The volatility and uncertainty of wind power bring severe challenges to the power system, and the modeling of multi-wind farm output scenarios considering the uncertainty of wind power is of great significance in power system dispatching decision-making. Especially for area/ province with abundant wind power resources, where the reliability of the dispatching plan can be strongly affected by the volatility of large amount of wind power. In this paper, a practical method of generating probabilistic scenarios for day-ahead wind power output is proposed for provincial power grid with high proportion of wind power. Firstly, the K-Shape clustering algorithm is used to cluster the wind farm stations, and then the output scenario are generated by using the total wind power forecast value and forecast error probability distribution characteristics of each aggregated station. After arrangement and combination of the aggregated stations' scenes, the scenario minimization based on probability distance was conducted for clustering reduction to obtain the typical output scenes, and then the typical output scenes were assigned to each station according to the forecast value of the station to obtain the probability output scenes of each station. It is verified by actual power grid data that the scenarios generated by this method can combine with wind power predictions to well depict the random fluctuation of multi-wind farms output and has a good application prospect in the practice of day-ahead dispatching decision making. © 2023 IEEE.

With the continuous settlement and trial operation in the domestic power spot market, the price volatility analysis scenarios of the LMP widely used by power spot pilot provinces have gradually increased, and the real-time nature has gradually increased. Since LMP is affected by many factors, and different factors are coupled with each other, it is impossible to quickly and accurately analyze the reasons for node price fluctuations and pricing units. Therefore, combined with the domestic spot market clearing and pricing two-stage optimization strategy and the mature dual simplex theory, a marginal unit location method based on dual simplex sensitivity analysis is proposed. The method supports different scenarios such as unit independent pricing, unit, and constraint slack variable joint pricing, etc. The rationality of the positioning method is verified by the PJM 5 node and practical example. The results show that the method is universal and has been applied to several spot pilots. © state grid Electric Power Research Institute 2023.

This paper describes the corresponding control strategies for the normal and fault operation states of the islanded microgrid system. The islanded microgrid system consists of distributed energy resources (DER) such as photovoltaic (PV), hybrid energy storage (HES) and microturbine (MT) and loads such as pumping unit load (PUL) and equivalent load. In the normal condition, it adopts a voltage and frequency (V-f) control strategy for the inverter of MT to maintain constant voltage and frequency of the whole system and a constant power control strategy for the rest of the power inverters. In the fault condition, the front and rear stages of the PV system adopt constant power control and reactive power compensation priority control respectively, thus realizing low voltage ride-through (LVRT). The proposed control strategies can ensure the stability of voltage and frequency of the microgrid during normal conditions and the ability of the PV system to achieve LVRT during fault conditions. A simulation model of the islanded microgrid system based on PSCAD/EMTDC is constructed and the effectiveness of the control strategies under normal and fault conditions is verified. © 2024, state grid Electric Power.

The high penetration of new energy integration into the power grid has highlighted the problem of voltage stability. Continuation Power Flow (CPF) is an important tool for Voltage Stability Analysis (VSA). As the scale of new energy grid integration continues to expand, the method of power equivalent modeling of the aggregated grid in the main transmission network fails due to the neglect of the network structure and new energy models. This paper proposes a distributed voltage stability assessment method for high proportion new energy grids based on Distributed Continuation Power Flow (DCPF). The proposed method decomposes the global grid at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) into new energy Sub-grids (SGs) and the transmission Main-grid (MG), achieving distributed computation of global grid voltage stability assessment by exchanging state information at the PCC between MG and SGs. Simulation results of the global power system show that the proposed method is effective. © 2024 IEEE.

Capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) has the advantages such as low insulation cost, small size and large electric field strength margin, so it is widely used in voltage measurement, relay protection and high frequency communication. However, CVT has the capacitors and inductors in its structure, these components are sensitive to frequency, so it can not accurately measure harmonics. Considering the stray capacitance and coupling capacitance of capacitive voltage transformer, the broadband response equivalent circuit model of CVT is established, and a cascade hierarchical analysis method is proposed to deduce the complete transfer function. On this basis, the influence of key parameters of CVT on harmonic transmission characteristics is simulated and analysed. The simulation results show that the increase of compensation reactor stray capacitance will make the resistance band move to the low frequency direction, the stray capacitance of the primary side of the intermediate transformer affects the attenuation degree of the high frequency band, and the effect of secondary side of transformer stray capacitance on the frequency response of CVT can be ignored. The results have reference significance for accurate harmonic measurement and manufacturing of CVT. © The Institution of Engineering & Technology 2023.

The virtual synchronous generator(VSG) technology offers inertia support but also introduces active power oscillation, which are more serious when in multi-VSG. The previous studies proposed adaptive virtual impedance aimed at suppressing power oscillation in multi-VSG system. However, further research is still needed to thoroughly examine the adaptive virtual impedance coefficient. In this article, how the power oscillation of multi-VSG to be influenced by adaptive virtual impedance coefficient is investigated. Firstly, an analysis is conducted on the active power oscillation mechanism. Subsequently, the variation law of adaptive virtual impedance coefficient affecting active power oscillation is studied. Finally, The effects of different adaptive virtual impedance coefficient values is compared in simulations and experiment. © 2024 IEEE.

With the increasing integration of systems and the rapid development of sensor monitoring technology, the types of monitoring data are more diverse and the number of samples are larger in flight test and operation than before. Due to the large volume and high complexity of monitoring data, the system fault diagnosis and prediction based on monitoring data is inefficient. In order to solve the problem of monitoring data redundancy, a feature extraction algorithm based on BPCA-SPCA is proposed. A system with high failure rate is selected as an example to extract the features of the system monitoring data and realize the verification of data sparseness. The experimental results show that based on BPCA-SPCA the principal components extracted monitoring data can effectively express the features of the original data, and the feature sparse vector can provide effective input information for subsequent fault diagnosis and indirectly improve the efficiency of fault diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

SSCS plays the essential role in power grid operation to ensure the control reliability and effectivity. Due to the power system becomes more complex, it is inevitable to improve the simulation technology for SSCS. Thus, a digital-physical hybrid simulation platform for SSCS is required. In this paper, the requirements of the digital-physical hybrid simulation platform are analyzed and focus on the design of communication schemes for digital-physical hybrid simulation. IEC61850 and Aurora based communication technical roadmaps are proposed for the communication between RTDS and DSSCHP. Also, two options are available for the communication between SSCDs and DSSCHP. © 2022 IEEE.

In view of the particularity of Chinese word segmentation in the professional field of power grid regulation, the performance of Chinese word segmentation based on traditional statistical algorithm is frequently limited by the corpus training in the proprietary field, and the insufficient ability of Chinese word segmentation based on dictionary algorithm in identifying new words and disambiguation in the proprietary field. This paper proposes a Chinese word segmentation method based on the combination of dictionary and statistical method, and applies it to the application scenario of querying the operation status of power grid. This method constructs a professional dictionary in the field of power grid regulation by using the Double-Array Tree storage structure. Then using the CRF(Conditional Random Fields) train the text data to generate the model file, and the FMM(Forward Maximum Matching) method is used for Chinese word segmentation combined with the professional dictionary in the field of power grid regulation. A fast and accurate online word segmentation method in the field of power grid regulation is designed and implemented, it performs well in some main performance indexes. In the application scenario of querying the power grid operation status, the Chinese word segmentation results obtained by this method combined with the standard query sentence pattern realize the rapid classification of application scenario query and the accurate execution of operation commands, greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of querying the power grid operation status, and improve the human-computer interaction experience. © 2022 IEEE.
