The high penetration of renewable energy sources connected to the grid has brought great challenges to the frequency stability of the power system. For the combined wind/pohotovoltaic/storage power station, it is of great significance for better frequency performance to realize the coordination control of active power. Therefore, this paper presents a frequency active support strategy for combined wind/pohotovoltaic/storage power station. By establishing the model of combined wind/pohotovoltaic/storage power station, this strategy applies model predictive control (MPC) to optimize the total active power reference value and the allocation of response power of the combined wind/pohotovoltaic/storage power station. For obtaining better frequency performance, this strategy aims at absorbing wind and solar energy resources and improving the economy of energy storage station. In order to verify the performance of the proposed strategy, it is compared with droop control using MATLAB/Simulink when the load increasing and decreasing respectively. The simulation results clearly show the effectiveness of the active frequency support strategy proposed in this paper. © 2023 IEEE.

Modern power systems with high penetration of renewable energy enrich the frequency regulation resources by offering more new clean wind and solar energy. In this paper, we present a bottom-top design of wind park's participation in the frequency regulation market considering the complementarity of wind park power outputs. By defining a quantitative complementarity index, we show how the complementarity contributes to the regulation reserve reliability of wind parks and the consistent market performance, and verify the conclusions via numerical analysis. © 2022 IEEE.

The grid structure of the modern power system is complex and the space span is large. When the power system is disturbed to generate unbalanced power, the transient distribution process among the various synchronous units leads to the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of the frequency response of the system. By measuring the generator Frequency and Inertia, the inertia center frequency can be calculated. Based on the two-generator system, the relationship between generator frequency and bus frequency is analyzed. A method for selecting the frequency inertia center node of the local power grid in the power system is proposed, and the inertia center frequency of the system is estimated based on the measured frequency at this point. Taking 10 machines and 39 nodes as an example, the simulation calculation is carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In order to improve the online performance of power system control decision-making, this paper proposes a method to resolve the economic optimization problem considering security constraints into a base-case optimal power flow master problem with the objective of minimizing the generation cost and a series of security check sub problems relevant to various faults. A parallel decomposition and coordination algorithm based on adjustable space slices is proposed to avoid alternating iterations. First of all, the adjustable space is sliced to form multiple slicing schemes according to different proportions. Based on the parallel computing platform and the slicing schemes, the primal dual interior point method is used to solve the base-case optimal power flow master problem. Secondly, security check of faults is carried out by parallel computing for different optimized cases. Then, the solution with the minimum cost is chosen from the safe solutions. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by a case of a city power gird in Guizhou province. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The removal of the DC line may lead to power flow transfer, which leads to the wrong operation of the AC line distance III protection. To solve this problem, a modified distance backup protection that integrates DC control information is proposed. First, analyze the characteristics of DC side control information and propose a power flow transfer identification scheme that integrates DC control information. Subsequently, the modified distance backup protection is constructed using the identification results of the power flow transfer. Finally, an AC/DC hybrid model was established to verify the feasibility and fault resistance capability of the proposed scheme. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes an evaluation method for energy storage (ESS) to participate in the FM auxiliary service market. The Area control Error is used as an influencing variable reflecting the FM effect of ESS, the correlation between 'FM power of ESS' and 'Area control Error' is established, and the FM effect value of ESS on Area control Error is obtained, eventually constructing an index to measure the FM contribution of ESS. Analyze the distribution of the FM contribution index of ESS based on confidence level, determining the contribution and economic benefits of energy storage in the FM market. Measure and calculate based on the actual operation data of a provincial power grid, this method can measure the FM contribution of ESS, providing a reference for the investment in ESS and development of mechanisms for participating in FM auxiliary service. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper explores the process of traditional voiceprint recognition, analyzes the traditional GMM recognition algorithm, and proposes a GE2E-based voiceprint recognition algorithm by combining it with the deep neural network. It firstly uses the Bi-GRU network to replace the LSTM network to prevent the lack of semantic information, then adds the SGD algorithm to optimize the speech features, and finally improves the stability and accuracy of recognition by the GE2E loss function. On this basis, a voiceprint recognition system based on GE2E is designed, and the overall performance of the system is tested. Additionally, a voiceprint recognition system is being explored for fault localization. The results show that the recognition accuracy of male voiceprints in the test is at [0.89,0.95], and the recognition accuracy of female voiceprints is at [0.88,0.96], and there is not much difference in the voiceprint recognition accuracy of the voiceprint recognition system for both male and female students, and the overall recognition accuracy is greater than 0.9. When applied in fault location, the error between the measured distance and the actual fault distance is within 0.1 meters, enabling fault location. © 2023 Yao Cui, Xin Huang and Xin Zhang, published by Sciendo.

Rapid and accurate static voltage stability assessment is crucial for the safe operation of large-scale interconnected power grids. Existing methods have failed to effectively filter key input variables in massive measurement data, limiting assessment accuracy. This study proposes an assessment method based on causal decomposition and reverse feature-enhanced temporal convolution networks. Initially, using bottom-layer measurement data as input, key variables are selected through causal decomposition, reducing the original feature set and enhancing computational efficiency. Subsequently, a reverse feature-enhanced temporal convolution model is constructed to fully mine data characteristics and achieve high precision assessment. Validation in an improved four-machine two-area simulation system demonstrates that this method significantly enhances estimation accuracy and algorithm performance while reducing the dimensionality of original variables.

Stability control system (SCS) plays a very important role in the operation of power systems, so it is correspondingly essential to ensure the reliability of the SCS during its experimental and verification process. However, there are numerous problems in the management of the paper form based experiment mode of SCS today, such as long circulation cycle caused by low work efficiency, insecure and diseconomy on storage. More importantly, it is difficult to query and review historical records quickly, and it may even lead to the loss of records for various reasons. In this paper, taking advantage of blockchain technology, all the information of each experimental stage of SCS, including the approval information, experimental environment information, experimental equipment information of each manufacturer, experimental test reports and conclusions, are packaged and distributed managed. And then, a blockchain based experimental management system framework with the unified data form and module interface is proposed, in which the whole process of process record can be traced and cannot be tampered with. The experimental management system can be applied in the whole process of the SCS, including the experiment scheme making, experiment environment constructing, experiment processing, result evaluating, and results storage, etc. The blockchain based mechanism and system framework is expect to take many advantage to experiment management of SCS. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Magnetic flux leakage, as a basic physical parameter in power transformer, can be utilized to characterize the status of the winding. And the DC biasing, as a common abnormal operation condition, is caused by solar storms, DC power transmission and some railway power transmission. It can induce the current bias and the core saturation, further changing the distribution of the magnetic flux leakage. Therefore, it is significant and valuable to analyze the effect of DC biasing on spatial magnetic leakage flux. In the paper, we design a transformer finite element model with its physical fieldcircuit simulation module. The model with some detailed winding structure can obtain the accurate magnetic field signal. Then the effect of different degrees DC biasing on the magnetic leakage flux is analyzed in the inner key positions. And the 10kV shrunken experimental transformer imitating the 110 k V transformer is selected as the research object. Depending on the experimental platform, we obtain the actual magnetic field signals and explore the incidence relation between the magnetic leakage flux and the DC biasing. © 2022 IEEE.
