With the development of wireless communication,the fifth generation mobile communication technology(5G)has emerged as a hot topic in highspeed railway communication system and has moved towards industrial *** the radio propagation characteristics in 5G high-speed train(HST)scenarios is essential for enhancing wireless coverage and overall system *** propose a novel 5G passive sounding scheme to extract channel impulse responses(CIRs)using channel state information reference signals(CSI-RS)from the target 5G base station(BS).Detailed procedures for timefrequency synchronization,CSI-RS detection and extraction are presented through *** the laboratory work involving absolute power calibration,phase coherence calibration and power delay profile(PDP)validation,we validate the accuracy and performance of the developed ***,a measurement campaign was conducted in HST scenarios encompassing both residential and undeveloped *** path loss(PL)model and the channel characteristics including stationarity interval(SI),multipath components(MPCs),shadow fading(SF),Rician K-factor,root mean square(RMS)delay spread and received correlation coefficients are analyzed and *** estimated channel characteristics and the statistical model presented in this paper will contribute to the research on HST radio propagation and the development of 5G railway communication systems.

Bacterial communities play a crucial role in permafrost biogeochemical cycling and ecosystem function *** interaction is one of the main factors in shaping soil bacterial ***,how would bacterial interaction influence the bacterial communities in permafrost of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)remains largely *** we collected paired soil samples from both the active and permafrost layers of two typical QTP permafrost regions in October 2020 for Tuotuohe River(TTH)and May 2022 for Aerjin(ARJ),and investigated the bacterial communities and the role of interactions in structuring the bacterial community and its assembly process through amplicon sequencing of the 16S rRNA *** study revealed distinct bacterial communities,with significant differences in the relative abundances of Proteobacteria(P<0.05),Acidobacteriota(P<0.001),Bacteroidota(P<0.05),and Planctomycetota(P<0.001)between the active layer and the permafrost *** importantly,we found that interspecies interactions,including both positive and negative associations,were strongly correlated with bacterial alpha-diversity and played a significant role in community variation and assembly *** findings also showed that the community assembly in both the active and permafrost layers was primarily driven by homogeneous selection of deterministic processes,with interspecies interactions accounting for more than 58%and 63%of all assembly mechanisms,*** is the first study to quantify the contribution of bacterial interactions in shaping the bacterial community and its assembly process in permafrost of QTP,highlighting the importance of considering interspecies interactions in future modeling *** work also emphasizes the necessity of including interspecies interactions in microbial process projections to reduce uncertainty.

DasAtom: A Divide-and-Shuttle Atom Approach to Quantum Circuit Transformation

Neutral atom (NA) quantum systems are emerging as a leading platform for quantum computation, offering superior or competitive qubit count and gate fidelity compared to superconducting circuits and ion traps. However, the unique features of NA devices, such as long-range interactions, long qubit coherence time, and the ability to physically move qubits, present distinct challenges for quantum circuit compilation. In this paper, we introduce DasAtom, a novel divide-and-shuttle atom approach designed to optimise quantum circuit transformation for NA devices by leveraging these capabilities. DasAtom partitions circuits into subcircuits, each associated with a qubit mapping that allows all gates within the subcircuit to be directly executed. The algorithm then shuttles atoms to transition seamlessly from one mapping to the next, enhancing both execution efficiency and overall fidelity. For a 30-qubit Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT), DasAtom achieves a 415.8x improvement in fidelity over the move-based algorithm Enola and a 10.6x improvement over the SWAP-based algorithm Tetris. Notably, this improvement is expected to increase exponentially with the number of qubits, positioning DasAtom as a highly promising solution for scaling quantum computation on NA platforms. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

Dynamic Searchable Encryption (DSE) has emerged as a solution to efficiently handle and protect large-scale data storage in encrypted databases (EDBs). Volume leakage poses a significant threat' as it enables adversaries to reconstruct search queries and potentially compromise the security and privacy of data. Padding strategies are common countermeasures for the leakage' but they significantly increase storage and communication costs. In this work' we develop a new perspective on handling volume leakage. We start with distinct search and further explore a new concept called distinct DSE (d-DSE).We also define new security notions' in particular Distinct with Volume-Hiding security' as well as forward and backward privacy' for the new concept. Based on d-DSE' we construct the d-DSE designed EDB with related constructions for distinct keyword (d-KW-dDSEX keyword (KW-dDSE) and join queries (JOIN-dDSE) and update queries in encrypted databases. We instantiate a concrete scheme BF-SRE' employing Symmetric Revocable Encryption. We conduct extensive experiments on real-world datasets' such as Crime' Wikipedia' and Enron' for performance evaluation. The results demonstrate that our scheme is practical in data search and with comparable computational performance to the SOTA DSE scheme (MITRA*' AURA) and padding strategies (SEAL' ShieldDB). Furthermore' our proposal sharply reduces the communication cost as compared to padding strategies' with roughly 6.36 to 53.14x advantage for search queries.

In image semantic communication, the complex wireless channel environment leads to the loss of image details and performance degradation during transmission. To address this issue, we propose an image semantic communication system based on Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) and Relative Position-Encoding (RPE), named GAN-RpeSC. Specifically, in the system design, we introduce the GAN network at the output of the semantic communication framework to enhance the image restoration. We integrate the RPE module into the Visual Transformer (ViT) module, adding the RPE module to its Multihead Self Attention (MHSA), so that the model can better capture the spatial location information of the image. Experimental results show that the proposed GAN-RpeSC has significant advantages in improving image transmission quality, with a 0.3 dB improvement in peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) compared to the ViT module alone. © 1997-2012 IEEE.

