beam with the gain region of the nitrogen plasma for the achievement of OAM beam amplification. Vision-based occupancy prediction, also known as 3D Semantic Scene Completion (SSC), presents a significant challenge in computer vision. Previous methods, confined to onboard processing, struggle with simultaneous geometric and semantic estimation, continuity across varying viewpoints, and single-view occlusion. Our paper introduces OccFiner, a novel offboard framework designed to enhance the accuracy of vision-based occupancy predictions. OccFiner operates in two hybrid phases: 1) a multi-to-multi local propagation network that implicitly aligns and processes multiple local frames for correcting onboard model errors and consistently enhancing occupancy accuracy across all distances. 2) the region-centric global propagation, focuses on refining labels using explicit multi-view geometry and integrating sensor bias, especially to increase the accuracy of distant occupied voxels. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OccFiner improves both geometric and semantic accuracy across various types of coarse occupancy, setting a new state-of-the-art performance on the SemanticKITTI dataset. Notably, OccFiner elevates vision-based SSC models to a level even surpassing that of LiDAR-based onboard SSC models. Furthermore, OccFiner is the first to achieve automatic annotation of SSC in a purely vision-based approach. Quantitative experiments prove that OccFiner successfully facilitates occupancy data loop-closure in autonomous driving. Additionally, we quantitatively and qualitatively validate the superiority of the offboard approach on city-level SSC static maps.
