The reconstruction of paleo-elevation serves a dual purpose to enhance our comprehension of geodynamic processes affecting terrestrial landforms and to contribute significantly to the interpretation of atmospheric circulation and *** oxygen(δ~(18)O_w)and deuterium(δD_w)isotopes in atmospheric precipitation are systematically depleted with the increase of altitude,which are typical and widely applicated *** utilization of hydrogen isotope of hydrous silicate minerals within the shear zone system,volcanic glass,and plant leaf wax alkanes offers valuable insights for addressing evaporation and *** this paper,we review the principle,application conditions,and influencing factors of the hydrogen isotope *** addition,we discuss the feasibility of utilizing this technique for quantitatively estimating the paleo-elevation of the southeastern Tibetan Plateau,where multiple shear zones extend over hundred kilometers parallel to the topographic gradient.

The nonlinear modal coupling in a T-shaped piezoelectric resonator,when the former two natural frequencies are away from 1:2,is *** sweeping up the exciting frequency shows that the horizontal beam exhibits a nonlinear hardening *** first primary resonance of the vertical beam,owing to modal coupling,exhibits an abrupt amplitude increase,namely the Hopf *** frequency comb phenomenon induced by modal coupling is measured experimentally.A Duffing-Mathieu coupled model is theoretically introduced to derive the conditions of the modal coupling and frequency comb *** results demonstrate that the modal coupling results from nonlinear stiffness hardening and is strictly dependent on the loading range and sweeping form of the driving voltage and the frequency of the piezoelectric patches.

The inception process and stable development criterion of upward leader are the key to examine how well transmission lines protect against lightning. Based on the theory of leader discharge, this essay developed a simulation model of upward leader of transmission lines under negative lightning, and analyzed the upward leader development procedure under different circumstance. The findings indicate that there is a critical value of the space charge in the initial streamer region when a stable upward leader manifests around the conductor. The critical value is affected by the radius of the conductor, and is unrelated to the conductor height, operating voltage and lightning parameters. Thus, the critical space charge criterion of the initial streamer region for the stable inception of the upward leader in the transmission lines was proposed. The results derived using the criterion were in line with the observational findings of the ongoing artificial lightning test, proving the validity of the criterion. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a distributed scheme with limited communications, aiming to achieve cooperative motion control for multiple omnidirectional mobile manipulators(MOMMs).The proposed scheme extends the existing single-agent motion control to cater to scenarios involving the cooperative operation of MOMMs. Specifically, squeeze-free cooperative load transportation is achieved for the end-effectors of MOMMs by incorporating cooperative repetitive motion planning(CRMP), while guiding each individual to desired poses. Then, the distributed scheme is formulated as a time-varying quadratic programming(QP) and solved online utilizing a noise-tolerant zeroing neural network(NTZNN). Theoretical analysis shows that the NTZNN model converges globally to the optimal solution of QP in the presence of noise. Finally, the effectiveness of the control design is demonstrated by numerical simulations and physical platform experiments.

Using Zone Inflation and Volume Transfer to Design a Fabric-based Pneumatic Exosuit with both Efficiency and Wearability

Fabric-based pneumatic exosuits have a broad application prospect due to their good human-machine interaction performance, but their structural design paradigm has not yet been finalized and requires in-depth research. This paper proposes the concepts of zone inflation and volume transfer for the design of a fabric-based pneumatic exosuit with both efficiency and wearability. The meaning of zone inflation is to divide the inflation area of pneumatic exosuit into inflation-deflation zone and inflation-holding zone which can reduce the consumption of compressed air and improve efficiency. Volume transfer, a strategic distribution method of inflatable regions inside the garment, can effectively enhance the wearability of the exosuit. Using inexpensive thermoplastic polyurethane film and clothing fabric, the exosuit is made by heat pressing and sewing. The exosuit has a response time of 0.5s, a stress area of 1500mm2, and a profile of only 32mm, which can be hidden inside common clothing. A mathematical model is developed to predict the output torque of the exosuit with an error of 3.6%. Mechanical experiments show that the exosuit outputs a torque of 9.1Nm at a pressure of 100kPa. Surface electromyography experiments show that the exosuit can provide users with a boost from sitting to standing, with an average reduction in electromyography signals of 14.95%. The exosuit designed using these methods synthesizes efficiency and wearability and is expected to be an ideal paradigm for fabric-based pneumatic exosuits. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. In characteristic mode analysis (CMA), characteristic modes (CMs) on wideband frequency need to be solved for analyzing physical characteristics. This paper proposes an efficient method to obtain wideband CMs by solving the generalized eigenvalue problems (GEPs). In this method, the wideband Sherman-Morrison-Woodbury algorithm (WSMWA) is embedded into implicitly restarted Arnoldi method (IRAM). Numerical results show that the proposed method can save much CPU time. © 2024 IEEE.

Human-machine interfaces (HMIs) require minimal size and less interference to the users. Wireless and battery-free design of HMI devices can be promoted by wireless power transfer (WPT) technology. However, researchers often ignore the curvature of WPT coils. In addition, power transfer efficiency (PTE) and robustness to coil shifts are not both considered when designing WPT links. In this paper, a coaxial cylindrical coils model was presented to simulate curved coils, and several design parameters affecting robustness were investigated through electromagnetic and circuit simulation. We also proposed a novel method for designing WPT links that ensures both sufficient robustness and optimal PTE. Three sets of coils designed with the proposed method achieved an efficiency over 85% in the simulation and fulfilled the given robustness requirements at the same time. The coaxial cylindrical coils model and the proposed method were validated by experiments. A demonstration of the wireless powering of an HMI device was performed as well. In conclusion, this paper provided a guideline to model and design efficient and robust WPT coils in HMI applicaitions. © 2023 IEEE.

Mechanical defects in the travel of three-position switches not in place are an important factor in the failure of GIS equipment and a serious threat to grid security. In order to realise the effective operation and maintenance of mechanical defects in three-position switch travel, this paper builds a simulation platform for mechanical defects in travel using real three-position switches, studies the vibration law of the three-position switch breaking and closing action process under normal and energy resistance defects, and carries out a comparative analysis of the vibration characteristics and vibration parameters of three-position switches in different states with multiple measurement points in the time/frequency domain. The results show that: the vibration signal amplitude is related to the distance between the location of the measurement point and the location where the defect occurs;the normal three-position switch operates smoothly and has weak vibration amplitude and light pulses, while the impact tooth effect caused by the energy resistance defect produces a cyclic shock vibration signal with stronger vibration amplitude and longer transient action time;the absolute mean value of vibration in the time domain and the energy value in the frequency domain of the three-position switch defect are significantly greater than the normal state, based on which the qualitative determination of the presence or absence of defects can be effectively achieved. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu.