In recent years, research has illuminated the potency of implicit data processing in enhancing user preferences. Nevertheless, barriers remain in breaking through the constraints of implicit information. This study aims to bridge this gap by firstly constructing a triangular stable node network model, tailored to manage implicit information with precision. Recognizing the challenge of pinpointing novel structures within large-scale graphs, we propose SLTSNN-a triangular stable node network based on self-supervised learning for personalized prediction. SLTSNN innovates by maximizing mutual information between graph-level and patch-level representations, while augmenting graph representations through extended enhanced representations. Additionally, it incorporates triangular data associations and introduces a triangular allocation attention network, which emphasizes strongly correlated preference features among similar users. Furthermore, SLTSNN employs contrastive learning to maximize mutual information between graph vectors and hidden representations, distinguishing between high-order global and local representations. The model's effectiveness in enhancing user preferences and capturing new graph structures is evidenced by its performance on hit rate and normalized discounted cumulative gain metrics across three datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

Clustered heavy precipitation(CHP)events can severely impact human society,infrastructure,and natural ***,short-term climate prediction of CHP events is vital for the prevention and mitigation of associated *** year-to-year increment(DY)and multiple linear regression approaches,this study developed a seasonal prediction model for pre-summer(i.e.,May and June)CHP frequency in South China(SC)during 1981–*** robust predictor factors were identified:March sea surface temperature in Southwestern Atlantic,early-winter snow depth in East Europe,and winter soil moisture in Central *** predictors exert substantial impacts on presummer precipitation in SC via modulation of an anomalous anticyclone(cyclone)over the(subtropical)western North *** leave-one-out cross-validation test during 1981–2022,the prediction model exhibited reasonable performance in predicting the interannual and interdecadal variations and trends of CHP *** temporal correlation coefficient(TCC)was 0.66 between the observations and *** the independent hindcast for 2013–2022,the TCC was as high as ***,coherent covariations were observed between the frequency and the amounts of CHP,with a TCC of 0.99 for 1981–*** three predictors show good performance in forecasting CHP amounts over SC,with a TCC of 0.68 between the predictions and observations in the cross-validation test during 1981–2022 and of 0.86 in the independent hindcasts during 2013–***,the predictors also showed good predictive skill for years with high CHP occurrence(e.g.,1998 and 2019).The predicted high-incidence areas of heavy precipitation days were highly consistent with observations,with a pattern correlation coefficient of 0.44(0.55)for 1998(2019).This study provides valuable insights to improve seasonal prediction of pre-summer CHP frequency in SC.

The power transformer is the most commonly used equipment in the power system, and winding deformation is one of the most frequent transformer faults. The short-circuit impedance method based on ΔU–I to construct the Lissajous figures is a newly proposed winding deformation detection method in recent years, but there are still problems such as difficulty in detecting the small deformation of the winding, and it is difficult to distinguish between different types of faults. In this paper, on the basis of the existing ΔU–I constructing Lissajous figures, a winding deformation detection method based on the least-squares fitting Lissajous track coefficient identification is proposed, which can effectively detect the winding deformation and determine the degree and type of faults. Firstly, the primary side current and voltage difference are used to construct the Lissajous figures, and the lower half of the Lissajous trajectory is excised to change the trajectory into a single-valued function;then the least-squares method is used for fitting, and the identification of winding deformation is carried out based on the coefficients of the power series of the fitted coefficients. The research results show that the method can effectively identify the small deformation of the winding and its degree of deformation, and distinguish the amplitude deformation and axial deformation, which has a certain engineering value. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) has achieved remote diagnosis and real-time health monitoring through intelligent sensor devices and Internet of Things (IoT) technology, providing great convenience for analyzing medical conditions between doctors and patients. However, sensitive information such as patient medical data may face security challenges such as data leakage and abuse during transmission in the IoMT. To ensure the confidentiality and unforgeability of medical data transmission, scholars have proposed many cryptographic schemes. With the development of quantum computers, schemes based on traditional cryptographic primitives have become insecure. Existing cryptographic schemes for IoMT cannot simultaneously meet the security requirements of high communication performance, low computational overhead, and resistance to quantum attacks. Therefore, we propose an efficient module-lattice-based certificateless online/offline signcryption (MLCLOOSC) scheme resistant to quantum attacks while meeting the confidentiality and unforgeability requirements under Type I and Type II attacks. Compared with five recent CLOOSC schemes, theoretical analysis, and experimental test results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the other five schemes regarding computational and communication costs and security. Therefore, our scheme is more suitable for application in IoMT scenarios. © 2014 IEEE.

Micro-ring modulators with a small footprint and energy consumption have been explored for densely integrated high throughput optical interconnects. However, their strong dispersive response results in frequency chirp and pulse broadening, which limits their signal transmission distance. Here we explore the low chirp operation of a dual-racetrack modulator symmetrically coupled to a bus waveguide. With opposite index changes in the two resonators, the coherent couplings of two resonators' optical fields with the bus waveguide and their interference can cancel out the output phase variation due to a single resonator. This allows the push-pull operation to achieve a lower chirp compared to the single-drive operation. The advantage of lower chirp operation is experimentally verified through open eye diagram with 100 Gbps PAM-4 transmitted over 2 km single-mode fiber (SMF), with a peak-to-peak driving voltage of 1.6 V. © 1983-2012 IEEE.
