The frequency regulation potential of temperature-controlled load aggregators means that, the total load reduction that all the aggregated temperature-controlled load users can participate in the frequency regulation. User demand response willingness refers to the willingness of users to adjust electricity consumption according to the price of electricity sales to provide demand response based on their own demand response elasticity. This paper establishes a user demand response willingness model including two parts of electricity cost change and temperature change, which is used to characterize the relationship between user frequency regulation potential and electricity price; then proposes a time series chained two-dimensional cloud generator algorithm for the willingness model to predict the temperature-controlled load operating state in the temperature-controlled load, and finally establish a two-layer model to optimize the frequency regulation potential of the temperature-controlled load aggregator, with the frequency regulation potential as the solution variable. The effectiveness of the algorithm and the model are verified through calculation examples, and sensitivity analysis is carried out.

With the integration of power electronic devices, the dynamic characteristics of power system have become increasingly complex. Renewable energy units are integrated into the grid through grid-following (GFL) and grid-forming (GFM) converters. In order to reveal the impact of hybrid GFL and GFM converters on transient voltage in renewable energy base, this paper analyzes the terminal voltage characteristics. Firstly, this paper simplifies the renewable energy base and proposes a formula for calculating terminal voltage. Next, this paper analyzes the impact of GFL converter parameters, GFM converter parameters, and the capacity ratio of GFL to GFM converters on terminal voltage. Then, we propose a calculation formula for the capacity configuration ratio of GFM converters in renewable energy bases. Finally, the theoretical analysis in this paper is verified.

Energy storage station (ESS) and wind farm (WF) have the potential to serve as a black-start sources to accelerate the power system restoration after blackout. However, the voltage security problem when start the auxiliary machines of power plants limit their reliability as black-start sources. A voltage control method is proposed for ESS and WF combined black-start sources to improve the voltage security during black-start. Firstly, the black-start process based on grid-forming ESS and WF is presented, and the voltage control framework is established. Then, a predictive control method considering the impact of active power on voltage variations is proposed, in which different optimization modes are established to obtain the active and reactive control sequences for WF and ESS. Finally, black-start simulation with Matlab/Simulink demonstrate the proposed method can improve the voltage security level when starting auxiliary machines of power plants.

Capacitance current has significant effect on long-distance fault of high-voltage transmission line, and the current single-ended quantity location algorithm can hardly eliminate the effect of capacitance current under the power frequency. To reduce capacitance current’s effect on location algorithm, this paper builds metallic grounding fault model based on RLC type circuit, takes fault location as the unknown variable, builds a mathematical location model within time domain applicable for taking account of capacitance current, and obtains the quadratic equation with one unknown for fault location. Then it substitutes the two independent variables for the linear term and quadratic term, solves independent variables through linear equation, and proves the solution exists and is unique. Then under analysis on the same difference error, it compares magnitude of error generated during calculation of the two independent variables, it corrects difference error first, and inversely solves fault location by selecting the numerically disturbed smaller independent variable. Simulation results indicate the algorithm can accurately take account of effect of capacitance current under different metallic fault conditions, and solve fault location in a stable and accurate manner.
